Getting up with a groan, America dusted herself off and nudged his leg with her foot. "Yes. And if you try to keep sulking out here, I'll just ******** carry you to the bar."

"******** off." he spat. "I'm not a ******** kid, I don't need to go with you I don't ******** want to go with you." The idea of her carrying him like some trophy game into the bar rankled his pride, but there was nothing he could do if she decided to. "Haven't you done enough?"

"Then get up, I wanna have a beer with you and talk about all the s**t I've been through these past few months." Another nudge of her boot. "I wanna head about your ******** honeymoon, jackass, and just ******** talk with you." Here voice was full of accusatory irritation. How dare he not want to shoot the s**t after a decent fight.

"Or I'm gonna eat all the candy in that stash you think's a secret." So there.

Rolling her eyes, America bent down and, instead of carrying him, simply grabbed on of Rep's legs to drag him.

Rep would have made many toddlers proud with how effectively he went completely limp and made it as tough as humanly possible to drag him.

It was fortunate, that they were in a park, and that park had been fixed and kept up these past few months. Instead of a back full of gravel an glass, the most damage he took was a fairly serious grass stain. Entering the doors, she called out, "Hey, bartender! Drinks on this guy!"

Partway through the door she dropped Rep's foot, leaving him to be a particularly impressive doorstop.

Harrison was already waiting inconspicuously by the door out back. He'd set Al up with a drink, and watched a while, before ducking in for an ice pack.

He knew Rep had been getting too worked up, but he let it take its course.

The separation thing (even if it was just for part of the week) was hard on both of them. Harrison was grouchy most days, and Rep was feeling extra vulnerable on the island, double-chained up with the cuff and Marie. On the days Rep had back on island, Harrison stuck to him like a shadow.

He stiffened up at the thump of the foot, rushing past America make sure nothing was broke. He didn't look all that happy about the dragging.

He sat Rep up so he didn't drown in his own nosebleed, gently putting some ice on the damn thing so it would stop up. The washcloth in between Rep and the ice turned red.

His mouth tightened into a frown, but at least they were both conscious, and nobody needed limbs reattached.

"Damn. Got your face, huh? Have you ever had a spar where you stopped before somebody's shield was busted?" The question was rhetorical. He knew Rep wouldn't see the point in it. He hesitated, then offered a gruff, "Hi," to America while he checked Rep over.

Al had been quietly sitting at the far end of the bar next to the wall, nursing a beer and his near-nonexistent pride.

He almost didn't even hear the others as they entered, it wasn't until America's voice rang out that his head shot up from it's self-inflicted mire. He turned in his seat to face the door, already Harrison was on Rep. His mouth curled downward. He was disappointed, he couldn't deny that. He was disappointed in the fact he wasn't allowed to be there - win or lose. He had been dismissed, a mere pest. At least he had his answer to why Rep tolerated his presence; he didn't.

He still felt a sharp pang of worry, Rep was limp on the floor, but Harrison was joking... that was his idea of joking, right? Al never got Harrison's concept of humour.

He turned back to the bar, folded his arms and dumped his face in the circle. He shouldn't be here. No one wants him here. He decided to pretend he was invisible.

Rep's pride was always as fragile as crystal threads and being dragged unceremoniously like a sack of potatoes wounded it grievously. Though he didn't end up physically injured by the experience, his already dark and bitter mood dipped still further. It was instinct when he couldn't run away to just withdraw into himself, a learned coping mechanism to avoid humiliation or other things he could not endure.

Tracey also did not care for slights against his pride and by extension Rep's. He took his loss of free will as well as his wielder, baring fangs in the darkness of Rep's thoughts and bristling razor sharp wings. America had been tolerated up until a point, but some invisible line had been crossed. He was protective of Rep and injuries were more than just bodily.

When America let go Rep just stayed where he was, still boneless and resigned to his fate, he didn't want to be in the bar right then. Al was there for a start and he'd know that he'd lost, that he'd failed in beating a woman, the very people he informed the other hunter time and time again were useless. Even when Harrison stepped in, treating the nosebleed he seemed to still be somewhere far away, unfocused and distant, unresisting as he was sat up.

"Hey," America lifted her chin in greeting and watched Harrison go tend his boo before sauntering over to Al. Seeing his face, she sighed, "You two are so ******** stupid, but try not to take what he said before too personally." Leaning over the bar with a sharp hiss for her bruises and stretched muscles, America reached for a bottle of whatever was closest.

"That s**t wasn't 'bout you at all, not really. But it was a good fight, sorry you missed it."

Al slid his head from his arm-nest to peer at America. Well, he wasn't as invisible as he had hoped apparently. He wasn't sure what happened after he left, but...

"What did you do to him?" His voice was kept low but he struggled to keep the accusatory tone out of it.

In Al's eyes, Rep was a hard creature to describe. He was amazingly perfect and yet so full of flaws. Loud yet soft spoken. Hateful but caring. An unstoppable force and yet - frail. He was a contradiction in a contradiction all wrapped up somehow with cold hard honesty. Contrary to what Harrison believed, Al was not a masochist. He put up with the harshness and willingly submitted to it in feeble hopes of earning the glimpses of the more hiding behind it.

All this went through his mind in this moment, purely because it felt like America was somehow breaking a fundamental rule of physics and throwing all of time and space into disarray. Rep was in a situation where he could not be strong even when he was being weak. It wasn't right, and Al refused to see him laying in the doorway, refused to acknowledge such a thing was existing in this moment.

Rep was just over there staging a quiet protest over her right to bear boobs. That is all.

Harrison wasn't sure what had made Rep retreat so far that he was acting like he wasn't even home, but he didn't care for that either. Harrison talked to Rep like Rep was still on the same planet. He hunched protectively in Rep's line of sight.

"Nose is broke," Harrison grumbled, fishing some gauze and a splint from the soft kit he kept strapped to his thigh.

"Gonna hurt a little. Just gotta stabilize it so you don't go knocking it on anything."

"Exist," she muttered into her beer with a roll of the eyes. "Pretty much the usual. He got me so ******** hard in the tits, christ," she hissed, reaching up to feel out the bruises. "Face too, went ******** wild for a bit." She perked up a little, turning a grin at Al, "Was pretty good until he started sulking, but I'm used to that sort of thing."

Not wanted to further upset Rep, America didn't actually compare him to Taym outloud. But it was definitely in her heart.

Rep didn't move from where he was slumped, still far away. It wasn't the pain he was avoiding, if anything pain was something he embraced and enjoyed, it was just his pride, just being seen like this. Al wouldn't trust him anymore, even if he didn't openly say so, on top of that he was causing hassle for Harrison.

He just stayed put and quiet, at least until Harrison tried to do anything with his ridiculously sensitive nose.

Then he did a bit of screaming.
