Blue Magith
Thank you, Magith responded to Brown Ryth. You're doing pretty well yourself.
They were all flying well, drawing ever closer to the crimson who was weaving back and forth through the clouds. He knew that he wouldn't last much long, that he was tiring, his wings aching from the strain.
This only strengthened his plans to build up his stamina, and he would talk to E'lov after this to see if he had any ideas. Perhaps just flying more, flying like this, pushing himself to the limits, and then further would be efficient.
He'd have to see.
Magith knew that his chances were slipping away as his strength faded, but he was not out of the game, not quite yet.

Ryth's wings began to start tiring and he knew that if he was getting tired surely the rest of the field was too. But he was stronger, he could outlast them, couldn't he? He was in the front with the blue, he just had to keep his position if not advance. He would just hang in there and push himself as far as he could.

Lophorinth:

By the end of the loop, Lophorinth wasn't much closer to Mirath. Her encouragement gave him heart though. As she leveled off to get a good look at them Lophorinth was sure to croon and trill. He bobbed in the air, swaying from side to side as he sought to draw her attention away from the males directly behind her.

Jareth roared, he'd had about enough of dragons gaining on the crimson in front of him. He snarled, reigning in the urge to lash out at anyone close by, "Mirath, why drag this out?" he crooned to her, or .. attempted to croon anyway, anger rippling through him at how close other dragons were to her.

He enjoyed the sun on his back. The loop was fun. Ititth trilled to the crimson. The brown tried to puff up his chest comically when she glanced back. Hopefully he could win her with a laugh.

Keeping this sprint going was telling on Capuleth; while he was managing to hold his position he wasn't gaining ground anymore. He wouldn't give up though, no, she was too great and too glorious for him to give in to simple weariness; it would be a grave insult to her beauty.

Although Mirath was having fun flying, she kept looking back at the males. Were any of them close enough yet? It was good to see they weren't fighting among themselves, there was no need to ruin such a lovely occasion with such nastiness. Now and then she would wave her tail or waggle her wings at them. Come and get her!

The blue's tail twitched as he gathered all of his strength. If he was going to catch her, he'd need to do it soon, he wasn't going to last much longer. He could feel himself slowing, the others beginning to pass him, but he wasn't quite ready to drop out yet.

Capuleth raced onward after Mirath but he was still too far behind to catch her attention, or so he feared. The lithe blue bugled up at her, hoping to change that fact, and strove to close the gap between himself and the soaring female.

Ryth was beginning to get frustrated. These blues were faster than him yet they still hadn't caught her he supposed was the good thing. He was neck and neck with the same blue as before an then another one gained space on them. He had to get ahead of them.

It wasn't quite enough. Actually Ititth wasn't sure his comedian act had made any impression. He wanted this fun loving crimson. The brown craned his neck and was rather surprised to find himself at the back of the pack. Well he wouldn't put forward a good impression back here! With a deep bugle he rowed his wings powerfully; trying to catch up to the others and if possible pass them.

He was tiring now, despite being bigger than most blues, he was still 'only' a blue and had limited stamina. He wasn't getting any closer to the crimson, where others were passing him, getting within grabbing distance almost. It frustrated him a lot and it was getting harder for him to reign in his more violent side.

Mirath had a good deal of energy and was't quite growing weary yet, but she was growing tired of waiting for one of the males to catch her. She kept glancing back so often that if she could have flown backwards to watch them better, she would have. Should she slow down a bit to make it easier on them? But no, that seemed counter to the spirit of the whole thing. Still, she wished one of them would catch up to her soon.
