The game had gone great, she was pleased to see him just as into it as she was. The toss back was perfect and the little nymph was so ready for it. A little too ready for it as it turns out. The hop for the ball came just a little off and while she touched it, it was spiked down on her own side rather then making it over to his.
Only sign that she was bothered by it was a quick 'hump' sound and puff up of her cheeks. All of this was directed towards the ball. When she looked back to Chal it was all smiles as she declared, "Game point goes to Chal!" The rematch would be hers, there had to be a rematch. This was her game, that he beat her was really impressive. It was appreciated that he appeared to go all out on her.
"Hungry?" She asked, the game certainly worked up an appetite for her.

"Is it a tie?" Chal asked. He had honestly not been keeping track of the score and whatever track he had was lost in the fun. He felt back that the fun had ended, and wished that he had hit it better so that she could have hit it back again. No, that was not how competitive games were played, but she also wasn't one of his brothers. "Sure!" Chal said, remembering the picnic that she had assembled for them. "That was great," He smiled at her trying to encourage her. She was smiling too, but Chal thought he had seen a trace of disappointment when she had dropped the ball, "We'll have to play again."

Fluttering her wings she cheered back, "It was! You did really well, this time." With a wink and a playful elbow, the nymph was more than satisfied with a rematch. It impressed her though, that he managed to beat her at her own game the first time out.
No one got hit in the noggin either, complete success!
Approaching the picnic basket, she wasted no time putting out the blanket then plopping down none too gracefully. Settled into the ground, she patted the place next to her as invitation for him to sit as well. "Best thing about game, you can eat the ball after! Well..mostly, you don't want to eat the outside of it." She made an exaggerated face at the statement then busied herself setting up the picnic. There was no wasted a moment.

Chal couldn't help but notice that she had said 'this time'. "You're right." He said, agreeing to a statement she hadn't actually made. "It was probably beginner's luck." The male said it with a playful smile. Chal took a seat next to Alma, close, but just enough space that he wasn't being too forward. "Got to wonder what its like inside there after the beating we gave it." he mused as he picked up the coconut and moved it from hand to hand, inspecting it. "Anything I can do to help?" This was supposed to be him making up for the first date, sort of, and so far she seemed to be leading the way. Chal didn't mind that so much, but he wanted to at least try to be a gentlepae.

"I'd love to find a better alternative to the coconut" There wasn't one as far as she knew, but it did make for a good arm work out! Plus it was just as much fun to dodge them. Dodge coconut had not been a great idea, one game never to revisit. Giggling to his beginner's luck comment she added, "We'll see" There was a chance he was better then her at the game, but it was a chance she was willing to challenge.
As she pulled items out of the basket, she responded to his request to help. "Sure, you can open the coconut." If he was careful they could have coconut milk, if not, that was fine as well. Not questioning his ability to fulfill that task, she went about her task.

"I'm at least glad you didn't suggest we use bricks." Chal teased, thinking of Alma's ability to make brick houses. He thought for a moment of something that might be better, but was stumped. "A pillow would be softer... but I'm not sure it would work the same way." The male nodded his head slowly, looking at the coconut in his hands once again. He certainly wasn't as coastal as Alma was, but he was sure he could figure something out. "You bring any knives in that magical basket of yours?" Chal inquired.

Alma paused and gave the very real impression she was considering the idea of using bricks. She even gave him a cheeky little smile, "That has potential." It didn't, but the idea was fun enough to get a teasing remark. He saw through the issue of the pillow as she had. They really needed a ball of some sort that springy and less prone to hurting if it hit you. Why couldn't that grow on trees?
Oh he asked, he asked! Alma turned to him again, her eyes bright and a grin like the cat that ate the canary. "As a matter of fact, watch this!" What she pulled out was a four inch rock that was smoothed over like it had been wave beaten. Placing it down, she rubbed her hands together, more for show then need, and picked the rock up again. Concentrating on one end of the rock, she was able to manipulate it into a pretty solid sharp enough edge. "Try this!" She handed the rock over, dull 'handle' type zone facing him.

Chal took a deep breath, if she threw a brick at him, there was no way he was going to be able to toss it back. He would just be bricked. "I should stop giving you ideas." Chal said thoughtfully, although he knew she wasn't being serious... or at least he hoped. Chal took the rock-knife from Alma, "Perfect." His family had similar utensils so he was well familiar with them. It had been pretty impressive that she could do something like that. "I didn't realize your ability had so many uses." He thought it had just been for houses. Using the knife, he whittled a hole into the top of the coconut. "Juice?" He offered, peering into the hole to see if the inside looked like mashed potatoes now. It didn't.

Alma tried her best to create a 'evil' laugh at his statement "Mwhaha" Which dissolved into a cough followed by a giggle. Her evil laugh needed work. This didn't phase her as she went right back to what she was doing leaving it behind as a bit of fun.
Pride in her knife followed by pride in her abilities. With a huge grin she informed him, "I can shape rocks into bricks to build houses and change how they behave. Like a triangle with a really sharp edge." Knife was a 'malformed' brick, the logic was unquestionable. She also had never questioned the limit of her powers figuring it could do anything she wanted. Like the Grannie that seemed to be an imaginary friend now.
Pulling out jug she offered it to him, this item wasn't made of stone at least, "Awesome, now we have something to drink!" Sure they could drink regular water, but this was more fun.

Chal had a boyish smirk on his face, her attempt at evil laughter was just... adorable. Alma was just too sweet to ever be able to pass off as bad. The boy laughed right along with her, "I'm not sure you have it in you." He teased her lightly. He paused for a moment to stare at her bright, grinning, youthful face. Chal hadn't really anticipated this. He was just trying to have some fun, do something special for Alma even though he had never been obligated to after the first date brought on by a dare. It was just the right thing to do, he had never anticipated actually starting to feel something though. Sometimes he was the more serious brother in the family, and she was just... fun. At some point, Chal realized he had been staring and took in a deep breath as he glanced down to the ground. Hopefully, he hadn't been caught. His eyes focused intently on the coconut as he poured the milk into the jug. Chal finally looked back up, he couldn't stare at the coconut forever afterall. "That worked great, want the first sip?" He questioned her, trying to recover.

His response to her completely scary laugh clearly deserved an adult response. Fixing her pose to a more lady-like one, Alma wrinkled her nose and stuck her tongue out at him, just a little bit because she was a lady. Laughing at herself she briefly lowered her eyes and brought a hand up to push some of her red hair out of her face and back behind her ear where it belonged.
In doing so, by the time she brought her eyes back up, she was looking right into his. This caught her, almost like his were not letting hers go. Speechless and just looking back, she lost count of the time that didn't seem to be moving. Then in an instant, everything was back again. Blinking her own eyes a few times and wondering what had come over her, she took the offer without hesitation. "A well earned drink!"
Pouring a little bit into two small cups she took her cup and touched it against the one she poured for him. Lifting hers she took a few good sips before declaring with a happy 'ahh' "I love coconut!"

Oh yes, that had been a very adult response, and it only encouraged the thoughts that Chal had been having. He had been in such a daze, just lost completely in the other pae and his own thought that he had hardly noticed that they had been caught in each other's gaze for so long. Chal nodded his head in agreement with her statement as he took the second cup for himself. It looked like they wouldn't be having a rematch anytime soon. "Mmm, amazing." He wouldn't normally say that he loved coconut, but it felt so refreshing after their little game that he felt like he loved it now. Chal set the cup down and began working on cutting what was left of the coconut in half. He was completely avoiding his brain for now, best to stay busy.

Very pleased that he agreed she hummed a few cords while fishing out the rest of the snack. Wasn't really a full meal, but it had been judged enough when it was packed including what was rescued from Kit kat who was undoubtedly keeping her mother entertained. Setting out the offerings she watched him work on the coconut. "Victory feast!" the decleration was proud and loud with a full on beaming smile. Win or lose it hadn't mattered from the begging. Just spending time with Chal was a blast.

Chal finished up the work on the coconut, it gave him the opportunity to settle down his nerves at the least. He glanced up, setting the coconut halves down with he rest of the snack. "A great prize." He insisted with a gentle smile on his face. Though the real prize was getting to spend time with Alma. He reached for one of the snacks, scooting a little closer to Alma in order to reach it, he might have done it on purpose, but it was subtle enough. "Mhh hmm" he nodded as he stuffed his face with the snack.

Fluttering her wings, Alma reached for one of the coconut halves. In doing so her hand brushed over his. There was a moment of pause but otherwise it didn't seem to phase her as she used the halve as bowl and offered Chal a beaming smile. The closer proximity also didn't phase her, there was no sign of displeasure at having her date nearer. Wolfs Heart The words on Alma's never to exist tombstone "It really didn't phase her." rofl
