The boil was so terribly serious, which was just fine with Gabby - as he wasn't prone to fits of amusement himself. Nor was he much of a talker, which worked out in favor of the situation for Harrow once more. The boil pointed up to where buttons were being pinned, and Gabby considered it for a moment. He'd only brought a few in case someone desperately needed a little bling added to a bland ensemble, but putting one here could bring some extra attention for his campaign, without him having to do anything.
And that was the clincher, the deciding factor that had him searching for one of his diamond pins, and pulling it out of his pocket. He reached up and pinned the shiny blue pin very carefully, adjusting it until he thought it looked just right, and perfectly straight. Then he let his hands fall, and nodded in appreciation to the boil. "That's a kind offer. If anyone asks, that one is mine. They can find me if they follow the shine."
Harrow was discussing the possibilities of whether he won or not, and Gabby simply listened in on the conversation, vaguely interested in how much he did not want to enter into the council. It made him wonder if he was making the right decision, attempting to join the council himself. Would it be more work than he thought it was? Would they not simply ask him to stand guard outside their treasury? The thought was, despite the obvious pun, harrowing.
His mouth twitched in a smile when he thought of it, and he waved goodbye to Harrow, mouthing a silent thank you and a nod of farewell so that he did not interrupt the conversations that were going on with him and the other students.

Admittedly, the candidate she had yet to visit looked terribly ...bored? She was a little surprised, since it was not as though running a booth forever was particularly fun, was it? She had to keep smiling at everyone, and talk to them, and be good all the time. And here he was, looking bored just at the prospect-- however, when she approached he said "Please don't vote for me." The world, again, made sense. Amarus nodded her head.
"Are you literally, or figuratively attempting to keep your father, ah, off your back? As you put it," she asked, instead of valid campaign-related questions, her expression blank again. The way it used to be. Honestly, Amarus had met far too many students recently, and carried on too many animated conversations.
"Do you eat those when you are bored? Or do you eat them at the end, to skew the odds? How are we to guess, and what would it matter if I counted them? Surely I cannot correctly count every single one-- unless I dumped them out in advance," Amarus wondered. She didn't really mean it, obviously. Or at least one would hope. "600," she said, glancing at the jar and glancing back.

The reaper in charge of this booth was like, not even interested in the position?
"I um, won't," Sorrow offered. Unless it was like, reverse psychology? She'd read about that in the self-help section.
The envelopes didn't look big, but maybe they had like, t-shirts in them? Really folded up? And you weren't allowed to count.
"538?" She hazarded.

The next booth was fancy or at least stylish, though the boil manning it did not look best pleased to be there. When he was offered a pin though, he seemed to realize exactly why he looked so dour. He knew the feeling of doing things simply to keep one's parents happy, it was what had trapped him in a rut for such a very long time. Even the boil's qualifications made him feel distinctly sympathetic. He wouldn't vote for him, but not because he didn't think he could do the job but because anyone having to deal with controlling parents deserved a break.
He decided to take a dip at the jellybean jar and did so, guessing in a rough estimate how much he assumed was in there. He wasn't particularly good at measuring up estimates, his vision wasn't all that great either. Still, it didn't hurt.

When Olivia got to Harrow's booth, she simply gave the boil a slow little head tilt at his statement, declining the wish for a vote. His father was making him do this? How odd! (How would he even know if he was making a booth? Wouldn't he also find out if he was telling students? This was confusing... Olivia decided to not think about it anymore). It was at least a little sad that he looked utterly bored, what with the fun booths all around him and the carnival environment they had previously been involved with.
He had pins too, was giving them out. There had obviously been some thought put into this - and they looked very pretty, she would have added if she had actually said anything. And he had fun looking jellybeans on his table as well! How could that not cheer anyone up? They were so colorful and there were so many fun uses for them? So many decorations. But, that didn't seem to be the point of them, not in this case and Olivia gave the jar a good long stare. And then knelt down a little closer to give it another good long wide-eyed stare (it almost looked like she was counting them, but honestly she really didn't have the capacity to manage something like that. Even like logically taking a portion or area and doing some math. Really. Just... staring).
Olivia sat there for honestly a good five minutes before she stood back up, straightened out her puffy outfit and made an actual guess.

"Maybe I will eat some, so what?" It was hostile, even if Amarus's question was absent. Harrow lifted his chin to scowl at her. "Does it hurt to try? Just don't block for too long."
Amarus laughed. "I have no interest in remaining here to engage in such petty tasks, but thank you for the permission in a way. You are so tense, even around me," she said. "If you would ever like to feel more light than you do heavy, send me a message," Amarus said, before parting officially. "It is not a romantic advance, in case you are concerned. That is not my nature." Her nature was pretty blunt, when it counted, apparently. She bowed to the cranky candidate, an amused smile still sneaking onto her face.

Aisha seemed slightly shy around the bored looking reaper but she hoped to give every candidate a proper look. He did seem tidy and besides writing things, she wasn't sure what qualifications one needed to be a secretary.
"Here's my guess..." She's scribbled it on a piece of paper. "So like.. do we wait around to find out or...?"

Eeeeeeeeeee, Mayaa remembered this booth too! Or, at least, the boil who was running the booth. The teddy boil! (Jack forbid she never call him that to his face).
Even if he said he didn't want votes, Mayaa knew he secretly wanted to win. He was just being really nice about it. And so, she was going to support him, by taking a pin! ... or she was just really taking swag from all the booths because she was a terrible hoarder.
There also seemed to be a game for this particular booth, and Mayaa LOVED games!! She squinted really hard at the jar of beans, and then jotted down a number.

Hey look, it was teddy guy! He didn't look so happy to be there, but Piper could sympathize with doing things just to get parents off your back; in a way, her own booth was just that. Still, why go through all that effort just to try and not get voted for? That sounded so tiring. Unless that was reverse psychology at work, because she'd totally heard that stuff worked. Hmmm.
"I liked this place better when you got to build a bear," Piper commented almost wistfully. She was starting to regret making such a bad combo for Brenley. "You should totally make more stuff like that for events." The boil clearly had a sense of fashion that needed to be seen, elected or not.
But now, onto the game. Oh, good, this one was relatively easy to do! Off the top of her head, she jotted down a number and added it to the pile. "Is this where I wish you luck for not getting voted? Man, that's weird . . . Oh well. Good luck!" she chirped, placing a star-studded pink beanbag on Harrow's counter.
And then she made herself scarce. So many booths, so little time all of a sudden.

Don't vote for this boil? Nahm tilted his head, his eyes thoughtful and calculating. He'd certainly not had much of an opinion before he stopped by, but now he had one. "Good campaign," he grinned, and picked up a pin before he wrote down a guess.
Beans!Beans!Beans!Beans!! Character's name: Nahm How many beans? 915 Why this number? The date today.
Yuki strolled up to this booth, ready to offer a friendly smile and wish the candidate the best of luck-
Well, he would have if the boil seemed much less than thrilled about the idea of being elected. "Oh... Uh." While not offering a confirmation or denial on the statement, Yuki quietly took the offered pin and looked over the two qualifications he'd written down for himself.
Well, they were relevant for the task at hand... So... Maybe Yuki should vote for him anyway. Maybe the boil would make some nice friends and not be so grumpy all the time.
The ghost filled out a guess for the jellybean jar before he left, considerably confused by why someone would do something they clearly didn't want to do just to impress their father.
He shuddered at unease with the thought, and didn't quite know why.

The voting was done, and so -- Harrow packed up the box and, with a puff of breath, dumped out all the guesses onto the counter in front of him:
