“Ah, nothing,” Zo quickly said, still not sure if he should trust this mare. No, strike that, he KNEW he shouldn’t trust her. She wasn’t one of them. There was no reason TO trust her. But that didn’t mean that he should just wash his hooves of her. After all, their little family had already grown with the addition of Cece. And there was a jelly fish lurking around that looked like she might become part of their motley crew. Maybe Akis could become one of them. He doubted it, but there was no sense cutting those ties before they could even form. He managed to work his leg through one of the gaps and hooked a hoof on the pivotal thread. With a sharp yank his rope unraveled and he was free.

Akis blinked. “You escaped,” she said, surprised. “Awesome. Hey, can you cut me down, too?” She had seen what he’d done, but wasn’t sure if she could do the same with her own trap. Though, now she had the sinking suspicion that he hadn’t just escaped.

“Yeah, sure,” Zo agreed with a grin, feeling better now that he wasn’t trapped. It was great being the one with the power. Of course, the only way to do that was to NOT let her loose. He didn’t think she was a threat, but… eh… he should probably check with Mal, first. “I just need to check and make sure it’s safe,” he told her. He ignored her protests and zipped off to track down his brother.

“Hey! Wait! Where are you…. Ugh!” Akis glared after him. Okay, she was sure now. He was the one behind the trap. It was rather stupid of him to get caught up in it himself, but… whatever… She started tugging on cords, as he had, until she found the one that released her. With a shake of her head, she took off in the opposite direction that Zo had gone. Maybe he was just a punk, but she wasn’t sticking around to find out.

It took Zo a few hours to find his brother, and then to remember to bring him back. He was surprised but not particularly disappointed when he found his trap empty. He made a mental note to work a different escape into his traps from then on, then dismissed the mare from his thoughts. He had a shiny to display.
