There was some weird radio chatter while Etsali worked away on her beach shack base, and after a moment she realized it was because she'd accidentally bumped the settings to another frequency. Huh, they needed people back at that creepy museum? Blinking, she swapped back to her team's station and pressed the button. "Hey guys! Let's send those friends you made to the museum for a while!" Duty done, she turned to trek back to where she'd left everyone.

Luxara decided to check two of their bases quick. The theater and arena looked to be in good order! Now back to work.

She ran ran ran as far as she could, Stagdad keeping pace. Luxara didn't stop until she found some sort of...shopping district? Hm. So many stores with broken signs! Old windows and things! What the heck was a Brawllister?! There was a base here, too! Second time that someone nabbed the spot before them.
"Hey, uhhh guys?" Luxara called over the radio. "I found a mall or something? Is that what it's called? It's pretty far out, but worth checking! No one seems to be here buuuut there's a base? I don't know if they're on our side or anything, though... Guess it doesn't matter if they're not even there, huh?" Well, with little going on besides the occasional cheesebeast squeaking around her heels, it might be time to move out!

Well, no one seemed interested in working with him, even after he apologized. Whatever. He didn't need them anyways. He got to work on fortifying what would soon be his own glorious castle. Screw the whole rebels and royals thing. He'd take this town for himself. Well, at least a part of it.

Things were quite lonely in Vulpin's little castle. He was very bored with just his lusus to talk to. He trudged off deeper into the crypts, in search of new recruits. He could train them into knights, maybe teach them how to joust for his amusement! It had been such a long time since Vulpin had last seen someone maimed...

Six recruits! Not bad, Vulpin patted himself on the back. A nice even number so everyone had a sparring partner. Though, these goons didn't really seem like the fighting type. They liked to follow Vulpin around, groaning and swatting at his head, but they didn't seem very interested in fighting each other. And they were slow like the last group, too. Slow jousters or even slow duelists were incredibly boring to watch. Maybe it would be more useful if he just made them guards.

BOOM! What the heck was that KER BOOM Luxara looked off into the distance. She screwed her face up in confusion, trying to find where the noise was coming from. B O O M
Holy s**t! Was that the BEACH SHACK?!
"OH MY GOD." Luxara rushed over as quick as she could, hopping on Stagdad mid-stride. It was a pretty smooth move, honestly. She fumbled with her radio, pulling it out of a coat pocket one-handedly while holding onto her lusus with her other hand. "GUYS. GUYS. THEY'RE ATTACKING THE SHACK!"
As soon as Stagdad slid to a halt in front of the parting smoke, Luxara hopped off. Okay, this was looking pretty bad. But there were still large pieces of metal and wood laying around as casualties. Maybe she could...? Put it back together...? At least a little?
And if whoever did this decided to show their rotten face around here again, she'd show them what for! HMPH!

SOME JERK HAD DESTROYED THEIR FIRST BASE? THE TEAM'S PRIDE AND JOY? What was going ON tonight? Everything had been so okay and now stuff was exploding everywhere! Why were people doing this? Her team had done nothing wrong! They were just following orders!
With an irritated sigh, Luxara went back to helping Forera fix up a NEW AND IMPROVED base. But she was super duper totally NOT happy about these recent events.

Up she built, working hard at fortifying their main base. Forera was slightly proud of herself, really. It was hard, working after a bombing. But if anyone could do it, Forera could!!

BANG BANG BANG! Thwump thwump thwump. Forera wondered if she could work as a construction worker after all this s**t.
NAAAHH. She was too lazy to stand. Who would even hire her?? She would rather, like, open a piercing salon.
Hmmm....

DAILY REFRESH!
It's a new day! The realities of the conflict are finally starting to sink in. Rebel attacks are becoming more severe. The Alternian Military now proudly lists a fair number of rebel casualties. Injured royalists and those willing to assist in the injuries from demolition and conflict in Old Hemisect are told to report to the Coastal Base immediately. Captain Puchen's offer has been taken back now that the rebels have a greater edge than the royal forces in the tide of battles. "Attention, all recruits," she barked over the radio. "Force is necessary to win this battle. If we cannot will them to our side, we will capture and punish them. Take them down."
Today's Happenstance: If a Royalist Team destroys a rebel base, they can quote a user whose rebel troll they have captured. The troll must make a post in the Royalist Team's thread and roll 2d6 to unlock a new coordinate. If they fail to find a new coordinate, they must roll 2d6, then 3d6, etc until they do so (accompanied by RP text). The first new coordinate rolled will be used (only 1 coordinate is to be unlocked through this effect). They cannot roll in their group thread until this is done. This can be used once per Royalist Team.
If a Rebel Team destroys a Royalist base, they can quote two trolls who have unlocked the coordinate that the destroyed base was on. These two must post once in the Coastal Base attending to their injuries and the injuries of others before they can roll again in their group thread. This effect can be used once per Rebel Team.
Each troll is refreshed and ready to go with 2 available actions.
You guys rule! Keep up the good work!
Refreshers: POSSIBLE ACTIONS ARE:
Build: Roll 1D6 to build on a coordinate that you have unlocked – the roll result determines the durability of the base. You can also build on friendly bases to add durability, up to a maximum of 30 durability. You cannot build on a coordinate that already has an enemy base on it. Trolls with training in Construction get a bonus to their roll: Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6
Rally: Roll 1D6 to organize defenders, which can be assigned to any coordinate you have unlocked. The roll result determines the amount of defenders you have rallied. Defenders will be on stand-by until you mobilize them. Defenders are the second level of defense that can be assigned to protect a base. You must use defenders to take out defenders if you want to demolish an enemy base! Trolls with training in Recruiting get a bonus to their roll: Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6 Demolish: Roll 1D6 to destroy a base on a coordinate that you have unlocked – the roll result determines the amount of damage done to the durability of the base. At 0 durability, the base is destroyed. You cannot demolish a base with defenders assigned to it. Trolls with training in Demolition get a bonus to their roll: Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6
Intelligence: Roll a new coordinate (2D6). If you roll a coordinate you have already unlocked, the roll is wasted. Trolls with training in Intelligence get a bonus to their rolls: Apprentice: Roll 2 new coordinates (4D6) Journeytroll: Roll 2 new coordinates (4D6); if at least 1 of the coordinates is not unique, re-roll 2D6 until a new coordinate has been unlocked. Master: Journeytroll effect OR select one new coordinate from another team and unlock it. You must post with roleplay in your own thread and the other team’s thread for this to take effect. Grandmaster: Journeytroll effect OR Master effect OR… Roll 1 coordinate (2D6). If your allies control the coordinate rolled: add 5 durability and 5 defenders to that coordinate (may surpass the maximum durability/defender limit by 5). If your opponents control the coordinate rolled: it loses 5 durability and 5 recruits (does not apply if the numbers would decrease past 0). You additionally unlock the coordinate.
Mobilize: Choose one of two options: 1. Send defenders from your stand-by or a friendly-base you control to any friendly-base on a coordinate that you have unlocked. 2. Assault an enemy-controlled coordinate that you have unlocked using defenders from a friendly base. Defenders must be deployed to a base before they can assault an enemy base and cannot attack directly from your standby.
POST IN THE WAR ROOM THREAD IF:
You build a new base on a coordinate You reinforce a friendly base You assign defenders to a base You assault a base You do damage to a base You destroy a base You use the Grandmaster Intelligence perk to affect a base
Etsali couldn't believe some jerk had had the nerve to blow up one of her bases! What were those rebels even doing, messing up all her hard work? Keeper said this ought to be a good reminder that they weren't playing games out here, but...weren't they? Sure there was some fighting going down in other places, but all her team was doing was building fun bases. She didn't get it.
Group Progress: Coordinates Unlocked: [5,2] [1,2] [1,1] [3,2] [3,4] [2,2] [5,6] [2,5] Defenders on Standby: 0 Result of Action: Beach Shack + 13
Although it was pretty tempting to stay at the beach shack and make sure no one tried to tear it up again, Etsali had told the others she'd try and stay close, so she wouldn't miss out on anything. It was possible she was missing something even now, so she scurried off into the city to return to where she'd last seen them. But as she passed the sparse residences on the way, she paused. Something didn't seem quite right about them, did it?She glanced at Keeper, judging, then ran into the base to see. Even if she hadn't been the first to build here, she'd kept an eye on it for future fortifications, and now she could see that someone had messed it all up from the inside.
Frowning, the thief started fixing, then stepped back to consider her work. Yes, that would hold for a bit. Nodding to herself, she continued on her way. And there was the Crypt up ahead! Oh, there were more of those weird 'friends' guarding it, huh...? She eyed them warily, because they didn't seem quite right either, and then slipped past them to head into the base. Now where was...Aha! She grinned at Vulpin as she approached.
"Heeey! I just finished fixing some things the rebels broke up. What have you been up to? Did you find anything shiny down in here? Did I miss anything interesting?"

Running around, checking on things, and checking on OTHER things, Luxara passed by what looked like a shipyard. "I found ANOTHER spot that's already got a base on it," she reported over the walkie talkie. "Kinda reminds me of the one at the mall. Dunno why. It's right on the coast, n' there are some warehouses here if anyone wants to check the place out! Luxara moving on out!"
She continued on her way, looping around and going pase the residencies she had found before. She kept riding Stagdad to a rather open space, pretty abandoned, but market all the same. Hm. No base, to boot. Open realty perfect for the taking!
Luxara was JUST ABOUT to let her team know over the radio...but...hm. Had she seen Vulpin lately? How long had it been since she had heard him over the radio, even? The wheels in her head started turning.
If she remembered right, the last she had heard, he was at the crypts. Who even knows WHY anymore. That place gava Luxara the heebie jeebies. But she might as well check it out. If he WASN'T there...well..could always radio Forera or Etsali to build up.
As she came up to the crypt base after something of a time skip, she noticed it was...pretty well fortified! Almost too much so. NONE of their bases were defended so well! And there wasn't any sign of rebel attacks or anything. So why bother so much over a spooky place? Luxara snuck past the defense, if she could call it that. The troops stationed there looked a little malnourished. Like they were about to fall over from personal neglect or something. Very creepy.
She went right up to the door, stealthily listening in. SOMEONE was in there, for sure. And addressing Vulpin! Ah-HA! Some people knock or enter quietly. Luxara, frankly, didn't feel like it. "HEY, GUYS." she announced herself with slamming the door open. "Ets! Vullll! I see you've been, uh, doing a GREAT job with this base. Awesome! We can use your handy hands, get it, get it? On ANOTHER project!" She was already in and pushing him towards the door. "Hey, Ets, you can come, too! It can be like TEAM BONDING or something! We all sure haven't seen each other much, so..." Luxara's winning smile was a bit creepy. Kinda forced compared to her normal one. Almost...dangerous? "For might still be working on the bases that keep getting blown up, though. Should probably check on her, soon, too..." She shook her head, coming back into reality. "ANYWAYS. You guys ready for an ADVENTURE? Because I sure am!" Her smile twitched. She hadn't slept very well after all of the bombings going on as of late. It kind of showed.
