"Elephant with a baby blanket..." Kairatos chortled. The cat was a real cuss, but as far as guardian cats went, Faust was a good gu... er... Tom.

"I'll be fine, I've tangled with him before. I think the sticky b*****d would be bored without me around"

He deliberately leaned away from Themiscara's lecture, raising an eyebrow.

"Fine. Ok. I get it. I won't ditch people next time. I just don't want him to get his claws on some of the less experienced set, you know?"

"If they gotta beef with it, they can bite my a**." The Mauvian stubbornly remained in his place. Against better judgment, he allowed the Dark Mirror princess to stroke his fur, though he refrained from voicing the loud purrs given to company with Thraen. However, when she edged too close to the sweet spots, Faust kicked at her hand with a hind leg to stay her actions while he introduced the important topics.

"Alright, listen up Mohawk. You know we ain't gettin' nowhere with beatin' around the Negaverse on our own. We need to get smart about it, so we gonna go on a hostage hunt. But it won't be just any hostage, got it? We need to find one o' them PR slimeballs and drag 'em into, say, Mirrorspace, and give 'em what for 'til they can pass us some acceptable information on their buddies. Find out who to cozy up to and who to snuff out, and if we're lucky, that includes the one we capture.

"So first of all, we need to figure out who the hell's even in PR these days. Could be anyone. Easiest way to find out is to hit up one of them announcements they like to pull in the middle of the goddamn day, so someone a little inconspicuous could just... Sneak right in there and take some names down from the assholes runnin' a speech. These guys might be tough to find, but with your ability to just mirrorwalk every-goddamn-where you please, we might just be in the clear on that end. Then it becomes another repeat of find 'em, catch 'em, and beat the s**t outta 'em. Sound good?"

After introducing the information, Faust lowered his leg to allow for (encourage) more pets. "We gonna need to find some damn stealthy sons o' bitches for this s**t. Hope you got some ideas, cuz most o' my operatives are stuck on a bed like this."

A soft smile followed the young woman out and Orah turned back to her duties, pulling on another set of gloves before tackling the kairatos-mess once more. Lexi would be okay and she really did appreciate the concern her sister showed for her. She didn't deserve the care of the wonderful people around her, but she was infinitely grateful for it anyway.

Focused on what she was doing, the young woman tuned out what the pair were talking about until she heard some comment about angel and white wings, pulling wide brown eyes up as she glanced from knight to knight. Her dusky face darkened to rose as she flapped her sticky hands, embarrassed.

"Don't pull me into this!" She said with a laugh. "Do I look like an angel to you?" Considering the tar covering her hands, the stringy hair stuck to the sides of her face and the creased scrubs that had a day's worth of grime on them... she really didn't feel much like an angel right now. The last of the tar came away and Ida tugged her gloves off as she stuffed the dirty, oily gauze into a bag for disposal. Clean up done, the young nurse inspected the damaged skin left behind with a critical eye, her brown fingers pressing and shifting the skin around the wounds to get an idea of how bad the burns were and how deep the scrapes from claws... but thankfully, the damage seemed relatively minor.

"Well, good news. You look decent, all things considered. Sit here while I do the healing and you should be more or less good to go with only a few scrapes left. You could probably get by with some bandaids at that point." Orah said as she gave the broad shoulder a pat, a smile spreading wide across her face. If only every patient could be this easily dealt with... which was a reminder that she had two senshi to check on. "Themiscyra, if you want to help out a few shifts at the hospital, we wouldn't say no! We're always short handed and even if the help is only with shifting things and folding linens, its less that those with training have to do, you know? Every little bit helps. Come around when you're available and I'll put you to work."

Already she could think of nearly a hundred different things she could put the woman to work doing, but right now, there were matters to see to. Leaving the knights to their conversation, the young woman bustled to the bed where Cruithne sat waiting and surveyed the work she had done. It had been clever of her, to clean the wound, but not bandage it and Orah gave her shoulder a squeeze of approval before she set to the bandaging herself.

"That's fabulous, Cruithne, thank you! Your magic in concert with mine will put her well on her way to mending. Any time you want to come around and do some more of that, you are more than welcome." Orah said with a grateful laugh, brushing her hands off on her scrub pants as she surveyed the busy med tent with a practiced eye. Some of the other nurses and workers had heard about the coming healing and had gotten to work moving patients closer to the small taped X in the center of the tent, putting people over the tape line set down at a twenty foot perimeter. Anyone inside that line would feel the benefit of the crystal power and it was important to spread it to as many patients as possible.

"Show time." Orah sighed softly as she made her way back to the center to gather up Faust from his conversation.

"You ready, handsome?" She said as she leaned around the partition to the empty bed the guardian occupied, eyebrows raised. "I can give you back to Chariklo once I'm done."

Cruithne practically glowed under the weight of Ida's approval. She knew her own magic was nothing compared to the Princess', but it felt good to be recognized. Blushing faintly, she raised silvery pink eyes and smiled shyly at the older woman.

"I would be happy to help as much as I can. If Chariklo says it's all right, I would like to stay and help here. It would be a worry from her shoulders and I know she'd like it if I kept an eye on Amytis and the babies."

For that matter, Cruithne would like to be closer at hand to Amytis and her children. The senshi of lavender greatly missed her 'niece and nephew' and seeing them grow up. Besides, she thought. No one in the Negaverse knows Adalinde. She could stay here and still n** out for supplies as needed.

But this wasn't the time to daydream! Seeing the other helpers moving patients, Cruithne joined them. She'd haven't yet seen Ida's magic at work and found herself greatly curious. And when the dusky woman went to gather Faust, Cruithne followed and slipped in beside Chariklo.

"Ida said I can help anytime here. I would like to stay and do that. May I?"

----------

Taking the hint of the hind foot kick, Chariklo settled both hands on the bed and leaned back as she listened to the cat's plan. In and of itself, it made tremendous sense. She just couldn't quite see how they'd pull it off. And Mirrorspace... oy.

"Mirrorspace may be tricky," she said in a musing voice. She really didn't think that certain Dark Mirrors currently living there would appreciate the intrusion. But Mirrorspace was also large and it was concievable that she could hide a platoon of hostages there and never encounter Macholz or Leto.

"We can certainly try, but we'll have to be cautious while we're there. Mirrorspace is... well, strange. I'd rather not end up with anyone getting lost in there. We might never see them again."

But for snuffing out those who'd outgrown thier usefulness... Oh yes, she had ideas for them. They could spend the rest of eternity trapped in one of the energy draining mirrors.

As she thought, she absently reached out and began to pet Faust again. Stealthy. Oh, she had a few ideas there all right. Leto's camoflage abilities would be useful, but Chariklo wasn't sure that the other Princess would be interested in helping out the Resistance. And at the moment, she wasn't entirely sure that she knew how she could even bring the subject up!

"How much time can you give me to try and figure somethin' out?" she asked bluntly. "Because this s**t is gonna take some careful planning."

She would have said more, but the appearance of Ida and then Cruithne shut her up. Smiling at both, she waved at Ida to do whatever she needed.

"We'll just stay here out of the way, yeah?"

As Ida and Faust moved off, she listened to Cruithne speak and smiled again.

"Permission granted, kiddo. I know healing is more your thing than tryin' to be sneaky and all vigilante."

Urda leaned in close, occasionally glancing around and offering fake-innocent smiles at those who raised theirs brows or gave him looks. He wasn't sure they were convinced at all that he wasn't doing anything to hurt anyone, but a kid had to do what he had to do to get some news around here. Most of the adults didn't find much use for a young senshi now. No one wanted to risk losing such a young life, but he could be useful if given the chance. He had more to offer the Resistance than simply babysitting his younger cousin.

So he shuffled his feet again and glanced around, being careful to avoid catching Themiscyra's eye in particular. He saw her look in his direction, maybe even saw some kind of look on her face, but the teen ignored it in favor of the conversation that had since begun behind the curtains. He shifted a bit closer, foregoing whatever news was being exchanged in Orah's area.

The gruff voice -- the one that called him out earlier -- started speaking again, sharing some plot or another about a hostage or something. He...didn't exactly understand what was going on. He picked up the terms "hostage" and "PR slimeballs" and "snuff out", which kind of painted a decent enough picture for the general goal of the mission. Background noise and commotion distracted him a moment and he missed the next part, but when he got back to the conversation it seemed like it was already ending. He made a face and glanced back where the noise that distracted him had come from, suppressing the urge to actually make any noise to vent a little of his annoyance.

This was his shot, though, and he had more than half a mind to volunteer to sneak around the city and take down names of these so-called PR slimeballs. Any kid could do that and pass it off as a school project or something; hardly anything worth suspecting. Urda was about ready to step out, too, but he wasn't sure how these people would take to trusting a kid who'd just eavesdropped on what was probably supposed to be a private conversation...

The ego stroke offered by Orah offset the sudden interruption of her hands assailing his fluff at the end of his debriefing. While he had more details to hash out, such as exact times and people involved, he had no complaints over Orah's interjection. The lives of many dependent on her crystal power outweighed parsing out the details right then and there. "Yo, I'll catch up wit'chu later. Stay sharp, Beaks."

The large feline grunted in response, hanging relatively limp in her arms while she carried him. His feet simply hung through the gaps of her arms, loose and limber, bouncing only slightly while she walked. If nothing else, Orah had a gentleness to her touch that Thraen never exhibited - thus rendering it easier for the Mauvian to relax and allow some of his exhaustion to wash over him. And only when he realized he felt himself falling asleep after one slow blink did he actually struggle to sit up and maintain some alertness.

"'Aight Princess, you jus' do yo thing and I'll keep your aura on the DL." Afterward he wriggled out of and leapt from her arms, landing with a soft thump on the ground.

Luckily his Shadow runs offered a unique skill set to the cat - after many a mission, he learned to dampen energy amidst pressure and distraction, and even when moving (in the case of someone carrying him). Thus, suppressing Princess Ida's signature in these conditions felt like child's play. The only reason Faust never boasted of his efforts was due to the amount of concentration involved - he couldn't spare the heated discussion of his vast abilities while he had a Princess to reduce to an Eternal.

The young woman offered the other two a smile and a nod as she shifted Faust in her arms, doing her best to support the huge cat. He still managed to drape out of her hold though... Orah was simply not as broad shouldered or chested as Herger, or even Quenton. At least the guardian didn't seem to mind, because she felt him going limp as she carried him to the little taped X marked on the ground. When he roused and squirmed, she let him go, watching to make sure he landed okay when his jump took him to the ground. She'd seen the limp before, and the nurse in her was always watching injuries.

Pulling out her pen, Orah lifted it up and murmured an 'Ida Eternal Power, Make-up!' to activate the transformation that would turn her into Ida, Eternal Sailor Senshi of Orchids. Glowing flower petals flew up from her feet and swirled around her, coalescing into the folds of a skirt and hood, bows that dangled down her hips and soft-petaled orchids in her hair. More glow sprang up and markings like henna coiled up her arm and over half of her face, proof of her dedication to her asteroid. Her eternal fuku lasted only a breath of time before it began to glow again, the same purple glow down her arm, and the cloth suddenly fell to pool on the floor in rich folks. The braid of her hair unraveled and lengthened as well, small flowers appearing among the strands before a sudden sweep of white wings burst from her back.

The aura of a princess was absent to those who were powered in the med tent, though, suppressed by Faust as he sat at her feet. This was entirely why Ida never did this without a cat present... she didn't want to risk her aura seeping out, even if cats kept much of HQ suppressed most of the time. Better to be safe.

Gold appeared around the princess's hips and neck, dangling little purple gems as the transformation completed. Brown eyes closed as Ida began to concentrate and as she cupped her hands in front of her, the Idan Crystal materialized with its soft purple glow, hovering between her palms. Many of those around her had seen this before, done this same way.

"Ida Crystal Power..." The princess murmured as she extended her arms out before her, the crystal between her hands splitting and spreading apart like a blooming flower. Power radiated outwards and suddenly... flower petals that glowed with a gentle light began to fall like snow inside the taped circle. The appeared from a few feet above everyone's heads and drifted to the floor, disappearing whenever they hit something. When a living person was contacted, the petal sank into them and everyone within the circle felt a warmth, like sunlight, and smelled flowers... the warmth seemed to concentrate in wounds and slowly the damage reversed, lessening. Scrapes, cuts, bruises... disappeared entirely. Sprains, strains, punctures... eased. Stitches that would have taken weeks to be ready for removal would probably be able to come out in a day or two, and the worst of the injuries downgraded from 'critical' to 'stable'.

After a few moments, the light and the petals faded as the magic ran its course, but the moment it finished, Ida abruptly dropped all henshin and became once more just Orah... who looked decidedly green. Clapping a hand over her mouth, the young woman turned and hurried out of the med tent at a brisk pace, taking a sharp right turn the moment she got outside and disappearing around the side of the tent. A few of the other nurses glanced after her, but most of the Oasis staff was too busy moving patients, setting the hospital back to rights, to comment on it. She had been done for the day after this last task anyway.
