Luciano smiled and made his way to the two, but by the time he did Cassian was already about to leave for some Coffee. Luciano said, "Hey, think you can get me something really strong?- I'll pay you for your troubles." Luciano really hated asking people for favours but his break hasn't started just yet.

Cassian stopped and did a quick turn on his heel, still heading towards the door walking backwards as he responded. "Sure thing, couple shots of espresso strong enough?" He asked, taking a quick glace over his shoulder and slowing his speed to be sure he wouldn't run into anyone.

Luciano smiled and he said, "Yes! Thank you, Cas." Luciano pulled out his wallet and caught up to Cassian. He handed him the exact amount needed, and he gave him a little extra, "My treat." He said, then gave Cassian an athletic "smack" on his right arm. Luciano wasn't a very affectionate man, so that was as close to it as he could get.

Kate smiled at Cas and Luc's interaction. She liked (most of) the people she worked with, and having people drop by the desk helped time to pass A LOT faster.
She turned to Luciano. "What are you up to tonight?" She asked, pushing a conversation so she would stay un-bored.
Lucy could hear the waitstaff as they left the hotel's restaurant for the night. once the grand double doors came to a close, she let out a sigh of relief knowing that she was alone finally. She cherished these moments when she could be alone in her kitchen without the constant annoyance of the staff and patrons asking for this, that, and the other. She glanced at the clock "Hmm... it's getting late, I better head up to the roof and get to work" she said to herself as he walked toward the walk-in freezer. Using her key, she opened the door and turned on the light. Near the door, she picked up a large, black, case and a pair of binoculars. She spoke up inside the freezer "It's a damn shame you where not more helpful to me, I told you that if I had the answers I needed by dinner service, you would live to see another drug deal" she said as a combat knife was retrieved from her boot. Lucy stared at the bloated, hanging, frozen corpse of a local drug dealer she had already forgotten the name of and cut him off of the meat hook he was strung up on. She let out a sigh and spoke "Unfortunately, I have no use for anything freezer-burnt" She said as she walked out of the freezer with her equipment.

Luciano smiled at Kate, he replied "Patrol. . It's pretty uneventful. Everyone seems to be in line. How about you, Kate? What are you up to tonight?" Luciano was feeling pretty tired from the boredom, but knowing that Cas was going to return with coffee made him hopeful. And the boredom was slowly going away now since he was speaking to Kate. Some of his hair fell in front of his eyes; He pushed it all back with one hand, then adjusted his glasses, as he could feel them slip down the bridge of his nose a bit.
"I'm here for a little while" she said with a bit of a sigh, "then I'm thinking about going to the club. I don't perform tonight, but I enjoy hanging out with the girls. Have you ever been to my club?"

Luciano shook his head, then said to Kate "Can't say that I ever have. Clubs are not really my thing, but I will come by on a night that you're working there to show my support. If the drinks are good I'll definitely come by." Of course about the drinks bit he was joking. If anything he would have rather shown up to show his friend support. Luciano let out a sigh. He was now wondering if he should have tagged along with Cas to help him carry the coffee.
Cas wandered out of one of his favorite coffee shops that had a horrible bad coffee pun for a name, which to be honest was was probably one of the reasons he loved it, balancing a small caddie of drinks on one arm while gripping the last minute impulse buy of a bag of assorted pastries in his hand, his own drink in the other hand, and gripping his wallet between his teeth. He really hadn't thought this through when making his way out the door. Eventually he decided to stop and use a planter on the side of the street to readjust so he could start drinking on his way back. His favorite drink was a horribly complicated order that most of the places he frequented had down by now, excluding new employees. It involved soy milk, at least four different flavoring syrups, espresso, chocolate whipped cream, and various toppings. If the caffeine didn't give you a heart attack the amount of sugar would probably give you type two diabetes. After some careful maneuvering he managed to get everything set down without spilling, put his wallet away, gripped the bag of pastries in the same hand as his drink and took a better hold of the drink caddie. The shop was only a couple blocks down from the hotel in a small plaza that was usually overcrowded with business people in the early morning and during lunch hours. The streets were pretty empty around this time but the coffee shop had started keeping their doors open later hoping to cater to late-night business meetings. Cassian walked back into the lobby and headed over to the counter, feeling refreshed from the short walk. "One coffee, black." He said, placing the coffee on the counter for Kate. "And a triple shot caffè latte," handing the other drink to Luciano.

Kate smiled at Cas, "Thank you so much dear!" she reached for her packets of raw sugar and her chocolate syrup and began mixing them into her coffee. Once done, she took a big swig and sighed happily. "That's the stuff!" She said with a newly fresh burst of energy, she thought she could now get through her shift easily.
Luciano smiled, his first thought was "Ah, relief at last!" as he carefully took the beverage. His second thought was of the fact that he should have gone with Cassian to the coffee place to help him carry the drinks. Luciano was feeling bad, the gentle broad-shouldered Elf pulled out his wallet, "How much was the order in all?" he asked Cas, looking at him. He couldn't hide how bad he felt for sending him off on his own.

There's nothing quite like spending 20 hours straight glued to a computer screen, stopping only for bathroom breaks and the occasional glass of water. And after those 20 hours of site UI editing and social network updating hell, the dark elf behind the screen was just about ready to collapse. "I'm gonna dieeeeee~~" Lit stretched, raising their arms into the air while letting out a long yawn. Maybe it was time to actually get some fresh air.
A faint growl rumbled through the room.
...And maybe some food too. With that in mind, Lit got out of their chair, and lazily pulled on a pair of pants, a thin slate blue cardigan, and a black and white striped scarf. Couldn't exactly walk out into a fancy hotel wearing nothing but an oversized shirt and boxers. Their new room might have been an upgrade, but Lit missed being able to wander around their apartment in varying states of undress. They rummaged through the pockets of their cardigan, and produced a smartphone. Lit pressed the home button - the time displayed on the lock screen was much later than they would have liked. Well, maybe it wasn't too late to find something to eat.
Lit ventured out into the grand and opulent hallways of the hotel with phone in hand and tattered wallet in their pocket. It may have been about a week and a half, but Lit thought they might never get used to their new living quarters. And sure enough, within seconds, Lit got themself lost in the labyrinthine halls. "Aw come on, really? Really??? Lit sighed in defeat. Might as well just wander around aimlessly until they found either the elevator, or a person.
A few minute's worth of wandering eventually yielded a reward in the form of a person. Specifically, a certain old-looking dark elf with a slightly hooked nose. What was his name again? Sade? Save? ...Ah, screw it. Lit put a bit of speed into their step as they called out to the older dark elf. "Hey, uh, what's your face! Do you know where the eleva-!!!"
Not a good time for Lit to trip on the hem of their pants and slam into the ground face first. Maybe they should have put more effort into properly rolling the hem up. And also not neglect to eat for 20 hours.

I can't be bothered to write out an Eastern European accent phonetically, so I'll pop it into angular brackets. Sooner or later I may have him or another character talk in another language, so I'll put those in curly braces. Consider it a translation for convenience's sake.
Sabe was in his own world for a moment, before it was broken with a sudden thud. Startled, he looked all around him until he finally saw Lit in a heap on the floor. Oh god. I was just minding my own business.. He was kind of tired already, having been on his feet the entire day. Perhaps he'd make the best of this annoyance with a little humor at the other's expense.
He snickered to himself, and purposely slipped into a thick, nearly unintelligble accent. <"I don't know, why don't you check out that great map to your right?"> he said, pointing at it with this thumb. It was partially obscured by a planter that nobody cared to move out of the way.

Even though they were lying on the cold, hard ground, Lit was absolutely sure that the older elf - Lit just remembered that his name was Sabe - was almost definitely either a) exasperated or b) having a laugh. Or maybe even c) both. Regardless, Lit picked themself up, clutching their now very sore and very red forehead. Ow ow ow ow! Note to self: get around to permanently sewing the hem of all my pants shorter. Lit's attention was quickly drawn back to Sabe when Lit couldn't help but hear just the faintest of chuckles. And then...
A flood of unintelligible syllables that sounded vaguely like English but not quite poured forth into the hall. "Uh... What?" Thankfully, Lit managed to catch the entire sound byte so even though they had no idea what it meant, they could at least replay it in their head. A few painfully long seconds passed as Lit desperately tried to parse the unintelligible syllables into something they could actually understand, while also casting their gaze in almost every single direction. The sight was truly something to behold, and by behold I mean laugh at. Eventually, Lit managed to pick out a few words. Something something know, something something great, something something right???? Lit turned their head to the right. There was a nice leafy plant there. Wait... was that a map behind that lush foliage?! Lit immediately scooted to the map post haste, and carefully nudged the planter out of the way. Hallelujah! A map! Lit pulled out their phone and snapped a picture of it for future reference.
While still inspecting the map, Lit began to speak. "Yo, than-" They stopped mid-thank. They had just come upon a small revelation. Hey wait a sec. This old guy is perfectly capable of speaking in a mutually understandable dialogue... Lit's face froze into one of realization, disbelief, disgust, and more than a little embarrassment. They slowly turned around and looked up directly into Sabe's face. With great conviction, Lit uttered two words.
"You f*ck!"

The scrambling and frustration brought a grin to Sabe's face that blew away any pretense that he wasn't messing around with Lit. He burst into laughter to Lit's chagrin.
"You know, I hope you're not wearing those baggy rags when you're out on a job," he chided, following up with another chuckle, "Some good work's coming in a few days."
