There have been some cases where I find a heart that isn't a weapon at all." The monk seemed to be very interested so he wondered if he should show him an example by wielding his own heart. "If I were to use...your heart? No! I couldn't ask of you to help me out anymore than you already have. It wouldn't be right..."

Are you sure? Leon would be no match for you, you know?Illo said rebuking the youth with a humble brag thrown in.
I insist, you must at least try it once before you decide. For both your knowledge and mine, for I admit I am terribly curious to see how it works first hand. It seemed like Illo really wouldn't have it any other way, as he was looking Donovan dead in the eye now.

ｋｉｎｇxx ｏｆ ｈｅａｒｔｓ▐ ➟ Donovan was a bit unsure about that. Leon's madness was already a force to be reckoned with, and Donovan wasn't sure he could even wield Illo's heart. It was the thought of the monk's heart being too much to handle. "Even if I took you heart, I would have no experience wielding it. I wouldn't say each heart is measured by the person's overall strength, but something deeper." He could go deeper into this but he chose not to. "If you want to see at first hand then..." A portal appeared near Donovan's chest, using his right arm he reached in and took out a sword longer than Donovan's entire body. The portal disappeared and the sword just rested in Donovan's hand. "No big deal really..." He waited for a response from Illo.

Illo paused for a moment, and slowly started to applaud. Spectacular! That's really something!
Hm... But I see what you mean. My heart very well might be weak despite my training. Illo had a face of deep thought on.
You're sure you won't try wielding my heart? He asked offering one last time.
You should know, I only used about half my strength back then.

If only I had a really solid plan..." Donovan was mildly upset, but then he recalled a few of the monk's sayings and felt a little better about himself again. "Maybe I should take a break and find time to roam death city. Take my mind off of things. I doubt that I'll find Leo now, especially when I have no clue where he is. This is all my fault though, it's my fault that a human entered the Netherworld. There was a reason humans weren't allowed and--no! I've got to keep positive. He opened another portal to death city from his dimension and entered through it.

Illo Oh, no, I think it is I who owes you now. You must have taken great care of me while I was unconscious. Please, if you require a debt to be filled, then use my heart to defeat Leon before it is too late to sway him with power.
But, if you do not wish to take my help, then I shall venture on, neither owing nor having anything owed. Just no that I do not believe in such things: men owing men debts. And I do think you've found your path, so walk tall, young Donovan, Empath. I trust we will meet again.
Here the monk paused for a moment to offer Donovan one last chance to wield his heart in battle. If it had no adverse effects on the volunteer, then Illo certainly wouldn't mind it. Then he head toward the portal. Farewell, Donovan. Illo gave a Gong Fu bow to Donovan, and was out through the portal. {EXIT} Donovan can still grab the heart if he wants.
