Daliu danced away from the sudden spread of his wings, laughing as the breeze caught and flung her mane. She playfully reared and spun, twirling around him and laughing or grinning all the while. "I do not think I believe you. I think you are magic, and I am not sure there is anything you can do to convince me otherwise."
She drifted closer to him as they slowed, surrounded by spinning fireflies and feeling full of light and laughter. It certainly seemed like magic.

Daliu shook her head, laughing as she came to a dancing stop before him. "I am not sure if you're that magical... Isn't the problem with fey creatures that they hunt you if you have the strange gift to see them? Maybe you're that kind, and I shouldn't know you're magic but I do."
She shifted on her hooves and tossed her head. "What do you think of that?"

Daliu playfully widened her eyes at him and 'shied' away as though she were about to flee. "Aha! You admit it! And you make a fine point, now that I have told you I can see you and I know you are magic... Whatever shall I do?"
She pretended to consider, eying his wings. "And you can fly, so surely I cannot outrun you.. Am I doomed, then?"

It didn't take much for her to feel small, since he already seemed to tower so proudly over her. She was somewhat delicate in structure, and everything about him spoke of strength... And perhaps a bit of menace, when he flared his wings and loomed at her. But she wanted to take the wind out of his wings and tuck herself safely under his chin... She just didn't think he would allow it.
"I feared as much." She admitted sorrowfully, pretending to slink backwards. A moment later she straightened, lifting one foreleg, mischief sparking in her eyes. "Ahh, but if you did could you truly catch up?"

Daliu narrowed her eyes at him, smiling faintly as she crouched for a moment. "I suppose we very well might..."
At 'two' she bolted to the nearby path, laughing as she left him behind. He had promised her a head start after all, but he never said how much of one she could have! White tail trailing after her like a comet, she streaked through another glade and wove around a knot of trees that cropped up in her path. She wasn't sure if he'd follow on the ground or in the air, but found she didn't mind either way.

And what a beautiful sight it was... flares of fireflies zoomed into the air around their paths, disturbing their nests as the two soq bolted past. "The fey are coming for you Daliu..." he called in a mock-foreboding voice.

He was going to catch her, and she knew it. She didn't much mind it, either, as it was much more fun to be with him than to be running through the woods. But it didn't mean she wouldn't weave through the tangle of trees until he managed to find her. She glanced back at the sound of hooves and squeaked a laugh as she rounded another clutch of trees, shaking her head as fireflies erupted from the brush and swirled around her.
"Oh no!" She called over her shoulder. "I shall hide! I will ne'er go near fairy rings again, and stop hunting for four-leaf clovers!"
She kicked her heels up as she leapt a fallen tree. "I won't even wish on a star ever again!"

"If it will keep the fey from hunting me, never again!" She laughed, shaking her head as she skirted under a low-hanging branch, hooves disturbing some of the wildflowers growing at the foot of the oak.
The petals scattered in the movement, releasing a softly-sweet scent into the night breeze. She laughed and scattered the petals further, dancing about in the shadow of the tree. "No?"
The tug of her tail made her laugh and pirouette, spinning about to face her captor. "Here now sir! Now that you caught me, what do you propose?"

Daliu danced slightly away when he slid to a halt, laughing at the chase as well as the mock-ferocity in his expression. She pranced in place, eyes shining as she grinned up at him. She probably should have acted like she was afraid, but the chase through the woods had her heart racing and her companion just made her want to smile or laugh in turn.
"Locked in a cave? So I may never tell another soul?" She teased, giving him a sly smile. "Well I can certainly understand, as surely such a secret should be kept..."
She laughed softly, ducking her head. "Well, with such an enchanted companion I am afraid I may never wish to leave you again."
She considered his spread wings, and sighed as though she had lost all hope... But she couldn't help smiling at him again. "Yes, I shall willingly go with you, Son of the Stars, my own Fey Lord. Perhaps if I am a willing captive, I will be allowed to wander the glades in your company from time to time?"
