Sparing just for training? RIDICULOUS. Running for the fun of it? UNHEARD OF.
Or maybe Jala was just a really impractical ghoul.

He must really not want her to gave her way, hee hee.

She smiled, tail swishing.

'Fired up' wasn't exactly the way Draven would say it. 'Too afraid to lose' was much more likely. Still, he didn't want to seem too scared, so he moved in close.
"I dunno yet. I promise I'll think of something good," he gave her his very best 'cat that ate the canary' grin, and then took a swing at her.

Jala arched an eyebrow, but couldn't help snickering. It probably didn't help that the roles of "cat and canary" were well... it wasn't hard to see who fit who.
"Intriguing. I do find myself wanting to know."
Still, that didn't mean she was going to give him a free win. Not that easily.
It also helped that he moved in closer, and while it seemed like she was giving him easy hits, it was because she was baiting him. It was a common trick, really. Give the prey a shard of hope, and then... pounce.
Draven would find himself on his back once more, Jala grinning down at him as her snake tail waved about gleefully.
"But I would suggest you solidify your resolve if you plan on turning this around."

He really should have been expecting her attack. "Gah!" She knocked the wind right out of him. He was trying, Jala. He really was. But...it was hard to do anything when your opponent was just better at sparing than you. And when she was sitting on top of you.
"What if...I want you to win? He didn't know why he said it. It had seemed smart, until it left his lips. She was going to kill him.

Aww, perhaps she shouldn't have interrupted him like that. She did kinda want to know.

She smiled, tail curling around her
"I don't like it..."
Her snake tail reared up.
"One bit"
And bit down on his shoulder.

He tried to grin at her. But really. It was a lot harder to act tough when all pinned to the ground.
But then her tail bit him. BIT HIM. Draven, very undignified, flailed. "Ow!"

Thankfully, the bite wasn't poisonous. Not like Jiten's. But hopefully it was enough or a warning to tell him to take this just a little bit more seriously.

She had a point. Really, Draven was just.... shocked by the whole 'being bitten by her tail' thing.
And then he was grimacing, her last hit hurt.
He answered it as best he could, fist aiming for her side. She hadn't quite beaten him...yet.

He wasn't quite out of the fight yet. And...he was starting to get very worried about what she might ask him to do. So...he tried to punch her again.
