[ Patient Type: Bug Wounds ] The hunter flinched even as he put the cleaning alcohol on her wound. Noemi moved to the other side, doing her best not to tear up at the wounds.
She had remembered them being burned out of her. She couldn't imagine them just...escaping from sores.
She pressed the gauze down, holding her breath.

Seen too many. Yes, he'd seen far too many battered and bruised Hunters, cut up and sore and beguiled with any sort of wound her young mind could come up with. Numbing? Certainly so, if one didn't attempt keeping feelings of benevolence and sympathy at the forefront of their minds. He gave Noemi an unconscious squeeze back to her hand, smiling at the girl's compassion. She'd do well in the infirmary. "It's numbing if you allow it to be."

[ Patient Type: Bug Wounds ]Lex had pulled out a pair of tweezers, now removing infected flesh and large chunks of desert shrapnel from the sores, including small pebbles, chipped ivory, and even some infected flesh. It was all quite a nasty business, lots of puss.
"Noemi, grab me a small metal dish." He instructed steadily, eyes narrowing in concentration and mild disgust. They'd apparently laid eggs in the sores.

"How do you stop it from being so?" Noemi wondered if she could do such a thing. How often would she see people in pain that she would just...shut down? It had to be a lot here.

[ Patient Type: Bug Wounds ]She was just finishing the cleaning of the arm, noticing skin flaking with her gauze and really trying hard not to be sick at the idea, that like herself, she'd be pulling skin off this woman.
There was no such luck as Lex found something more then she could see. Pulling stones and pebbles and grains and dead skin. Infected sores.
She did as he asked, grabbing him the large metal pan and setting it next to him.
"Are...Are those..." she stared at the white soft puss balls. Eggs. Eggs. her stomach churned a little.

"Eggs, yes. Being Fear based, they should dissipate due to the Island's atmosphere, however that may cause more pain or worse yet, an infection." Lex explained quickly, tweezing the small white orbs out of the Hunter's flesh. It was quite disgusting, if he were to be honest. However, a good doctor did not show disgruntlement, disgust, or any adverse emotions to the patient.

His fingers drummed on the table, corner of his lip pulled into a slight frown of pondering. What to tell the girl? That he simply ignored the pain and distress? That he treated them as objectives and things to fix, formulas to solve? No, that was inhumane. Not something she needed to hear. "I focus on the brighter things. They get to live another day. They can drink coffee, eat cake, get paid salary and go anywhere in the globe on their leave time. I let hope take the wheel while I work in the infirmary."
