Jason awoke with a arrow between his legs, just missing his crotch. He was not a happy camper. "AHH, THE PURPLE MOOSE ARE ATTACKING!" He swung at the wall, but somehow still hurt the horsewomen. HP: 45 Damage: 5 Charge: 1/3 Boss HP: 55

Chel just sort of laughed at Jason and said, "Not quite, bless your heart." Tenebrae summoned and rearing to go, Chel fired a multitude of shots around Jason. "Heads up!"
Towards the tent she shouted, "We're waitin' sunbeam!"
< As I have been waiting for you for approximate 6.18 hours. >

Up up up upupupupupupupupup NORRIEEEEEEEEEEEE--
Nora jerked awake in time to catch an arrow to the head. Luckily, the shield did a great job of making sure it didn't actually pierce through. Unluckily, it made the drowsy Sun even dizzier.
"The bloody hell!" she could be heard saying as she wrestled to get out of the entanglement that was now her sleeping bag and her limbs.

It seemed Nora was struggling with her sleeping bag (aw, so cute. Chel remembered how one time on her first few missions she'd fallen into a mud pit and spent the whole time there because she couldn't stop thrashing about) and Jason was barely awake.
Which meant Chel had to break out the big guns.
She ran in and shouldered Jason aside, saving him from a nasty hit and then slashed up the Conquest's horsewoman's frontside, all the way across her neck and up her cheek. It was a brutal hit and Chel was quite proud of it. The horseman deserved it for disturbing their sleep. "If you're gonna have a bow," she poised her own below the woman's head, resting it right on her chest. "Learn how ta use it." An arrow was shot upwards, a direct hit to the bottom of her chin. The woman recoiled back and fell onto her bottom, giving Chel a very satisfied feeling.
"All yours guys!"

Really? She wanted to wipe the sandy floor with this little pony, but all she could manage was a glancing blow.
At least she was a little more alert now, enough to note that Jason still sounded half asleep and Chel was carrying them through the fight until they caught up. Nora snuck a yawn in while the mare was sent reeling. "Er, sorry about that . . ."

Being shoved aside didn't help Jason to see any clearer, the room around him doing strange and wonderful things. In his stupor he had managed to drag on his hunter coat, which did much to hide the slowly encroaching vines across his body. "Wow, Chel, thats like, amazing. You took care of the pudding really well~" He could see her stab a big chocolate pudding, and it was making him hungry. HP: 35 Damage: 5 Charge: 3/3 Boss HP: 23

"You're doing great!" she assured Nora with a nod. Nobody was bound to be perfect on the first try, and Chel really hated how many older hunters were such negative nancys. Not Chel- she was a positive peggy!
She nabbed a water bottle from the supply kit (not filled with maggots, thank you) and splashed it across Jason's face. "Look alive!"
For whatever reason, Chel was feeling lively today. She spun around the horseman, really danced with her partner, shooting arrows in tight spaces in the same movements as broad blade strokes.
< You are doing quite excellent today. >
Wow. A real compliment. I'm starstruck Tensy.
Now it was only a matter of time before the others finished this Bruce Lee wannabe off.

Jason felt the cold water hit his face, monetarily looking confused and shaking his head, wiping his face with one hand.
"Thanks Chel." He lashed out at the horsemen with a nice stab. "Although I dunno where you got the custard from...

"Custard? Pudding?" Okay this horseman was stopping them from having a decent breakfast (and it would be decent because she had brought snacks). Nora was not going to have this.
Darting in after her teammates, she swung with the true vengeance of one deemed Thora, and with a screech the horseman was knocked down and stunned. She dropped the head of her hammer into the sand and leaned on it for a moment, wincing at her early morning aches.
"Right then," she said rather casually. "Not the best start to our morning, but I won't be complaining about some extra cash . . . Someone get that one while I go get the food ready."

Chel quickly ran to the table at the campsite while the other two worked together to subdue the creature, and picked up one of the runic netguns.
Nora had said there was a reward? Well Chel was sure as hell going to get that reward and split it with the other two. She needed the money, badly.
She leapt over the table and said, "Comin' through folks!" The netgun was fired with a satisfying hiss of runic steam and clicking. She seriously had no idea how life came up with these crazy devices, but for once in her life she was glad they did all their weird experimentation. The net wrapped around the horseman with the most wonderful ease, not a single glitch in the workings.
The glow string rendered FEAR useless and Chel snapped it with a smile on her face. "Horsemen negative five thousand, Chel, Jason and Nora one!" That was the score, as far as Chel was concerned. "Why don't you two go do some scouting and see if there's anymore. I'll stay here and watch this one." Plus that way she could laze around the camp some more. YAY.

Jason would of celebrated his end to being broke, but he was too preoccupied with watching all the food float about. "W-why do I have to go s-scouting?" He asked Chel, hands shaking as he tried to grab his floating goggles (which ende dup being nothing, as his goggles were under his bed). "W-why do you want me out of the tent? Are you g-guys talking about me?" He looked at them both, backing away from the two girls. He didn't like the way Chel was telling him to do things. A sense of unease was washing over him, and he suddenly ran out of the tent. He couldn't trust them, they were up to something.
The moon trainee kept running, even in the blistering heat of the desert. He could see things were chasing him in the background, strange shapes at the edge of his vision. He shouted in alarm when a strange black dog lept straight at him, and he jumped out of the way. "Stay away from me!"
Where he landed, the sand caved in sending Jason screaming and tumbling until he felt himself engulfed in water. He must have fallen into a oasis of some sort.
He was drenched, but he felt a little better, at least for now.

Sometime in the evening as Nora was chugging water and attempting to salvage dinner, she heard buzzing. Turning her head, she called her to teammates as what looked like a thing, dark blanket of insects headed their way. Gods please, no, the day had been nice and quiet (horseman notwithstanding) and the evening had been starting to ease in.
She was asecond from summoning her weapon when the swarm stopped, the only sound that of their multitude of wings beating. And then just like that they drifted away.
Nora flopped back down over her blanket with a sigh and reminded herself. One more day.

DAY THREE
It was the final day of their exciting adventure. Everyone was pretty tired already from the heat, dehydration and lack of any real substantive food, but Chel was willing to give it her all.
"I'll go scouting today. One of you wanna watch the b***h pony? She hasn't moved since about 6 last night, but her chest's still goin' up and down so I think she's good." Maybe the net had just knocked her out or something. She wouldn't put it past life to put some weird feature in their nets like that.
With that, she nodded to the others and departed. She found an exciting little cave, one that reminded her of a video game- what with all the skeletons around. Sadly, Chel had grown very desensitized to that kind of thing. "Yo, any ponies hidin' in here?" Very subtle.
What she hadn't expected was for the piles of bodies TO be the thing that moved. Crap. Ohhhh crap.

"Nuh uh. Not today, bones," she told them. Immediately she took a shot at the ceiling, collapsing a few stalactites onto the bodies. The cave began to rumble as she collapsed the ceiling, and Chel quickly ran for the cave door.
It was a dive, but she thudded onto the sand just as the cave collapsed completely, saving herself from anything more than a few scratches here and there. She also had sand in her pants, which was not a pleasant feeling.
Returning back to the camp, she was in a significantly worse mood, but overall not doing too badly. "Don't go in that cave. You will die," she told the other two. Not that there was any cave left to go in to.
