Matt raised up to his feet and tilted his head up just in time to watch Bad springboard right off the top rope. He brought himself upward to his full standing height, but it wasn't fast enough to catch Bad Boy like he had planned. The kick connected, dropping The Storm back down to the mat with his head cradled in his arms once more!

Bad braced himself on the landing of the drop kick, and had enough energy to crawl towards Matt and hook the far leg for the pin attempt. Could he have it here!?

Once again the pinfall was interrupted before the two-count could even be secured. The crowd's high energy took a turn downward after their least favorite World Champion in some time proved that he was still in this!

Bad shook his head thinking "Damn this guy's hard to break." as he was partially breathing heavier since the start of his flurry of moves. He would try to get himself to his feet and pull The Storm to his feet as well. It might have been stupid because he had him where he wanted him, but he had other bigger moves in mind. Bad would try to irish whip Matt into the corner.

Matt's offense was non-existent so far in this match, and his defense was even less visible. But when Bad managed to pull The Storm up and tried to whip him into the corner, Shanahan finally showed signs of being involved in this match. He stopped Bad's momentum and attempted to turn it on him, aiming to whip the challenger into the corner instead!

Bad was surprised when he was reversed, The Storm whipped him to the turnbuckle! But despite tiring himself out with the early onslaught, he felt that he needed to find a way to stay on top of the Legacy Champion. So using the momentum of the whip, he tries to step his way up to the top rope, and jump off looking for a Moonsault on the standing Matt Shanahan!

The Storm seemed to just barely be standing after managing to whip Bad into the corner, but his eyes were fully functioning now. He watched as Bad Boy used the momentum in his favor to run up the turnbuckles and leap off. He watched him sail through the air for the Moonsault.
But it was the world that would watch as The Storm turned the tides.
Matt's posture abruptly shifted to his normal stance and his arms reached up to catch Bad Boy right out of the air! If successful, he'd hold the man down towards his chest and run at the turnbuckle, with clear intentions to sandwich him against them, then drop him to the mat!

Bad was caught, the fact that he hit the sturdy shoulder of The Storm and didn't budge was bad, and being drilled into the corner, again the shoulder driving into his ribs with the impact of his back hitting the turnbuckle caused him to lose air. He dropped to his face and his body followed as he clutched at his ribs on the mat, gasping for the air that he needed since the Dropkick.

Matt backed away from Bad Boy after the maneuver, taking the time to face the other way and throw his shoulders back to stretch his arms. Compared to his previous state, he looked like he hadn't suffered a blow. The cold, calculated chill in his eyes had returned, giving the vibe that any sign of the previous beating would not be seen for some time. The fans were already jeering louder than before; their home-state hero was down, and this monster was sure to capitalize on it.
And capitalize he would. As he was moving across the ring, he broke out into a sprint once he was near the center of it. On the rebound, he came hurtling towards Bad Boy, aiming to give him a harsh punt to the head before he could get up!

Bad was pushing his way up, right until he got caught with across the head with the kick, catching him across the forehead and temple. He fell and dropped to his back clutching the left side of his head with both hands trying to clear out the pain from it with his eyes wincing, his vision going blurry.

The Storm's foot connected with authority, which only sent a negative wave through the arena. Matt was feeding off that negativity thoroughly. He grabbed the ropes to stop his path, staring out at the crowd as he did. His eyes said it all: this was the true start of the match.
He whirled around to face Bad, stalking after the smaller man. As he came in close, he attempted to lift his foot and bring it crashing downward onto Boy's skull and press down, aiming to crush the man's head!

Bad was holding his head while The Storm was feeding off the crowd, and thought that he had a chance to get up. He put his arms away from his head at the wrong time, as he felt the foot drive down onto the same side of his head! He yelled out in pain as his feet kicked the mat over and over, his hands trying to push Matt's leg off his head.

The Storm kept his foot on Bad's head long enough to send the message he wanted; he still had control of this match. With Bad's final push, Matt removed his foot and stormed across the ring, giving the challenger the space he needed to return to his feet.

Bad forced his arms forward and moved to the ropes, grabbing them and using them to help himself up. The crowd booing at this current offense dished out by Shanahan. Bad leaned forward on the ropes holding his head before pushing off them, turning around towards the middle of the ring trying to find The Storm.

Once Bad began to stand up, with the assistance of the ropes, The Storm's cruel intentions began to churn. He backed up into the opposing ropes and pushed back against them until Bad was fully on his feet. Then, Matt pushed off and went bounding towards his challenger. As Bad turned around, Shanahan dived at him, attempting to hit him with a flying clothesline that could send both me soaring over the top rope!
