Morning came abruptly, without warning. The light's flickered on, the familiar whir of the machines replacing the loud nothingness that had filled the night.
"Good morning," the grainy voice came over the loudspeaker. "Time to wake up. We have a long day today~"
The first thing you notice is the voice of not one, but many hunters.
"Dude look at the scales.
"Woah she's cute I'd-"
"DUDE."
Ami glared at the life techs and they immediately quieted. "Yes well. I have some special news for you today." The glowing pendants emerged from her pockets. Into them, she spoke a few select, short commands. "Today, you will participate in any interaction commanded of you. I will not order you to be truthful, nor will I order that you interact in any one particular way." This wasn't because Ami believed in any sort of mercy, but moreso that she didn't want to create any unnecessary variables that might ruin the sanctity of the study. "I merely order that you participate fully." She dangled the pendants idly in the air for a moment before returning them to her pocket, almost threatening them to do something. She wasn't afraid to punish those who misbehaved.
With that, she snapped a piece of paper to a clipboard and said, "Oh, and here. For being such excellent participants." A button was pressed and another FEAR candy popped out from the same spot in the wall. With the way she was smiling, it almost felt like an insult.
