Well, they hadn't all quieted down or even started paying attention to her, but some people were, and she would just… start talking. Okay? Yeah. Mistral cleared her throat and said, "I'm Mistral, and I asked… this computer thing I found in my Wonder… for help and it brought me here, so I guess I'm supposed to ask all of you for help?"
She picked up the papers. "I found the schematics for a communication device in my Wonder," she said, unfolding them and holding them up for everyone to see. The vellum was a pale lavender in color, with faded lines in a deep blue--the writing looked to be a strange, looping cursive that might have been Hebrew--and it clearly diagrammed multiple small pieces and one larger one. At Mistral's feet, the large piece gleamed an odd silver-red tone, reflecting the sky. "I have part of it, but the rest of the parts I need to finish it are somewhere in my Wonder."
Mistral lowered the papers and hugged them to her chest. "This update would give us the ability to communicate through voice, in real-time, and… there's a pictorial element too, although I'm not sure how it would work, yet. The problem is… I can't do this on my own. I'm… I have a problem. With my insides. So I can't do this by myself, but… if a few of you could help me… we could find it together, and all of us could have this upgraded."

"Scared does not even begin to cover it you jerk." Alexandria growled quietly as Babylon hugged him. "You're good now right? Good. Don't ******** do it again or I will shove my key so far into your kidneys it will be the least of your issues." Needless to say Alexandria was still cranky over the whole thing. He was about to question just why Babylon's uniform changed when he caught what Mistral had said. A problem with her insides. Gee. Now where had he heard that before.. "....Babylon. That better not mean what I think it means." The page groaned, scrubbing his face again. "No. You know what? Frick it. I'm a Jupiter page now. And if anyone questions my uniform I'll tell em there's a glitch in the matrix. Alexandria promptly curled in on himself arms folded on his knees with his arms buried in them. Silverah Dramatic BMP is dramatic. WHY YOU GOTTA MAKE HIM WORRY SO ; A;

Valhalla laughed softly, not thinking Alexandria had much to worry about in regards to snapping at his brother, but as he opened his mouth to respond, Babylon took a spot on the other side of Alexandria. The strange aura emanating from him was very familiar, and a certain sense of dread seemed to suddenly overwhelm him.
He shifted as if to get comfortable where he sat, although it was really to shake off the worry he felt in regards to what he’d witnessed back in early May with Ganymede and a General Queen he’d never met before. Valhalla shut his mouth and lowered his eyes as the two knights exchanged pleasantries, and then when another Mercury knight joined as well, his hands held tightly between his knees in an attempt to stop himself from fidgeting.
When Alexandria introduced him to Mimisbrunnr, he looked up to offer her a small smile, but let the three carry on, as it was obvious Alexandria had been worried about Babylon. Overhearing what they were talking about wasn’t difficult, and he was unable to hold back a small exhale in slight exasperation at the overdramatic nonchalance of Babylon’s that always irritated him.
At least he was able to cut himself off from muttering in annoyance about how neither Alexandria, nor Mimisbrunnr, were children. He did blink in surprise at Alexandria’s announcement that he was now a Jupiter page, and for a moment he was confused as to why Jupiter of all the possible choices… and then turned away to pay close attention to Mistral… and to hide the small cheeky grin that suddenly appeared.

Niflhel listened though he kept to himself mostly watching as Mistral talked. Looking in interest as she showed the vellum with the information on it, though he wasn't sure he could read the writing.
His chin was rested in one hand, who's elbow was rested in the palm of his other hand. "I'll be glad to help where I can." He chimed but otherwise falling back quite to listen and what, though he wondered if this meant an adventure on another wonder - that would be kind of epic Niflhel wasn't even going to lie.

Megiddo owed Mistral. She owed her a lot. So much that she probably would have marched all the way to the ends of the earth if the page had asked her to. With that in mind, this sounded markedly less difficult. She eyed the ring on her hand, glittering against her stark white gloves. Real-time communication would be far more convenient, and it would save her from ever having to find paper and a pen every time she needed to write a message (or, you know, write in her own blood). Following Nifhel's lead, she called out, "I volunteer, too! I want to help!" She nudged Ys's foot with the toe of her boot. "Say you'll do it," she hissed.

Babylon already knew... about ninety percent of what Mistral had to say, having been privy to earlier conversations on the subject. But he hadn't realized she was going to invite everyone to come have a field trip to Mercury - that was hella new and exciting! He looked eagerly to the pages on either side of him, ready to volunteer them both as tribute. But luckily for Alexandria and Mimisbrunnr both, he heard someone sigh behind him. Babylon would know that specific sigh pretty much anywhere. Or, even if he wouldn't have, he would have said he did for dramatic effect. He turned in his seat to give the knight behind him a quick wave. "Hey, Val, didn't see you there." He actually, honestly hadn't. "Ready to go all Indiana Jones under the surface of Mercury?" he asked. Anyway, Alexandria needed his attention again. Babylon turned back around, throwing an arm over the page's shoulder. "I'm fine now," he assured him. "Better than new." Still figuring everything about this new gig out, but hey. Alexandria didn't need to know that he didn't even know what kind of new powers he had besides just that he had them. "What? What's that?" he asked, and then he realized. "Oh. No. Uh, Mistral's stuff is a totally non-magical medical issue and that's all I'm at liberty to say about it. Get to know her and maybe she'll tell you. Please don't leave me for Valhalla. We'll have fun. I promise. I'll prove it to you." (His idea of fun might have been underage drinking and Cards Against Humanity within the confines of Florence Court.) He extended his other arm around Mimisbrunnr's shoulders, pulling both pages in a bit closer. "So, are you two in? Gonna help Mistral build all the things? We Mercury Knights have got to stick together in the name of scientific inquiry, you know."

Watching Megiddo stiffen at his call was satisfying and the Saturn page grinned as he started towards her at a cocky saunter... at least until she shushed him and waved him over. Steps lengthening with purpose, Ys joined the singular person he knew here and sort of flopped into the seat next to her, all long knees, pointy elbows and ringing bells.
"Hey Beautiful. How's tricks?" He joked, before she hissed at him. He put up his hands as though fending her off, glancing around as though taking in where they were for the first time. Oh, right... there was a slip of a girl up at the front trying to get everyone's attention and then launching into something about a communication device. That caught the performer's attention and he settled a little as he listened.
Real-time communication... sounded better than the paper-and-pen method the rings used. Could be a really useful... whatever she was talking about. When Meg nudged him he grimaced like she'd punched him, and mouthed and OW at her before he broke into a grin and lazily lifted his arm.
"If Megiddo says I should, then I guess I'm in." Ys laughed.

Buyan looked a little confused. . . ? There were rings that sent messages? Wellll that explained how she got those papers that just appeared in front of her. "Uhhh.... Ma'am Do I have to have my ring to help?" She asked looking a little sheepish and puzzled at the same time.
"Because. . . . I'd love to uh help but I'm a little short of this ring thing." Man maybe instead of focusing on her book as much she could turn some of that attention into actually being a Knight. Buyan frowned slightly as she pondered over this problem.romeo wilco Buyan's asking questions~

Finally, it seemed the Mercury page had found her courage to speak, and with it, Sarras' interests piqued, even when it was no divided. A familiar face among the crowd had caught his crimson gaze, and he flashed his fellow Page a friendly smile. It wasn't too deep or affectionate, considering their shared Princess they served, but it would have been extremely rude not to offer her something. Though, there was something different about her that he couldn't quite pinpoint, and it was driving his borderline OCDness insane. 'New haircut?'
Mistral's speech warranted his full attention once more, and he looked towards the Mercury page as she announced the new gadget that they had found. That was certainly an interesting tidbit, and he looked towards Buyan as she brought up a point that was relevant to him as well.
He glanced to his hands and noted that they, too, were missing something rather vital, and without wanting to admit it himself, he merely crossed his arms, hiding the bare hands beneath his arms and chest and waiting for Mistral's answer.Shazari He's playing Mr. Shyguy, don't mind him.

"Mine didn't come with my uniform either," Hvergelmir piped up in Buyan's direction. "I found it at my Wonder, but it's definitely different from anything else I've seen. It's the only thing that stays both when I'm powered up and when I'm powered down -- my plain clothes and my uniform both switch out. If you can find one of your own, it's good to have." To Mistral, she said, "I've got lots of free time. I can probably help out, if you tell me what I'm looking for." Unlike some of the others of their number, Laney was decidedly unemployed. It made for a lot more hours in the day -- and since she couldn't really contribute to the advancement of Order's cause through fighting, Hvergelmir was eager to make herself useful however else she could.

"It's where mine turned up too." Kairatos called out. "Worth lookin' around if you haven't got yours yet. And I might be able to help out..."
He wasn't sure what 'problems with her insides' were that kept her from doing it herself, but he'd rather do this for another knight than space paper, and being out here... it wasn't like the idea about 'lets get everyone together to train and see how fast we get arrested or attacked for out starseeds' bit that had come up last time.

There wasn't complete silence when the Page started speaking, but it was quiet enough that Falias was able to hear her, mentally filing away the name she introduced herself her by - Mistral.
He hadn't initially noticed the papers when he had first glanced that way, but his attention was drawn as Mistral picked them up, his green eyes looking at them in interest.
There seemed to be some sort of blue cursive on the lavender paper and Falias found himself leaning forward to try and get a better look at it as he listened to Mistral speak.
"If you still need helpers, then I'd be happy to give you a hand if I can" Falias said to Mistral, waiting until the chatter about knight rings that sprung up in answer to a blonde Page's (Buyan) query had quietened down before speaking up, wondering as he did what Mistral meant by 'problems with her insides'.

Babylon may now be in the clear, but that didn't mean Alexandria couldn't have his little grump session. He sulked further in his seat when Babylon threw his arm around his shoulder. "I don't know, Valhalla hasn't gone and almost died on me by ******** with his starseed." Maybe it was better he didn't know what was up with Mistral. He'd probably just end up agonizing over it all night like he had with Babylon. "The only thing I should build is a cage. For you." That being said, Alexandria could build circles around people if given half the chance. "And did you really just call me a child? Dude, you know how old I am." He whined. Alex then propped a single elbow on his knee and dropped his chin in it, turning away from Babylon and grinning at Valhalla. Okay, so maybe he was having a bit too much fun being an a** about all this. Guine If only Alex knew about that one time with that carnival... and of Gany's extreme love for Beni. Am I right? 8D

Mimisbrunnr was a little surprised to see Alexandria so angry with Babylon - but then, she had missed most of the fun that was the Knight's recent diddling with weird unknown magic. "I'm gonna have to ask you what he's talking about later," she said, fiddling with her fingers a little in her lap.
Mistral's request sounded fascinating. And so, as soon as the Page asked, she bounced up off her seat. "I volunteer!" She declared, perhaps a bit too loudly. "Uhm." And then she plopped back down, cheeks burning, glad for her dark skin and that this uniform nearly entirely covered her face.
"Uhm. Yeah. Totally ready to help build all the things," she said, staring down at her hand which was, right then, bare of any ring-like accoutrements. "It'll be nice to see Mercury. I haven't been, yet." She was a little nervous about explaining "Going to space, be back in a bit" to Ganyel, who she had so far happily looped in to this little magical adventure.
"So hi it's really nice to meet you, Valhalla," she babbled, leaning around Babylon to offer a hand to the other Knight - of Jupiter, apparently. She filed that information away.

Well that didn't take long. The Page gave a cheeky--if a bit sheepish--grin to Andronicus when the other girl let out the rather loud response to her injuries. With Themiscyra's uniform on, the purple-haired girl wasn't even seeing all of them. "Captain, not a General," she corrected easily, smile still firmly in place, "but we'll see if that changes by next week." It was a tease--she'd sent a quick wink to Andronicus to try and prove this. But with her tendency to go towards combat? Who knew.
Kairatos got a flat-out snort when he joked about more Martians. "Not yet. I think we need to start finding ways of converting other knights over to Mars." Maybe the Code could offer some advice, she even mused, before flicking back to the subject somewhat at hand. "Nah, my stories are... well, I'll just have to share later. Not even too sure what they're about, myself."
She'd brushed both off with the lame line, when the Page at the center of the gathering began to speak. Now clearly wasn't the time to be chattering about weird stuff she'd encountered. Instead, she listened in carefully, curious what this whole gathering was even about. Communication device? As in, more than their rings? On Mercury? She couldn't exactly sit out on that one. "I'll help, too," she called out to Mistral, before pausing and adding, "But how soon is this gonna be? Do we have time to grab warmer clothes before heading there?" She shot a look towards Kairatos' exposed skin, then her own, before glancing at the various Mercury knights around and wincing. "Least you guys can strip when you come here when the sun's out."
Though they'd likely be pretty at home when the sun went down.
As she'd glanced around though, one particular figure stood out to her. One that make her give a little shriek she had to physically muffle with her hands, before zipping for the spare paper and pen she always made sure to shove between her calf and back of her sandal when she could. Using the seat behind her as a make-shift desk, she scribbled out a quick message, declared the recipient... and punched her ring into the paper before spinning back around in her seat.
And waited.
VALHALLA YOU JACKASS IF YOU LEAVE HERE WITHOUT GIVING ME A HUG, I AM TAKING YOUR WIFE HOSTAGE. I have more than enough projects that could use a model and a city on another planet don't test me.
Her expectations for some sort of meeting weren't unjustified to her. It'd been a while since she'd seen Chris, what with him out of the city and all for the time being. Somehow, she couldn't help but believe Paris would go along with her scheme if she really went to her about it all.
