Cee did spend the money. She got both girls some shampoo, some
real brand soap. She bought cookies and chips and that International House brand instant coffee that was sweet and yummy when only mixed with water.
She bought
soda for them, not Deus.
When she was done she had 2 extra bags and hadn't spent as much as it seemed like she should have. Worst case scenario? They'd probably dock her check. Best case? Nothing at all would happen.
"Let's git the ******** outta here..."
And she
did give that hobo back his quarter.
