Faced with another decision, with a pounding in his ears not unlike panic and the memories of a future he didn't really want rattling around in his head, Ever froze at the top of the stairs. Breathless and uncertain, he considered the monsters that surrounded them -- Titans, he thought, or demons, and old instincts made him hate all three of them. Even Charon who, it seemed, promised some kind of unity, the peaceful obliteration of everything that Deus tried to fight, became a tempting target through the rapidly-increasing tunnel of his vision -- But Medea. She was the one who wanted to destroy them most, and she was the one who finally made him stop whirling and settle into a focus, even if it was a dream like focus. His body not entirely in his control, or perhaps his common sense just gone out the window, he rushed forward to swipe at her with his gold-edged blade, the smile flashing across his face like lightning before it vanished again. Bright orange on the edge of her vision and then, lightning yellow streaking across. Jasper always seemed to be there when she least expected him to appear and, considering how her mind now saw him, it wasn't a bad thing. Lightning struck when you least expected it to in the most random of places and it fit him. The shadow that chased the lightning, however, was unexpected. "Please stay near me for awhile. My shield against damage is not as strong as it was." Her voice was hollow, rather similar to that of Mimsy's, subdued. Not at all like the Cami anyone would have known or loved. Isolated. Up and up. Always up. It was where they had to go. So she went. No sooner had she reached the top than visions swarmed in her head. Horsemen, and a future she did not want. And then it was gone, and she could see figures and runes and battles. Sherry wasted no time focusing on the figure that sounded like Medea, the figure of red. Something about the color tickled the back of Sherry's mind, and she remembered a time when she had been offered power by a red shard. But she also remembered her death, and being reborn as an Ancient. And the things that she believed in that world she believed here. She would fight, she would protect and save. She would hope, because the future her enemy wanted was not a future Sherry wanted. He attack was quick, but she could not do much for the whirling mass of red and black kept her at bay. She didn't like it. Too much, too big, hard to fight. Somehow it hurt just being this close. Sherry winced and stepped back. A smile touched Cami's lips but it was short-lived. As the arrow again flung from her bow something sharp and painful struck her in the temples, driving the Ancient to her knees with a cry. "Kidana? What happened?" Nothing. Silence. It wasn't too terribly different from the silence of the glass sphere she had been reborn inside and it was that horror reflected in her eyes now. "Kidana?!" KI!" Once upon a time a hunter had told her there would be a consequence to having her weapon altered. If something went wrong, if the side-effects were triggered, things could go very badly very quickly. The power that had been charging up inside of Camille was bottomed out, seemed further away than it had ever been, and she didn't know how to reach it. Isolated even from her power, Cami sank to her knees and huddled uselessly. In all his fights on the island, he had never done close to this well -- but, in contrast, he also hadn't felt his strength fading away nearly so fast, either. As hard as he hit, Ever could feel the energy sapped out of him by the monster above, and before he swung again, he had to pause and take a deep breath, soothing, to calm his mind. Forget the possible future, what he'd been shown. Even that was a dream in comparison to what Medea wanted, to drive human like cattle and take them over. So he dove in again, Amory flashing. Dakota grinned as Poke joined them, sending the dragon girl a wink in all his glory. "Hey there gorgeous."
Dakota gaze turned to his King, "You're not usually one to throw yourself in a battle. That's what we're here for Commander." He grinned up at Wilson, reaching up to tug a piece of the King's hair before moving back into the battle. His mannerisms from the white kingdom came back strong, and even as Blue joined them, he regarded them all with a same amount of flirtatiousness.

"What the..." the real Shun muttered as he saw not only more hunters flooding the area but a number of them.. well. Their appearances were rather familiar. He saw Poke's appearance shift and that's when it hit him. The seven kingdoms. He wasn't certain if Xiu was around. But then again, he wasn't sure if he'd rather have the shade be fighting or his red kingdom alter ego. Also at some point a beetle landed on the insanity shade. Nothing really happened there, however. The shadow of Shun swatted at it. "Ignore the beetle," Shun urged from his side of the mirror. This was incredibly frustrating. The shade went on and lashed out at Medea's form once more, though the reaper couldn't be certain if it was because it listened to him or if it just felt like attacking her again. Maybe there was a way to break the mirror. Though, that risked potentially being stuck like this. Harrison gave Jordan and Rep fond looks- he hadn't seen them properly in...when was the last time? A year, maybe. He just wished it wasn't in the middle of a ********. What he'd give to be back home again.
He snickered, then bust out laughing at Wilson's quick finish comment.
He wiped tears from his eyes, then waved the sword vaguely in the direction of Medea. "Okay. Found her. Right? I mean, she's got all this evil mojo miasma s**t around her. Practically rolling around it. Weren't there supposed to be more horse guys here? I mean. I see a cat. A pirate. Us..."

Caelius had indeed already intercepted Medea, and the two fought carefully, as if predicting moves from a step ahead. There were the fallen in the wake of their destruction, the legacy of those that were greater. Both of them were unaffected by the tower.
As the two trainees got a little too close, the Death lead swung at Noemi and Ever, his weapon taking their Fear shields for its own. They were not allies, just resources. In that moment, Medea disappeared, reappearing behind Cami, one charred, clawed hand tearing into his back. She laughed, spraying, crimson everywhere, eyes wide, glassy, entirely reveling in the bloodlust. "I thought we had a truce, Caelius," she mocked, grabbing Sherry next, flinging her like a rag doll towards Jasper. "I thought you wanted power."
"You wanted power." Caelius emphasized, and the two moved again, a blur of colour, strange and surreal to behold as they ripped through space like solid matter creating unyielding fields of distortion and destabilized everything around them. Even gravity itself was slowly losing its hold as everyone around their vicinity began to slowly climb upwards, the very castle deconstructing where they stepped, "I wanted only one specific thing and I already have it."
The head priestess's expression turned ugly, angry, spiteful. "Humans are all the same full of emptiness. All of you could have had more but it is your weakness, your flesh that stops and binds you until you cease existing. How does it feel to be only a fragment of an existence and fight against us who have lived for so long? This battle, all of this, will be forgotten the second you die. If you give up now, in five years, ten, a hundred years, the outcome will be the same. Only we are eternal."
Everything continued destabilizing. Instead of a tower, those around her fell, fell through colours, through ice, through water, through sudden flames and sahara sands and then back into tower grounds. Everything was pure chaos.
