It was not often Jackie was able to get free time from her hectic schedule, but when she did, she made great use of it. Occasionally getting lost was one of her many effective ways to extend her free time, such was today. Porta Denia had not been her destination but it certainly was a rare treat to stumble upon it. Anyhow, who was she to say that it hadn't been her destination, after all Great Gaia always did have unique way of doings things. With that in mind, she determine that her visit to Porta Denia was not to be wasted. With a few words with the locals she found herself entering The Red Lion Tavern. It was certainly lively more lively than what she had been used to for the past month. Lingering at the entrance her eyes searched for the best place to sit. As she searched, she could not help but grin at the idea of tasting some of the local food and have a few drinks. She really was overdue for something other than the stale food she had ended up with, after a fail experiment she had done. She certainly had learned something after that.

Aylin caught her breath and thought for a moment. Should she tell the unknown elf about Li Fong or should she let him experience the almost nightly ritual that was Fong's Noodle Palace and Diner. Li had quite the temper on him when it came to dealing with his slightly slow to react nephew Chon. The yelling and fighting along with Li's daughter Lin going from table to table to apologize had become the draw for the proprietor of Far Eastern fusion and traditional greasy spoon diner foods.
"Well there is Mr. Fong," Aylin began.
"Ah Fong, that whacked out guy at the town meeting," Billy chimed in with a chuckle as he cleaned some barware.
"If you happen to go below the island to the Noodle Palace and Diner just be prepared for a very colorful time," Aylin finished not wanting to scare the elf from actually experiencing Fong's Noodle Palace and Dinner for himself.

Shaina replied to Aylin's comment "I'm sorry Aylin for breaking the conversation. I saw this elf, that's why."
"And to you, Mr. Elf, I'm sorry about that. Who are you anyway?"

Aylin's focus from the conversation she was having with the elf was suddenly diverted when the younger Shaina gained her attention. Aylin had to remind herself that most humans weren't used to seeing grayer skinned elves. They were more accustomed to high elves of alabaster or tanned skin tones and the more diminutive Xmas elves of S Corp. She needed to remind the younger woman that this particular elf was not looking for any trouble. The Red Lion had ceased being the Mafia hangout known as the Hammer and Sickle decades ago.
Looking over at the elf Aylin noticed a very small detail that most would overlook with a quick cursory glance at him. Upon his chest was a pin. It was not just any ordinary pin, however. The pin marked him as one of Gaia's chosen children. It marked him as one of their own. Aylin hoped the elf had gained the pin the same way the members of the Gaia Casimir Alliance received theirs, through the divine magic of the goddess Gaia. Those who were chosen found a small wooden box containing the pin in their homes with a simple message attached.
"I don't think he's all that bad to be honest. He wouldn't be wearing the mark of Gaia if he was. So don't take his appearance to mean anything. It's just something to get used to," Aylin responded softly to the younger woman.

☠ ☠ "Ring a bell so the serpent hears us, let her know that we're tried and true. ." ☠ ☠ Two people were asking the Dark Elf for his name. Coming into town he didn't see wanted flyers up of him- Then again Port Denia was a little out of some jurisdictions. Still, He wanted to be safe so he replied to the two girls, "Call me Sinister." He wasn't about to reveal his real name. "And what're your names?"
And now the Pixie was speaking again, as was what looked to be her friend. They made mention of a Mr. Fong, and the guy didn't sound too pleasant. If the food was great, he'd give it a shot but if his unpleasant demeanor out shined the food, forget it. Sinister just nodded at The Pixie to show he was listening. ☠ ☠ ". .No the beasts, they won't get near us- And we're not scared of You." ☠ ☠

*Since she'd already given Sinister her name, Hydro continued with paying for her meal and laid down some extra coins* "The next round is on me", *She said brightly, thinking a drink would be nice after she finished her meal, not entirely certain what this sandwich and soup were, but they looked delicious. Yin looked fascinated at the foreign foods.*

☠ ☠ "Ring a bell so the serpent hears us, let her know that we're tried and true. ." ☠ ☠ Sinister, for the first time since entering the establishment, smiled at Hydro's gesture. He took one last puff of his clove cigarette and then put it out in the ash tray. Sinister was thinking if he should eat or not. Come to think of it he hadn't eaten since breakfast; He had been very busy with various deals, and eating was the last thing on his mind. He poured himself another glass of Whiskey and then took a drink. Since he hadn't eaten there before, he wasn't sure about what was good and what wasn't. Moments like this he wished that there was a LeRoy's Burgers nearby- That man may have been abrasive, but he makes the best burgers in all of Durem. And now Sinister's stomach was growling. He looked around for a menu, and when he found it he decided to see what was good. ☠ ☠ ". .No the beasts, they won't get near us- And we're not scared of You." ☠ ☠

Shaina received her water and vodka. After taking a sip of her vodka, she said "Sinister.. nice name! I'm Shaina, by the way"

*Hydro spotted the new entrant and made a quick, deliberate glance at her for brief but hopefully assuring eye-contact. Then she turned back to her meal, having quite a bit of the soup but leaving a small serving in the bowl. Yin, over-ceasing an invitation to eat, jumped into the bowl to partake. Unfazed, she began to eat the hot sandwich. After a bite she wondered aloud, "It's getting warm quicker this year as summer approaches. The moon peculiarity might have contributed to some off-season waves, I wonder?"

(You guys can react to what I'm going to post anyway you want)
Aylin turned back to her paperwork putting it into the plastic accordion file folder she brought with her. It seemed kind of silly to focus on the Alliance's finances with all the people arriving into the tavern. Plus, it was only a matter of moments before things around the tavern became very crazy. Aylin knew from experience that it was best to brace one's self ahead of the incoming human storm of loud raucous drunken revelry.
That was when she heard it, the voice that always preceded a night full of group pressure, drunken bets, and drinking games where someone or something was going to be hit on and possibly even proposed to. "Um, I uh, I uh, I uh um, I'd like a uh glass of uh white wine please," the meek overly nervous sounding young man ordered.
Looking up across the bar Aylin locked eyes on the thick glasses of the young man two feet taller than her, sighed heavily, and shook her head. The moment six foot six slightly muscular florist saw Aylin was looking at him he instantly blushed a bright red color making the freckles on his face stand out and tried to hide from her view. The neat and tidy appearance of his long brown hair and the fact his reading glasses were still on his face was a sure sign the young man had yet to start drinking for the day. Silently, Aylin wished the simple glass of white wine would be the only thing he drank that night but she knew it wasn't going to be the case. One drink would turn into twenty and someone was likely to become the latest in a long line of individuals and things he targeted with his drunken confidence.
"Here you go Denwale, one glass of our best mid priced white whine," Frank announced to the young florist as he placed the delicate glass of golden liquid upon a thick paper coaster, "Just promise me you'll pace yourself tonight."

"Oh my..." *Hydro looked at the tall, yet meek gentlemen who had ordered the wine. This was the person Miss Alyin talked about? Well things seemed quiet for now, and there was no much to really watch or see, Hydro thought (probably naivety) so. Persons around her were either taking to a meal or drink, so one to never let her hands be too idle, pulled out her flute and softly played a tune*

Shaina looked at the other people in the bar. They were all enjoying their drinks and friends. She wished she could stay longer, but she had to attend an appointment later in Durem. She just went into the tavern to give those papers to Aylin.
She looked at her watch. It's ten in the evening. Her appointment will be at midnight.
"I'm sorry guys! I have to go to an appointment in Durem. It's a bit far from here. Aylin, thanks for the company. `Hydro, Yin, and Sinister, it's good to meet you guys. I really have to go. Goodbye!"
She stood up from her seat, and finished her drinks.
(But really, I'll cut this short. )

(I'm going to play with Denwale for little bit here so do with it what you want)
Denwale looked at the glass of white wine on the bar before him. After a long day of putting together floral arrangements a nice glass of wine helped to relax him. It was a pleasure he enjoyed as a member of the local wine tasting club. Denwale had thought about going to Fong's Noodle Palace and Diner for supper but the idea of seeing Lin Fong had the florist completely flustered. He couldn't bring himself to be in the same room with the only woman on Porta Denia to ever kiss him. Sure it was only a kiss on the cheek after he gave her a flower on the playground in Kindergarten but ever since that day he was infatuated with her and she hated how he was when he was drunk.
Denwale let out a small sigh and took a sip of his Moscato. It was a blend that was aged in a metal cask instead of an oak barrel leaving the slightly sweet wine with a smooth finish to its taste. Normally Denwale had no problem speaking to Frank but he didn't think he would run into the woman who was single handedly responsible for uniting airship captains and casimir growers and becoming their chief lobbyist by reopening the once tiny casimir tree growers club. He wasn't prepared to see her because it wasn't Sunday and it wasn't time for his flower arranging club that she was a member of. There was no way he could socialize with her in the room, especially with the friendly smile she was now giving him.
Without realizing it Denwale had gone through half of the glass of wine. While most men his size had no problem with a single glass of alcohol Denwale was a different story. Slowly and methodically his hand reached up to his face and pulled his glasses off of it revealing the most striking green eyes anyone had ever seen. The moment the case housing the thick reading glasses snapped shut Denwale grabbed the glass of wine and downed the remaining half in one single gulp. Placing the glass down on the bar the normally meek florist sat straight up, looked directly at Aylin, flashed her a quick smile, and in a boisterous confident sure tone of voice placed his next order.
"Frank, give me a beer with a whiskey chaser and a big old sausage platter because Mr. Partytime is on the prowl and I'm gonna need all the energy I can get," Denwale announced to the entire tavern.

*Hydro felt that a nice draft was in order. She set down her flute and left Yin sitting on the empty soup bowl. She hummed softly and saw the barkeep move the different direction she'd been heading. She turned her heel and with the grace that comes from one more used to navigating in books than on her feet, lost her balance. She did so splendidly, with complete lack of grace, in a twist that involved with collision with two people and apparently a drink as now she was soaked in some form of liquid.
Yin fell asleep happily in the bowl, unaware.*
