So admittedly this wasn't what Lily was expecting when she came to this training session. She didn't really like the idea of being hit with an attack even if it couldn't cause damage. Still it was Europa and how long had she know the girl. For a good long while, she trusted her well enough, and that she hoped was a thought that would help with this.
She looked to her brother who stood with Orah looking a little alarmed. She watched as he rose from his seat, but she turned and stepped up for her turn. She grinned and waved at her friend, "let's do this," she said trying to sound excited even if she was nervous. She knew it couldn't be fun for Europa to have to this to people.
When the attack hit her, she tried to focus on her breathing and repeating what she knew, like where she was, who was with her, around her and that this was a senshi attack. That Europa was standing in front of her and she was fine. She came out of it well enough, not at all freaked, managing to keep her calm. She smiled a Europa, giving the girl the thumbs up before moving out of the way so her partner could go.
She gave her partner what she hoped was a reassuring thumbs up and hoped she did okay.
Arian was as polite as Hafwen remembered him to be back from making his acquaintance for the very first time at The Ark's charity bake sale. "I'm good. Apart of the ups and downs that come with being in this powered business if you know what I mean..." She didn't really have any issues with letting the older youth know who she was when powered up. Especially not when he was the one to broach the topic first. She had, in fact, been about to share with him exactly that when Kaatje began to address them on the first task that awaited them. Guess what she wanted to say to her partner for this session would have to come later then.
She got into the line that had already formed in front of the Eternal Senshi of the Deep, not exactly wanting to be the first nor the last to be subjected to whatever she had to face as a result of the Senshi's power. She took a deep breath when it came to her turn eventually, digging her fingers into her palms as she told herself over and over in her mind that whatever she was seeing was a figment of her imagination and not real as a result of this particular test of her mettle.
She was all smiles by the time the effects of Europa's power had worn off, pleased with the knowledge that she hadn't fared too badly in this unlike some of the other participants before her. Taking her seat back next to Arian, she glanced over at her partner with a concerned expression since he didn't seem to have taken all of that very well really. "You alright? Arian?

Jeanne gave Marlin a short nod, though she certainly wasn't smiling. "Jeanne. Penthesilea, Senshi'a War." She was less careful, her voice less lowered. Some fo the people here already knew her identity, she was sure. "Good t'meetcha, Marlin." Her heavy New Orleans accent was obvious, even in a few words.
She felt rather well-prepared for the next part of their assignment. Fear wasn't really a thing with her. So when it was her turn, she took a breath, and let the fear wash over her. It was all in her head and she knew it, and so even with dread crushing down on her and monsters at the edge of her vision, Jeanne kept her head.

Tali may have jumped and squeaked a little when the other girl approached her, but she gave Anabel a brief smile. "Hi!" She said, and then she exhaled. "I'm Tali. Uhm, Mimisbrunnr Page of Mercury." She still wasn't used to that.
Then it was announced that it was time to go meet their partners, and she went to find Daran, repeating the introduction with a faint smile. "Hi, I'm Tali. Mimisbrunnr of Mercury." At least she was meeting people, right?

The next part - that wasn't fun. Somehow, Tali knew she wasn't gonna do well with a fear-based attack, and she was right. She very definitely screamed and almost reached for her vial, as if becoming Mimisbrunnr in the middle of the room would somehow make this better, even if it...really actually wouldn't.
At least she hadn't collapsed into a sobbing heap or anything. That was something, right?

The world was shaking, dimming, falling away at the edges. Where the classroom had been, monsters were encroaching -- horrible things, and it felt like she was drowning, drowning into another world, like a nightmare she'd had recently and had all but forgotten. The world was fraying at the edges, peeling away into things you imagined in your childhood, lurking in deep shadows and under the bed. Darkness was stretching in over her, and Laney very nearly gave way to it, letting terror swamp her --
-- except that this wasn't a dream or a battlefield. She was surrounded by only friends here, she remembered. She could hear Carmine's voice in her head, reminding her of things they'd been over a thousand times. Try to remember that irrational fears are just that: irrational. Ask yourself what negative consequences you're afraid of happening, and think about what you would do if they did. Look at the people around you, and ask yourself: are they rooting for you to fail, or rooting for you to succeed?
This isn't real, she told herself. No one around me is wishing me ill. They want me to do well. These people are nice, and my teammate's counting on me. This isn't real. Nothing bad is going to happen.
She waited, and the horrors creeping up on her mind receded once more. She'd done it. She'd reasoned her way through an irrational fear.
With a smile, Luca switched seats to meet her new partner (Hannah). Though cheer rang a bit false on her tongue these days, she still tried her best to maintain a friendly countenance. "Hi! My name's Luca. I'm also known as Megrez, Senshi of Eggs." She extended her hand for a customary handshake. "And you are?" She really did like the whole "meeting new people" part of the Order Boot Camps; it was a great way to see what other senshi were out there. The fact that she was getting taught skills she would definitely need was a bonus.

Luca had been in scary situations before. So when Kaatje explained that Tallulah (or rather, Europa) was going to do to them, she was fine with it. She figured she could handle it. Bring it on, she thought, totally ready to take on whatever came.
Unfortunately, Luca was sorely, sorely unprepared for what was going to hit her. The feelings of anxiety and fear hit her like a mack truck, and when the sea creatures started flickering at the edge of her vision, she pretty much lost it. She yelped quite loudly, covering her mouth to stifle it. She began to shake, and uncovered her mouth to babble. "I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't expect it! I didn't know what would be coming! I'll do better next time! Oh no, oh no, oh no... HELP!"
She wasn't sure if she was more sorry about freaking out so openly or about freaking out in the first place.

Darren hadn't really been expecting to get hit by a powered attack attending this thing, if he had, he might have been a bit more prepared. But he wasn't. At all.
The sudden change around him, while normally not making him skittish, threw him for a completely loop. He felt the terror start to well up in his chest, he bit back a whimper, but soon it reached a high pitched whine as the images of all numbers of nasty, twisted sea beasts swarmed the fringes of his vision.
He completely broke down, dropping to his knees to gibber slightly as he tried to cover his face and hide from the horrors that he was bearing witness to. If this was what terror felt like than Darren had never really been scared before in his life because this was beyond horrifying.
Raleigh was nervous. But being a Senshi was a huge responsibility and she wanted to be the very best Senshi in the whole wide world, so learning how to take care of people during and after a big fight seemed like an important step towards that goal. When Kaatje, who she figured was Sailor Gunn heading this operation, split them up into pairs, Raleigh was beaming with excitement.

"Sooooo nice to meet you, Liliana!" Raleigh was practically exploding with excitement. This was the bestttttt~ "I'm Raleigh Jackson, Sailor Skadi of Frostbite! I was totally just awakened like a week ago, so I'm really new to this whole thing so it's super duper exciting and a little overwhelming but that's okay because this group seems so cool and friendly and I can't wait to meet everyone and learn things!"
Her attention was quickly brought back to Kaatje when she mentioned Harry Potter and being Gryffindors and Dementors and suddenly this day just got so. much. cooler. She hopped into the lineup to apparently be scared and she bounced on the balls of her feet while she waited her turn, her eyes widening in awe as Tallulah powered up into an Eternal Senshi.
When it was finally her turn and she was hit with Europa's attack, Raleigh immediately began to shriek and tears were instantly staining her cheeks with runny mascara. She clamped her eyes shut and practically crumpled to the ground in complete and utter horror.
Apparently this whole Senshi thing was going to be a lot harder than she expected.

Anabel watched the group undergo the whole… spell thing. A lot of them freaked out, but a lot of them also… didn't. So she was pleased, at that. And a little embarrassed to be forced to sit out, but what could you do, other than plot your revenge on Kaatje van der Weydin. She'd get her someday.
The whole thing was a little sadistic, Anabel thought. She joined the group of organizers to watch, and--"Hey," she said to Tali, "you know, it's okay." She patted the chair next to her, hoping the other Mercury page and her partner would join her. Except, uh, there was also a teenage girl screaming and mascara was running and it was a bit of a massacre over there, so Anabel got up and rummaged around in her bag for eye makeup wipes. "Hey," she started again, lamely, offering the little packet. "You're okay. Half the Negaversers don't even have powers. I mean, most of them. But you're safe. That's what I'm saying here."
She gestured over to her chair. "Want to come sit with me? Your teammate can come, too."

Chivvying the last of the participants aside, Kaatje surveyed her troops. "Good job," she pronounced, "none of you fainted. That's a good thing. I am very proud of all of you for not pulling a Dean Thomas and passing the ******** out." Was that enough Harry Potter references for her to be 'cool'? She hoped to God that was, all the pop culture was giving her a headache.
She organized the desks enough to leave a great open space in the center of the room, and then returned to her spot behind the one desk that hadn't moved. "Now we're going to figure out splinting. I say 'figure out' because I have seen people tangle themselves up in the bandages, and while hilarious, that is not the function of splinting. This is rough-and-dirty s**t, not 'you just got out of a car accident and have time to spare': speed is just as important as efficiency in this particular instance."
Calling Anabel over, Kaatje demonstrated how to do a quick wrist splint, how to fashion a sling, and a tourniquet--though she emphasized they weren't actually tying anything tight enough to stop blood flow, because that also would kill people's limbs, and no one needed that. She wrote the formula for identifying when a tourniquet had been applied on the board, and then carefully wrote it in paint on Anabel's forehead. "Now come on up and grab some supplies," she said, pointing at the table. "Take your time, but not, like, too much time. Like I said. Speed."
(Anabel skulked off, scrubbing at the paint on her forehead with a wet wipe. At least it came off clean.)
