Cliff of course. His work was the best. I too have the Cliff 'Em all movie on tape. I love watching him play.

Defiantly Cliff Burton so sad that he got killed in bus crash all over mtv news but 2nd would be Dave mustaine if your forgeting the davey mustaine days where he screwed up going in competition with james witch somehow became lars fault

jason did do some wild bass solos but i will always remember cliff for what he did in metallica.his musical contribution, he taught james many things about music theory and was like a leader of the band. he will be missed

Cliff... Was truly a lead guitarist trapped in a bassists body... LOL. He was the best, and my favorite. Definately the best bassist of all time, and I beleive that he should be above Les Claypool and Flea on the list. But... I know this is going to sound bad... No matter how I word it. But I'm glad Cliff's time came when it did. When its your time to go, man... You don't really have much of a choice. Without Cliff's death, Metallica never would have grown past the band that it was. We wouldn't have as many different songs as we have now from Metallica. And I don't know about you guys... But I can't live without Justice or the black album... Hell.... I couldn't live without Reload or St. Anger. Sorry if I've offended anyone.

I miss my Cliff. Wish he was still hear crying . Jason sux balls, and Rob is like 5 LVL's below Cliff. Cliff & Rob are hot sexy men. I dont care that there old enugh to be my dad.... but I'd do them, and the others. lol

Cliff. If I ever was to forsake chrisrtanity, I would whorship cliff. biggrin but seriously. He was the best! and I disagree about him dying when he did. I wish He had made it to justice so we could here the damn Bass.

bob rock just helped a bit on st. anger when they had no bassist, until rob came
he is awsum, cuz he fits right in w/ the band
idk about jason, cuz he left the band for himself and his band
he said he didnt want to have a family issue w/ the band, cuz everyone else had their family (p.s. there was no point in that, cuz he had a family anyway. they were @ the rock and roll hall of fame cerimony)
so, "jason lost his icon status" says one guy, and they all laughed and agreed
its true that he lost himself being famous, cuz where is he now?
