Salem was out to take down and hurt Trent, and he was doing that already but he threw a bit of caution into the wind to extend the amount of pain that Trent was already enduring. Salem would gain speed and run at Trent only to spear him through the ropes, sending both men on the outside. Finally, Trent couldn't keep his grasp and was thrown to the outside alongside Salem. Hitting his back hard on the padding on the outside. Salem would probably be feeling some pain from hitting that, but Trent would be feeling the most amount of pain, both in his back and in his neck from the landing.

Though he couldn't get a pinfall from the outside, Salem felt a measure of victory when he felt Trent's grip break off the top rope, letting his momentum carry the both of them freely through the air with vicious intent aimed at the ringside barricade. Turning one's body into a human missile was never a wise decision, but in this situation it had proved a fruitful one, despite what the pain registering through his body told him. Trent still lying limp at the foot of the security rail, Salem clawed his way up its side while trying to steady his breath following the exhilarating exchange he'd just had. The crowd cheering him as he stood atop the rail, Salem looked down at Trent with a tired, but satisfied smile before he crossed himself...signalling to the audience for his signature Leap of Faith!

Despite taking a huge fall, Trent already looked to get back to his feet. No use in crying over spilled milk and wasted time. He would have grabbed a piece of the mat that was able to be grabbed, in hopes of getting up, while he was on his back still. Feeling it for awhile until he saw something in the corner of his eyes, something that sent a shock-wave through his body, along with the sounds that came from them. He saw Salem standing tall on the rail, about to jump. All of a sudden, a sensation filled the body of the three time champion, forcing him to roll out of the way and taking the padding that covered the cement under it. This feeling would be a second wind in this case, not only avoiding a move but possibly placing permanent damage on Salem and getting back into this match that has been one-sided otherwise.

Salem had managed to captivate the crowd with his second high-flying maneuver, catching a gallery of camera flashes in the process of his dive onto Trent...but the lad had been coherent enough to counter, craftily rolling out of the way while exposing the concrete by pulling up the ringside padding as he did so! Helpless to defy gravity, Salem's shoulders struck the cement and bounced him up into a seated position, eyes nearly bulging out of their sockets from the shooting pain that went down his spine! Cradling his back after the botched maneuver, "The Copperhead" had been caught off his game, momentarily wincing while his opponent was trying to stage a comeback!

Trent had moved out of the way and would begin to show more movement, adrenaline pumping through his veins. He would begin to get to a kneel and stumble towards the guard rail once again, seeing multiple faces in the sea of voices that were being thrown out to both Trent and Salem. He would look at all the faces, and what merchandise they had, seeing mainly Copperhead fans in here. That aggravated him and made him want to hurt Salem even more, adding more pain than he is currently enduring at this moment, in a seated position holding the shoulder that made contact with the solid cement.

His shoulder may have been shot for the time being, but Salem's legs still worked fine, as evident by his toes tipping to and fro while his head swam in a sea of blistering pain. But the fans hadn't paid to see the People's Champion bow out at the first sign of trouble, the encouraging cries from fans nearby the barricade motivating "The Copperhead" to try standing back up, crawling towards the ring apron with hopes of pulling himself up via the skirt that hung from it!

Trent would still be fumbling around, but he overall had gained his senses and knew exactly what he was doing, and he did something no one expected him to do. This match was a fans bring the weapons match, but they never expected The Archangel to grab out to a woman's purse and search it's contents. The woman would scream at him, calling him a monster but that's all she could do. Finally, Trent would have caught something of great value. He would have pulled his hand out slowly, revealing that the weapon he had grabbed was a pepper spray can. Nothing but bad intentions were made of what was to come next from Trent, who began to back up from the audience and slowly make his way towards Salem who was also beginning to get back to his feet.

Fans were happy to see Salem stumbling back up to his feet, using his good shoulder to lean up against the apron, but their enthusiasm was tempered by the fact that Trent was quickly approaching with a weapon designed to inflict acute amounts of harm to one's person. Still slow to react from the bump he'd taken onto the concrete, "The Copperhead" didn't yet see Trent, still struggling to stand after his failed attempt to keep the rookie down!

Trent made his way to the back of Salem which was turned towards him. The Copperhead most likely trying to get back up but that fall sure seemed to hurt him more than anything else could have, besides what is to come up. Trent would have pushed Salem completely down on his stomach with his leg, squishing him against the cement while he looked at that bottle in his hand. Salem knew Trent was here now but it was too late, because he was defenseless. Trent would quit taking his time and finally begin to use this can as a weapon by replacing that foot against Salem's back with a kneel against it. Than after going down to the height of Salem, Trent would take the "head" of the Copperhead, rubbing it and caressing him before he decided to bring the can right over his temple with a vicious smack.

The sudden kick to the back sent Salem lurching forward, his coordination not yet conducive for reacting to such a fierce blow from behind. Falling to the ground next to the ring, it was all Salem could do to catch his fall with his forearms, let alone defend against the boot planted into his back, pinning him against the cold concrete. Still dazed from the rough takedown, Salem barely realized that Trent had shifted his weight and knelt down to stroke and strike his skull, making BBW's first world champion reel and roll over from the sting of having his temple rung like a gong!

Trent delivered the blow with the can leaving Salem a complete mess inside his mind. He surely would be reeling in his head, so while he took the time to regain himself. Trent would have gotten off the man and began to boast to the crowd who were booing louder and louder, sending out threats to the man which would never be done. Things such as death threats to him and his family. All Trent could do was laugh yet feel displeased that he couldn't slap everyone in the front row without getting sued. He would continue to look to the crowd until he turned to Salem who most likely had time to move around.

Salem was running on instinct, lazily looking up at the arena lights while reaching underneath the ring with one hand. The other, however, was fumbling about to find a grip on the ground and push himself back up. Unfortunately, this happened to be the arm connected to his wounded shoulder following the failed Leap of Faith, and it didn't seem like "The Copperhead" had the strength in it to support his full weight. Still squinting, Salem didn't see Trent posture to the audience or turn around to face him again while he was preoccupied with recovering his stamina!

Trent did turn and he saw Salem now on his back, looking up at Trent, unable to make the image out due to the lights that hung over both two men and the rest of the crowd. The Archangel would slowly begin to make his way towards the hurt Salem who was getting shoved around now, more than Trent was besides the early pin-fall. Which would still float around inside the head of Trent, how did he fall prey to Salem like that and lose his first fall within a matter of seconds? Trent would go to a kneel besides Salem and grab the man's throat with the free hand, looking to force the life out of him for awhile, enjoying what he was doing before he had to end it.

'Turnabout is fair play', as the saying went, so when Trent bent down to start strangling Salem with his one free hand it didn't come as much of a shock to "The Copperhead" or the crowd - both helpless to do anything about the suffering that Salem was being forced to endure. His breath being blocked in his throat, a numbness started settling into Salem's nerves as panic and adrenaline tweaked his mind, making him go wide-eyed while grasping desperately for anything nearby that could help him. His weak arm reached up and attempted to pry Trent's grip away from his neck, but a combination of his shoulder and his opponent's leverage prevented any such success. However, something smooth and firm was in the grasp of his hand ducked under the apron, giving Salem hope that he could perhaps turn the tables by surprise before he succumbed to a black-out!

Salem grabbed some kind of item but Trent didn't notice, he was too busy hurting Salem with that grasp he around the man's neck, slowly but surely taking the man out of the competition, but he knew how to do that now. Time to rip the band-aid off and go for the big moment. Trent would shake the canister of pepper spray for a few seconds, enjoying the shaking, knowing this was going to burn the hell out of the man's eyes. Once the shaking was done, he would begin to yell random things at Salem, none of them comprehensible from the crowd, seeing they were trying to boo him out of the stage. Finally, Trent placed the can near his eyes, and would begin to shoot out the spray while still choking the man. The man would likely throw a fit, but that hand around the neck would suppress the man for him to be down long enough to possibly unleash the full can into the Copperheads eyes.
