Her eyes closed in acknowledgment. She even tried nodding since her words weren't coming to her. He was probably going to Raken anyways. That was the smart thing to do. Their brother would know how to fix this.

While he was gone Starry faded in and out, seeing first one then two and three infants down against her pale flesh. That many of them? A small laugh, there was no way there were that many babies. But there was most certainly two bits of warmth pressed against her own chilled body.

Laying against whatever it was she was propped against, Starry clutched two children as tightly as she could. Determined not to let them escape her, or her to escape them.

Apparation was not something he typically relied on, but he had little choice on this day. He felt the shift in the air as he vanished, then reappeared in the new area. The demonic opened his eyes to see the previously imagined cave opening infront of him. There was no time to lose.

"Raken!" Dameon called instantly, hoping to draw him out. Without any additional warning, he ran into his brothers home. "Raken!" He called again, voice bouncing off the walls.

Dual colored eyes poked out from one of the caves many chambers, a shine of puzzlement materializing in them. Dameon? What was he doing? She lifted a hand to wave, but he rushed past her. What was going on?

"Can't talk Dyas!" He yelled behind him as he ran, though 'talk' wasn't exactly correct when communicating with his mute niece. "Raken! RAKEN!"

"By Goddess, I'm coming!" A very irritated voice answered as he slammed his book down on to his nightstand. He stood up to make his way out of his room. "What is it? Why are you yelling?!" Now he was yelling. Great. He sighed heavily as a yellow figure barreled down the hallway towards him. Dameon. Of course.

"Thank the Guardians, Raken! You're home!" The male skidded to a stop, sweat beading on his brow. "There's no time to explain. Starry is in big, BIG trouble in Fae Clearing. You have to apparate back and help her. Please, please, please help her Raken!" He spoke frantically, body visibly shaking.

"Of course I'm home..." He drifted off after noticing the panicked look on the others face. Instantly all irritation left to be replaced by serious worry. He hadn't seen his brother so afraid since the giant squirrel incident. Since Dameon said there was no time to explain, he didn't waste time with a plethora of questions. He only had one. "North, east, west or south side?"

His brother was going to help. Of course he would, Dameon knew he would. But it was still a relief. Raken was smarter, tougher, more reliable than he ever was. He was the pillar of strength among the family. Not a single one questioned his word or ability. Dameon had complete faith that Raken could do anything.

He could save Starry. "Uhhh....South. Thank you Raken. I'll head back on foot."

The silver haired male smiled reassuringly, for the sake of his fretting brother. "Good. Bring what ever you think may help. I don't care what, nothing is off limits here." If it was as bad as Dameon had it seem like, nothing in his possession was worth Starry's life. He took off in a sprint to exit his cave, needing light for the apparation. Materializing a wolf for travel would make it faster to leave his home, but he didn't know if he would need to save his energy for what ever awaited him. "Stay here Dyas." He spoke as he rushed by her puzzled face.

First Hemi left without letting her know, and now Raken was rushing out? Why was Dameon running around, gathering blankets? What is going on here?!

The instant his body broke into the sunlight, the male abruptly stopped to close his eyes. Within his minds eye, he pictured the Fae Clearing. Hold on Starry. I am coming.

Tartara Seabreeze
The following terrible-ness brought to you by near death experiences! And nothing for her to do except pass the hell out right now.

Dame was gone. Not here anymore. Raken was coming... Right? Starry couldn't tell anymore. Whatever was wrong was taking its toll on her cognitive processes.

Weary green eyes attempted to gaze at the bundles in her arms. Both covered in blood and gore. Funny, she didn't remember two coming out... But... Oh this would be easier after a nice long nap. She gave the little things a weak smile before closing her eyes and attempting to sleep a little. Or at least what she hoped was sleep.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 26, 2014 11:05 pm

Instantly Raken popped into existence in the clearing, his calm blue eyes flicking over. At least they were calm until they saw a crumpled form a few yards away. "Starry?!" He could see blood, even from there. Did something attack her? Fearing the worst, the demonic raced over to her still form. "Starry!" He yelled again, trying to get her attention. As he got closer he noticed the babies in her arms. A creature attacked her with children?! Anger boiled. He dropped to his knees to skid the last few feet beside her. "No, no. Starry I need you to wake up." Raken reached forward to tap her face, trying to get her to stir as he panned the area for any potential threat. His eyes fell on the broken umbilical cord, the fluids and discharge. There were no wounds he could readily see. A pae with half a brain could piece this together. It wasn't a fight...it was a birth. And she was hemorrhaging. "Stay with me Starry." The male gently pulled the females surprising grip on the babies to gently lay them on the ground beside her. He then gave a strong push to turn her from her back and onto her side to relieve pressure on the uterus.

When Fre was pregnant with his girls, he found every pregnancy book he could get his hands on. When Dyas became pregnant, he reread them all. Dameon was never the reading type, it was no surprise the demon panicked. "Come on Starry, you're stronger than this. You can beat this." Raken encouraged as he reached over to rub her abdomen. Stimulate contractions. He read it had a high percentage of slowing to stopping heavy bleeding. If he didn't get her stable soon, death was an option.

Get things that would help. That was his instructions. The demonic ran around the caves, often stumbling into rooms that had nothing as he had never visited past the living room. It ended up with him grabbing the furs that were used as rugs or on beds. If there was a designated 'linen closet' he was completely oblivious to it. Finally he managed to stumble into the kitchen. Bucket for water. Need a bucket for some water!

"Uncle Dameon, what's going on?"

At the voice he nearly dropped all his furs. The male whirled around to stare at the violet haired female in the doorway. But...she...she was mute. Starry! He didn't have time to stare and wonder. Twisting on his heel, the yellowed pae continued his search. "Starry gave birth in fae clearing, but it went wrong. Your Dad ran out to help her because...because I'm an idiot." Thank the Guardians his brother wasn't though.

When her uncle whipped around, the female gave a cheerful smile. Come to think of it, none of the family was familiar with her power. The shadows bubbled by her feet, her power still to weak to take a real form yet. She watched as he went back to his frenzied search, and felt her smile slip from her face at his words. Small wonder why Dameon had come in like a tornado, and her father running out with hardly a word. "You can't carry everything yourself. I'll help too." Raken had told her to stay there but...

...Starry was family.

"No, you heard your father..." She was right though. They could carry more together and...by the Goddess, Starry was worth Rakens wrath a thousand times over. "Yes, please. I need water. And any pain herbs you have. And anything else you could possibly think we'd need." He'd wonder about how he was talking to his mute niece later. They were in a crisis.

Starry groaned, or she thought she did. It was probably more of a grunt than anything. But what could she tell, she was too busy trying to get a little sleep. Her eyes fluttered a little, trying to focus on Raken. Raken? What was he doing here? But better yet, where were the babies?

And then there was the... Her stomach felt weird. Her eyes closed, head flopping back towards the hard surface her side was pressed up against. Whatever that was on her stomach could keep doing that. It felt nice. Or maybe it didn't and it was just a feeling amidst a sea of nothingness. That nothingness scared her. It felt so peaceful, but that was it. There were two babies that needed her, it was too early for peace wasn't it?

Luckily, whatever Raken was doing was working. No amount of stimulation would regenerate the blood Starry was loosing, but it was giving it a chance to clot and stave off the massive amounts of blood loss.

Starry's eyes cracked open once more, looking around for the babies. That nothingness... No, there were babies that needed her. "Soliel? Siofra?" Came the softest of whispers. If she was going to hold onto anything it would be them. There was a family waiting for her, whatever was going on right that instant would just have to wait. Now was not the time to leave anyone alone, especially the two little girls she had just worked so hard to bring into this world.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 29, 2014 8:04 pm

Never had he seen a pae so...weak. So pale. So close to the afterlife. It was terrifying to him, and his heart hurt to see a family member in such a way. But it was because of that pain that fueled the fire to save her. After all, those babies needed her. Her older children needed her. Dameon needed her. Which all meant that he needed her too. "Siofra? Soliel?" He looked down at the crying babies, both obviously upset to be taken from their comfortable mother. The world was noisy and scary to them, and being out of her arms wasn't helping. "Yes, Siofra and Soliel. You have to stay for them." The demonic paused his massaging to gently lay the babes against her before continuing. "Stay with us. Stay with your babies." Raken pressed, encouraging her fight to live because of them. You better hurry up Dame with those supplies. He thought to himself as he looked up to the sky. The sooner they were able to get her stable enough to get her home, the better.

Blankets, water, herbs and even a pouch of snacks. They loaded up two sacks, one for each pae, and quickly took to the skies. As they flew, Dameon's mind raced. What if Raken didn't make it in time, or couldn't stabilize Starry? If anything happened...if she wasn't okay...His stomach knotted painfully with guilt. No, he had to believe she was okay. He had to believe in Raken. His brother was doing everything that he possibly could, he just had to hurry up with the supplies.

Even flying at top speed, it took painful minutes. Minutes that felt like hours. Finally their huddled forms took shape on the ground, and the two angled down towards them.

(And no one has noticed Siofra is a paeterpillar! XD)

Raken said something, and then there was a searing heat near her again. Was she that cold her babies felt like an open flame to the touch? Or were they feverish? Why wasn't he concentrating on the babies instead of her? Starry groaned a bit, trying to move her arms to cradle the little ones.

The weakened female closed her eyes, feeling that sleep tug at her again. Only this time she wouldn't give into it, there was no way. There were two bawling little girls that needed her love. And Dameon. He would be devastated if she wasn't around to care for the little girls while he was getting things for them. Starry gave a grunt of acknowledgement to Raken. Or at least, she hoped it was. There was no way she was going to let whatever this was win. Not with two crying babies to calm.

Dementia Requiem Asumi
<.<; He's got a bit of tunnel vision at the moment.

Where was that clueless yellow boy? "Dameon..." He muttered under his breath. Right before two shadows slipped over him. Rakens head jerked up, lips parting to bark orders. But he saw why there were two shadows. Not one. "Dyas?! I told you...There's no time." He quickly changed from anger to back to the matter on hand. Anger had no place here at the time. "Get those blankets on her. She's going into shock and we can't give her water then. Dyas, raise her feet to increase circulation."

He couldn't get to the ground fast enough. The male hit the island hard as he waited until the last moment to stop free falling. "Starry!" His voice mingled with Rakens at his brothers own exclamation. She was still in critical condition, holding two bloody, crying babies...wait. Two? He only delivered one, he was sure of it. Maybe Starry hadn't been finished. The demonic ripped off his sack to yank a blanket out. That could wait. Something seemed off about the second baby, but it all had to wait. Dameon gently laid the fur over his wife, trying to give her warmth. As father and daughter scurried around, Raken giving orders and Dyas complying, he focused on getting Starry and the babies comfortable. There was something off about one of the babies. It was...catapillierish?

As Raken gave out her instructions, Dyas got out her own blankets, folding them over and over to give them height before sticking them under Starry's feet. With that completed, she looked up for Rakens next order. There had to be something more she could do.

While Dameon and Dyas worked, Raken leaned close to Starry's face to listen to her breathing. Then he gently checked her pulse on a wrist. After quietly taking the readings into account, he sat back with a sigh. "Her breathing is steady, and her heart's good. We've done all we could..." He knew there was a way to get new blood in to replace what was lost but quite frankly, his expertise ended there. It was far too complicated with blood types, needles, infections. He didn't delve into it. "It's not wise to move her until we're sure she's out of immediate danger. So...we will make her as comfortable as possible, and hope she comes to." He smoothly stood to walk to the sacks of items and shift through them. Eventually settling on a cloth, he dampened it with water. "We should start praying to the Guardians." Raken spoke quietly as he knelt back down to gently dab the females face with his moist rag. After all...I am no medical pae...Just an old male, with books and faith. He kept that to himself though, not wanting to worry his brother any more.

Tartara Seabreeze
I'm just gonna say, I like misspelling your name when I manually write the quotes. <3

There was a vague sense of familiarity around her, had Dame come back? Starry couldn't tell, everything was still a blur, and then the scorching heat of the babies wasn't so unbearable anymore. There was a light pressure against her, and the world was growing steadily warmer. Figuring it to be a nice spot of sunlight, she relaxed a little, attempting to cradle the two little girls that had managed to find their way back into her arms.

Raken was right, she couldn't go anywhere. "mmm.." She mumbled, closing her eyes. This time, it was different though, she just wanted sleep. None of that scary peacefulness that was threatening itself before. Was whatever that was gone? Surely it must be, she wasn't going to slip into it. That thing must have known she wouldn't. There were still pae who needed her, no way was she going to give in to whatever that was.

It would be a while before she regained consciousness. Guardians Above she had just lost a lot of blood and managed to deliver at least one healthy and normal baby. Possibly two, but she wouldn't notice or question it until well after they had managed to make it back to their home.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 02, 2014 11:29 am

Minutes slipped by as everyone stared at Starry, waiting for something horrible to happen. But it didn't. She merely slept, her body slowing any energy consumption while regenerating blood. Raken continued to gently pat her face even as the minutes turned into an hour, every so often re-wetting the cloth. Finally, his steel blue eyes flicked up to his conscious family members. "Alright...I believe we can start to gently, carefully move her." Inside his minds eye he pulled the shadows from within him to have the darkness around him puddle by his side. The shadows writhed as the molded his inner ball, shaping it to what he willed. A bear. The shadow creature took form, it's 3 dimensional form solid but no strong details on the surface. Raken motioned for Dyas to take the babies as himself and Dameon gently picked up the demonic female to set her on the bears back. "You can take your children from Dyas now. I will stay beside Starry to steady her if she starts to slip off the shadow. Dyas..." Raken looked over to his daughter, already handing of the sleeping babes. He smiled as her dual colored eyes flicked to him. "I'm proud of you. Go home, take the supplies back and check on your sons. Maybe Hemi has returned by now."

Unquestioningly, Dameon obeyed Rakens every order to the T. It was no doubt that Starry was alive because of his guidance. They owed him a debt they could never repay, though Raken would never hold that against them. After lifting Starry onto the...bear... -is that even safe?- he moved towards Dyas to take his children from her. It was a caterpillar! Starry birthed a caterpillar! Perhaps it was like Cressida, who had peculiar markings. Both of them were green in parts. But while Cressida had parts of him, like the yellow feet and hands, this baby was....nothing like him. At all. To think of it, the babe didn't even resemble it's mother. But obviously Starry just birthed it, which meant it was theirs. He was going to have a long conversation with the female though once she recovered.

The demonic would never...cheat...on him...would she?

Her father was amazing! How he managed to keep such a cool head in times of stress was awe inspiring. He knew what to do, how to do it, and saved a paes life. And probably would never mention it again. It was amazing that he was her father. Then he spoke her name, and she looked at him like a child caught cookie-handed. In all the excitement, she had forgotten he had told her to stay. She had broken a Raken rule.

WAIT! What?! He was proud of her? A large smile broke out on her face as she nodded. She had made the right choice after all. Family came before rules. The hybrid started picking up the discarded blankets, water and cloth to stuff back into the sacks. She wouldn't be able to comfortably fly with two packs, which meant she had a long walk ahead of her. Great.

Why are we quoting one another right now anyways? XD AIM works wonders, and you have my number when I start lagging

Starry managed to stay asleep until Raken loaded her onto the shadow bear. Okay, she slept through that too, but she did give them enough of a start when she was set down. Apparently a pae could still feel things even when they were solidly unconscious. She had managed a wince and a small groan before settling back in as much as was possible for a limp pae such as herself.

And the trip went well, with her sleeping through all of it and not slipping. Raken had done amazingly well with this creature she was riding. Which was something he'd always done well. If she were awake she would have to commend him for his awesome talent with his ability.

It was some time later that Starry actually awoke, nestled comfortably in the bed she shared with Dameon. There had been moments of lucidity during the long sleep, but nothing of actual waking up and being aware of what was going on. Starry was not to be blessed with the gentle waking of a normal sleep either, this was something more along the lines of panic. Where were the babies? Babies? Baby? It didn't matter, the last she knew they were pressed against her and now they were gone! Was that even a real memory?

"Soliel?!" She called, almost jolting upright. Something was holding her back from getting up. Green eyes frantically looked around to see what was pinning her to the bed. And there was Dame, conked out at the bedside. Had she been seriously ill and imagined the whole thing? "Dameon?" He hesitated, reaching out to him. He had to know something about what was happening?
PostPosted: Wed Jul 02, 2014 12:28 pm

It had been the worst trip to Fae Clearing, ever. After getting back to the house and making everyone situated, Dameon had passed out himself by her bedside. His sleep was deep and uneventful, no dreams to speak of. It was a good, recuperating sleep. Until a panicked voice broke the solitude. Dameon jumped awake, blue eyes flashing open. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Easy Star." He moved out of his chair to gently take her by the shoulders, comforting her. "You have to lay back down. It's okay, they're okay. Raken is watching over them in the living room." His brother had kindly offered to stay for the night, partly encase Starry's condition plummeted again, and partially to be a babysitter so he could rest. "If you promise to take it easy, I can get them now that you're awake."

(Just like this 8D )

"Them?" She blinked, relaxing. Dame clearly did know a lot more about what was doing on. And he was probably working on orders from Raken to make sure she laid down. "What do you mean them? There's more than one?" She would have been elated if she could have remembered anything after the contractions started. The more awake she got the dimmer that all seemed to be.

"How... How bad am I Dameon?" Starry almost hesitated to ask. She needed to know. "Was I asleep long?" She needed to be awake to make sure the babies were properly nourished didn't she? Or was Raken making sure that was taken care of too? He was almost annoyingly efficient about it. Yet, she owed her life to that wonderful demon. Thank the Guardians she was blessed enough to call him her brother.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 02, 2014 1:01 pm

She...was surprised with multiple babies? The female must have been too out of it to even remember. He smiled gently as he stuffed a few pillows behind her so she could lay while propped up. "Two healthy, beautiful babies." He neglected to mention the gender considering...who knew how to sex a caterpillar? "You're still...pale. Raken says you almost died." Dameon spoke more gently, avoiding eye contact. If he looked at her while explaining this, he might cry. "You've been asleep for...probably a full day now. Raken made some formula..." He himself had offered to do that, but when he was in full babysitter mode the silver haired male couldn't be stopped. "He says to stay in bed for at least two more days. Then no heavy lifting, cleaning, or really leaving the house for a few weeks. Doesn't want to reopen whatever tore." If something did. The reason behind the mass bleeding required a diagnostics run neither male was knowledgeable enough to do. "But not too much. They're probably hungry now." He gently kissed her forehead before walking out to get the babes.

The yellow demonic would find Raken sitting down in a chair, cradling both babies against him as he softly talked to them about random, meaningless things. After helping raise so many brothers and sisters, and rearing his own flesh and blood, he knew how to take care of babies. It was almost second nature to him now. He looked up as his brother walked in. "She's awake?"

Dameon stopped being shocked by Raken a long time ago. Seeing him all snuggled against too babies, sweetly talking to them, came as no surprise. It was however, adorable. He gave a nod, a relieved smile on his face. "Yes, and I told her you recommended taking it easy."

"Not that I expect she'll listen to me." Females tended to try and do their own thing against all reasonable logic. More emotion in them, he surmised. He smoothly stood with the babies to walk into the shared room of his sibling. "Now...there's been something troubling me for a while now. One girl is quite plainly a normal outcome of you two. The other...well..." He gently handed off the yellow-red head to Starry, but kept the green girl to move the cloth that swaddled her. "Two demons...don't make this."

Starry nodded her own agreement. Whatever had happened to her clearly took a lot from her. Raken was probably right, even if she wasn't going to be happy about being stuck in the bed. But sense was sense, and Raken was making it. At least until he came back into the room with two babies. One normal looking little girl and another that he un-swaddled to reveal being a caterpillar.

"What the hell is that?" Her eyes grew wide, taking in the site of something that apparently she had attempted to protect after giving birth to the little one in her arms. "It doesn't even look like Dameon or myself!" She knew she was being loud, but that didn't stop her from keeping that level. Surely the little one in her arms would understand that. Right? Starry looked down to make sure the babe she was holding could handle the stress Starry was surely pouring into her.
