Preacher stared in bleary fascination as the bald guy manhandled not only a pretty-boy but Shun (!) back to the seats by the bonfire. She had not tried to leave - in her current condition, she could not begin to take on the two overwhelmingly large men running the bonfire. While Preacher was no longer overly dizzy, her fever still raged off and on and her cough was as persistent as death and taxes. Since she had been dragged her, she may as well be comfortable. With that thought, she laid down on the bench, taking up enough space for at least 3 people. The fire was bright and even

Idly, she wondered what sort of scary story she was supposed to tell. There were a million ghosts tales, demonic possession, titan invasions... but nothing was really scarier than real life. She sighed and rolled over onto her back.

It seemed like Cyril had shared a similar fate to his own. Shun glared at the fire, then heard Alec's attempt at small talk.

"Pissed off," he muttered lowly. He had half a mind to try leaving again, though not right away. The two bald men were likely alert right now and watching their move. He'd have to bide his time, then try to sneak off later on.

His gaze flicked towards Elliot briefly, just silently staring at the boy before focusing back on the flames.

Alec rather wished not to be noticed right now, least it attracted attention. He watched as the other was dropped on his head. "Yea...he did warn us." He looked between Shun and Cyril shaking his head slowly. "I don't recommend you keep it up." Alec said quietly, a bit stiff. "Might as well take a seat."

However, he did noticed Preacher taking up as much leg room as possible and gave the boy a look. Sort of a half stare, in the span of a few moments the other was stretching and taking as much leg room as his frame could. "Hey move ov..." he muttered gently about to push at the other before frowning at the bleary eyed look he caught, and series of coughs coming from the other boy. "You really need a nap after this.." he frowned in concern. "You going to be alright Preacher?" he opted against the name teasing from earlier.

Hearing Shun's comment the red head frowned. "Well no s**t..can't say I blame you. Uh...just sit down it won't kill you anyway." He cast a nervous glance to the bald sentries not far away.

Well, Shun obviously wasn't in a good mood, and Elliot could hardly blame him after what had just happened. Making a mental note to avoid the bald twins to the best of his ability tonight (or at least, avoid their wrath), he turned to glance at Alec. "I'm, er...okay, I guess. Feeling a little tenser than I did a minute ago--" His gaze flickered pointedly to one of the bald men, "But I could be worse."

Case in point: Preacher, who had just arrived only to lay himself down on one of the empty seats. It didn't take a genius to see that he was sick, especially since Elliot could hear some steady coughing coming from his direction. Giving both Shun and Alec a brief look, he rose from his spot (he wasn't leaving, alright, chill out bald men) and made his way to where the younger boy was.

Hovering over him, Elliot leaned forward until his face was directly above Preacher's and lift his brows. "You look like death," He informed the other bluntly before his lips turned downwards in a faint frown, "You okay? Shouldn't you be getting some rest somewhere?"

Henrik had missed the banquet, and he'd missed the parade (though he'd heard stories about both) - but there was no way he was going to miss out on the bonfire. If he was lucky, there'd be food - and maybe there'd be sweets. Henrik loved sweets, and as the large man was escorted to the bonfire, any hope of fun was quickly eradicated.

The rather impressively-sized, bald-headed man had Henrik's shoulders slumping just slightly as he made a subconscious attempt to go unnoticed - something that was usually impossible for him to accomplish. Henrik didn't make eye-contact with the big bald fellow, either, as it was rather obvious that he meant business.

Which probably meant that there would be no sweets involved, either.

Seating himself with a rather melancholy sigh, Henrik braced his elbows on his knees and busied himself with gazing sullenly into the flames. Every once in a while he'd let out a wistful sound.

No. Sweets.

"Yeah, yeah," he grumbled in response to Alec. The presence of the two bald asshats made him feel captive; a feeling he did not appreciate in the slightest.

Noticing Preacher there now, Shun raised his brow briefly while examining the boy.

"Yes. You look like s**t," he agreed with Elliot, "The hell are you doing here?"

Same general sentiment as the pink haired boy. Just.. delivered a bit differently. If Preacher was ill, that was just bad news. Their lifestyle tended to not help with the whole healing process with sickness and the like.

The first day of the festival seemed so distant to Nik now as he deftly navigated the streets he had once classified as dirty. As he passed by people from various walks of life he looked at their faces, politely bobbing his head in greeting and reflecting on how before this day they had meant nothing to him. They hadn’t even existed aside from the occasional jokes he and his friends told about using them to satiate the Titans, insinuating that they would only be useful in death. The nobles acted as though these people were burdens to them, leeches or undesirable insects, but Nik was slowly beginning to realize the roles were reversed. They were hardworking individuals who had met him with kindness and acceptance even after discerning his station. Even after realizing he was among those who made their lives difficult, who took what they had to offer and more without a second though or even gratitude. His smile melted and his heart sank in his chest as he also came to the conclusion that these realizations would never come to light. That he would return home and pretend none of it ever happened; he would return to the jokes and cruelty, it was just how he was. Unable to choose a face because he had so many, unable to form a true opinion because he merely copied those of others, unable even to realize that he was lost. The veil of ignorance once more fell over his gray eyes as he peered ahead, always ahead and without time for thought or reflection. That was the meaning of ignorance.

A fire leapt into view and with its intense heat his thoughts burned away and he mindlessly seated himself on a log beside a cloaked figure, a woman as far as his discerning eyes could tell. His attention was soon captured by a bald man intent on showing how powerful he was by scaring the bejeesus out of everyone there, executing his point perfectly as he dragged two boys back to the bonfire. Turning to look at the woman beside him he chuckled. “Why tell horror stories when you have something like that around?” The moment of laughter passed and his heart froze in his breast as he leaned toward the girl to see her face better. He knew her. He had met her before and it wasn’t during the festival. The name Eden came to mind and he scooted clumsily away from her. “I..Uh..” Clearing his throat he stood and quickly attempted to conceal his face by looking away from her. He had seen her at the fancy parties his family had thrown, and he was reasonably certain he had pursued her before as well. “Excuse me..” He muttered, looking frantically around for an escape, any escape.

"What was that, Curry? Or was that Shun? Dun kick my feet off or I'll kick ya. Need m'space. I'll sleep when I'm dead." Preacher chuckled, Art least Alec had neither sat on her legs nor called her Peaches. She had risen on her elbows to look at him, but that was simply tiring. To one side was a hulking man who simply stared forlornly into the fire, the other side held Alec now. Thankfully, she hadn't seen her nemesis around. Not that she had been looking.

When she leaned back, Elliot appeared out of nowhere to hover over her like some strange pink bird. Hoover closely. Preacher leaned up just far enough that her nose touched his. It was a war on personal space. "By tha walls, why're you so titan-damned close?" She turned her head to the side and coughed. Elliot should be happy she hadn't coughed in his concerned face. That concern was nie, though. It was something new. "I'ma gettin' rest. Fire's warm. Night's dark. Bench's alrigh' I'll be good." And with that, she gave a shaky thumbs up and pulled something out of her vest.

Unwrapping the fruit pie, she nibbled on the edge. The apples and cinnamon had softened in a sweet mush on the inside. After a few bites, she set it on her stomach and sighed. So sweet.

He took Alec's words and sit himself down. "Heh I guess..." he said at ease to Alec. He glanced back at the bald man and turned back. He didn't really feel like going up against that no matter what his level of confidence was. Besides Shun and Alec he didn't really know anyone else here. Cyril sorta felt like a soar thumb sticking out. He looked around at everyone around him. He sat there coming up with two possibilities. 1. Try his best to getting involved or 2. Try and find another way to escape unnoticed.

The Semblance of Unity

Henrik sat, his expression growing more and more crestfallen with each second that passed. The crackling flames did nothing to brighten his spirits, and all of the conversation going on around him was nothing more than a low, distant hum in his ears. No sweets. What kind of bonfire was this, anyway? No sweets. He certainly could have brought his own spiced cakes from home, but he hadn't because Henrik had been hoping against hope that there would be sweets here at the bonfire.

But there weren't. There weren't any sweets. Anywhere.

Suddenly, Henrik caught the wafting scent of something sweet and fruity. He immediately sat a little straighter, as if perfect posture meant that he'd have whatever it was that he'd smelled. Rubbing a broad hand along his whiskered jawline, Henrik pursed his lips and glanced around. He didn't have to look very far.

The little creature next to him - he couldn't tell if it was male or female (not that it mattered, because fruit pies) - was eating a pie. Oh, the crust was so golden brown and looked incredibly buttery and flaky, and Henrik let out a lusty little sigh. He could almost taste it.

Clearing his throat loudly, Henrik shifted his bulk so that he was angled more towards the waifish youth. He then folded his big hands in his lap.

And smiled.

And smiled.

And smiled.

He only had eyes for you, half-eaten fruit pie. He only had eyes for you.

"I didn't realize you had the plague or I wouldn't have pushed at ya calm your jets." He replied softly casting the blue haired boy a look, shaking his head. "True, not like we won't watch over you while you rest here." He eye'd the large fire, leaning in a bit and warming his hands on the fire. What sort of story could he tell? Perhaps the old one about the village and its wicked cats. Or perhaps another like it? He wasn't sure, it had been an awful long time she he'd been told that story. He'd think about it later.

Alec glanced at Shun briefly giving him a kind of slight head tilt. "You going to join in the story telling?" Although he had a feeling what the answer would be. It didn't hurt to ask. To Elliot he peered at his close proximity between the two and gave him a wry little nod.

"Can't say I'm really all that relaxed anymore..We'll just have to pass the time some other way." He made a small sound, akin to a groan as he settled back onto his log trying to find a way to get comfortable.

Now who was this guy? He was quiet large, and stared quietly into the fire. Alec was pretty sure he'd never met him before. ..And his stare. Why the bloody hell was he SMILING so wide? Alec blinked, his eyes a bit wide as he looked between Preacher and the large dark haired man.

The dancing flames before her no longer held her attention, the bald man and his twin had quite violently dragged the two men who had tried to leave the bonfire. She gave a snort at the scene, really horror stories were not that bad. She gazed back at the flame only to give a slight jump at the sight of a man next to her. His voice was quite familiar to her, its rhythm tickled the memory at the back of her mind. Then he turned and saw her face, it was if she were a spider and him her prey. He backed away from her quickly then, stammering as he tried to flee from her web. The memory came back then, of soft stolen kisses on a full moon night then catching sight of him with another woman only a few hours later. A smile appeared on her countenance as she looked up at the boy, “Going somewhere Mr. Windsor? You seem to have lost color in your face… it appears you have seen a ghost and the stories have not even yet begun. Or are you afraid of what you find in the dark Mr. Windsor?” At this point in time there were quite a bit of conversations going about, most were still shocked about what the bald headed twins had done. They really should not have been so shocked, there was a warning in the beginning after all. A part of herself hoped that Nik would try to flee the bonfire after seeing her there. Oh how entertaining it would be to see him get dragged back and thrown on his noble a**. He definitely had it coming.

Preacher shoved her foot into Alec. Not hard, but just enough to be annoying. "Better make it scary." A coughing fit wracked her, but when it finally settled she noticed a certain set of eyes. Even the sick and bleary Preacher would have found it hard to ignore that stare. Except it wasn't directed at her exactly... but her,.... pie?

The man's grin widened almost frighteningly. Slowly, ever, so slowly, Preacher pulled out the other fruit pie she had secreted in her vest,. It was the reserve pie. The sweetest of sweet berries. She held it slightly above her face, narrowly missing Elliot's own face, and waggled it a bit.

"Rather not," he tersely replied. Shun didn't want to be here in the first place, really. But for now, he was stuck. He crossed his arms over his chest as he sat there, staring into the fire. Out of the corner of his eyes, he spotted a rather large man smiling at Preacher hungrily.

"..."

He raised his brow.

"I know Preacher's small, but I wouldn't try to eat him," he stated flatly. Was he joking? It was hard to tell with his tone and features.
