She looked quite displeased when she saw their bigger pile from where she was, huffing her chest. But then again.. she was the great huntress! This is nothing compared to that! She simply was too good for this contest!
Beast had an orange in his mouth eating the whole thing even with the skin. He was to take care of what they had harvested (even if some were definitely crushed..) as Wildland started to travel back.

Herald smiled a little bit more widely, this time reaching his blue eyes. "Sprig is free to visit me whenever she may please. I promise her a feast should she visit. And, if she's so inclined, she could bring her doe friend..." The buck laughed under his breath at his own joke, tail tip fanning briefly. It was a giddy sensation, being received so well. It was new, and he liked it.
Noting Wildland's departure, he bowed his head to the two before him. "Thank you for making the orange gathering such a joy. I'll grab a few more and be on my way as well, so I might traverse enough land to reach home by nightfall." A few more were nudged to his pile, measuring just how many more he could manage.

And she chuckled shyly at that, nodding her head. "The doe friend would certainly go, I'm sure." Sprig left her back and started to wrap the oranges in a long leaf that they had rolled the fruits in, the doe looking up and down for a moment as if debating something.
"Thank you for making my day unexpectedly joyous, Herald. I-- am very happy I found a friend in you..." and immediately after she said that she leaned forward and brushed her nose to his neck before jumping back and bowing her head before turning and leaving, Sprig fluttering her wings at Herald before she followed her master.
"Goodbye!" Bare Trees turned her flushed face back one more time at the kind buck.

He was stunned at her movement, but he did not react outwardly save for a softening of the smile he wore. "It was my pleasure, dearest Tree, brave Sprig." A few more oranges added, and he was at capacity, satisfied with the bounty.
Herald stood where he was, watching the two depart, feeling a mingled sense of satisfaction and wonder. When Tree looked back, he gave her a farewell lift of his head. "Til next we meet!"
