"No," Noah admitted. "Nobody said ... means they're not sure." He sighed, a shallow motion. "On my chart?"

Al eased off the bed and scurried around it to grab Noah's chart and brought it back with him. Climbing up on the edge again carefully before offering it to him. "Can you see or do you want me to read it?" It was rude to just assume when so much personal information was involved.

"You can read it," Noah said. "Effort," and he managed a little smile, as though he was just being lazy instead of exhausted.

Al shook his head and smirked just a sliver. He was pretty sure Noah was just being a lazy a*****e but he's way too hurt to call him on it. Instead, Al obediently read off the information, "It says you have about five days more in this dump." A proper smirk revealed itself, "It also says you wet the bed and that your middle name is Nancy."

"You're ... full of it," Noah said, but couldn't muster up a proper glare. "Five?" That seemed like forever when he was lying here unable to do much of anything, unable to even feed himself. But on the other hand, he felt noticeably better tan he had yesterday, even if he still hurt a lot. If each day brought this much improvement, he should be able to do some things soon. Eat, read. That would be nice. Anyway, it wasn't like he could do anything about it. He was just going to have to wait it out.

Al flashed a toothy grin before settling back down and placing the chart in his own lap. "Yeah, five seems like a long time. Good thing you're made of such tough stuff though. I was r.... checking up on this sort of thing and I was definitely not expecting this fast of a recovery. Though, is there anything specific you want me to bring you for next time?"

"Um ... books?" Noah asked hopefully. "Sucks that it hurts ... sucks worse being bored." He felt a little stupid saying so, but it was true. The pain would go away eventually. He just had to wait it out. Boredom, on the other hand, was something that didn't have an easy solution when he was stuck here with nothing to do.

"Um... any specific genre you like?" Oh god, it felt nerdy just asking that. What's going on? Was he being tested? He was going to fail so miserably... Not a nerd, not a nerd, not a nerd. On the outside, he was smiling just a bit too much.

"Sci-fi, fantasy ... um ... anything," Noah asked. He'd read even boring books to alleviate the sheer tedium of being stuck in bed, once he could. There were probably no comic books around here. Maybe he could go to a comic shop next time he could go on leave.

Al nodded, he already had some ideas of choice titles swimming in his head. "Alright man, I'll bring you books next time. For now though, backpack should supply you with some things." He moved the bag to Noah's bed - just within his reach but not too close that it may topple on him.
"I better go before people find me here," he smiled wearily at Noah. "Plus you still need to rest man."

"Thanks," Noah said, and gave Al as much of a smile as he could manage without it hurting too much. "Was nice."

"I'm already looking forward to next time," he admitted before grabbing his violin case, moving the chair out of the way of the door, checking the door for unwanted guests, and finally scramming.
