Oh, now that was much better, Kadyrelte sighed in relief as she shook off the tiny rush of powering up. Sure, her leg still hurt, but at least she wasn't completely defenseless now. She'd waved her thanks to the corrupted senshi who'd gotten her away from the fire before going in search of energy fodder. And she supposed that she should also find General Avalon while she was at it.
Grinning a little, she headed for where she knew the General would be, only pausing to relieve a random civilian of some of their energy. After all, it was only polite to arrive at the party with a gift, right?
"Thank you for your contribution to our cause," she murmured to the man she'd chosen, barely containing a giggle.
Once she had an orb in hand, she ran full out, gritting her teeth against the pain from her burn. And once she got close enough to where Avalon was sure to be, she let out a delighted laugh and tossed the orb in the General's direction.
"I have a present for you, Fearless Leader, ma'am!"

"Leda!" Ida called back softly, hearing a bing from her phone that signaled a text. "I don't know what's going on, but I can guarantee its nothing good. Which means I'm not leaving them to do whatever it is without some sort of resistance. It's possible it's just energy draining, but this feels like a far bigger opporation..."
Oddly... Both of the senshi that had joined her seemed to be... Looking to her for guidance. In the newly named Gunn's case it just might be a question of whether she would have back up or not, but it was still waiting on her. It was a strange sensation, or would have been if she hadn't been too focused on the problem to notice it.
If Gunn was worried about doing this alone, she was perhaps in for quite a surprise...
"I'd rather not bother asking what's going on. It's a waste of our time, especially if they attempt to stall. Whatever is going on, it needs to end." A glance at her phone confirmed Tsui was on her way, which made this decision all the easier... She had two senshi with her and a group of three had been all she 'd ever really needed. "I wouldn't have done this alone, but if we stick together, don't separate, we can attack them from the front directly. Our priority should be the crystals... If we push hard we can probably make it close enough to destroy them." And what then? Deep in the heart of the enemy forces... But she counted the risk acceptable, with her two partners for the night.
"Don't get drug down scrapping with someone." Ida said as she stepped boldly out from cover. It was probably stupid to assume the pair would follow her 'orders', but at this point Ida was done hiding, whatever they decided to do. "Rush the crystals and stick close."
"Heavenly Orchid Arrows!" She shouted as she threw her hand up, trailing glowing petals. As the form coalesced into a bow, the eternal grabbed it up and pulled the invisible string back to call to life a glowing arrow between her hands. She released it with a decisive motion, sending the arrow roaring across the fountain directly for one of the crystals on a transformer.
If someone didn't intercept the arrow, they might just have a leg up on the negaverse in a matter of moments.

feel free to shoot down the arrow or block it, anyone! Also feel free to target Ida now that she's announced herself so boldly

Eternal Sailor Attack: Heavenly Orchid Arrows!
[What it does] An out-flung hand casts a trail of petals that form a bow-like shape. She takes it up and uses it to fire arrows of light with hardened petals as arrow heads. The arrows have an 'aura' of power to them and explode on contact. The explosion is more concussive, causing a pressure that can push a target backwards a foot or two, but doesn't do much in the way of actual damage. Unbalanced enemies could be knocked over, if they were caught unaware. Particularly heavy opponents may not be moved by the attack, but could be distracted or slowed by the pressure of it. Each arrow takes a lot of power to cast and her limit is three, which exhausts her and can force her to retire until she's rested.
Despite the fact that the Negaverse had abandoned the area around the department store, the city was still abnormally dark and so after leaving Cora in the care of the mint green-haired senshi who had rescued them from the roof of the burning store Liryn had headed further into the city.
The little tabby bobtail couldn't help but feel that there was more afoot about the city than the events that had occurred at the burning store and he was doing to doing his level best to stick his feline whiskers into it and get to the bottom of things - particularly as it seemed that the Negaverse were involved.
Eventually he was able to pick up on a great deal of Negaverse auras, all pretty close together and he headed in that direction at a kitty trot.
His search led him to a square with darkened buildings and it was easy at that point to spot the Nega-auras given how a seemed to be gathered around a square with the strange crystals. Starting to slink towards them in order to get a closer look, he picked up on a couple of Order auras relatively close by - not to say that they were the only Order auras he could sense but the two, one of which seemed to that of a Super Senshi seemed to be the closest to his own position and so Liryn changed direction and headed that way.
Heading in the direction of the auras meant having to go a little way away from the square with the crystals and gathered Nega-auras, but after a little bit of half trotting Liryn ended up at the base of a building with the two auras coming from directly above, he could hear voices from up there too.
Being a kitty and not exactly super-jumper kitty meant he couldn't exactly jump up there with the two and so Liryn settled for the next best thing and after tilting his purplish eyes upwards started mewing, whilst hoping that one or both of the two on the roof would take the hint and look down

"I won't mind a little fun and games," Astarte offered, stepping toward Gunn. Afterward she gestured flippantly toward the deep laceration across her chest. It burned with the fury of the nine levels of hell, but adrenaline lent its own mitigation to the wound. "I'd say this little trinket is evidence enough. If you think they've got something to do with the power going out, I'm all in. They owe me a spot of tea, you know." And air conditioning.
As she half-turned to regard the slowly-growing assembly of senshi and knights, she flashed a smile at one familiar Mirror senshi. "Canopus. Good to see you, doll. Remember that youma we dusted together? Imagine what we could do to a couple bum Negaversers down there. Join the fun, will you?" The remainder of the senshi, however, she could not make such appeals to. The majority stood as strangers - damn near all of them, in fact.
"If we take your idea that this little jig is just another distraction, then what could they possibly be distracting us from? Surely they're not going to detonate half the city or something so extreme. Little comic book, that." Could this be another distraction? As far as I've known, Negaverse agents often went out expressly to gather energy, for whatever purpose they've got. Unless that was a distraction all this time... What is it they're planning, then? Confound it all, Canopus, you've got me suspicious now.
And the recognition between one of their number and one of the enemy didn't help much either. The hell was going on here?

"Um, can't we focus on one group at a time? They're far enough apart, maybe..." Leda began, but soon trailed off when she realized that tactical strikes were far beyond the scope of her ability to coordinate. "Um, I'll come with you, Id-" Cut off and wide-eyed, Leda watched the normally meek senshi stand forward and unleash an arrow down toward the crystal below. Was that such a good idea? Sneak attacks were good right? But now they're standing around with a fat target across their foreheads... Leda didn't like this.
She didn't like this at all.
"Oh," she called nervously, gathering her skirts into handfuls. "I can't hit them from here. I have to get closer." Here's hoping nothing really bad happens... Like I miss, or I hit a civilian, or someone stabs me... Oh this isn't a good idea, Leda. Without waiting for her self-doubt to talk her out of her motions, while similarly calling on the pep talks given long ago by Nemesis and Maia, she leapt down from the building and directly into the plaza. Her heels offered a strangely familiar clack as they struck the cobblestone pattern below, and for a moment Leda felt wholly surprised that she wasn't simply charged upon for getting off the building.
Afterward she looked up toward the group of senshi still amassed on the roof. "Um, are we ready?" Her gaze didn't linger long - green eyes darted toward the enemy once more, where she caught sight of a familiar monstrosity. Her eyes narrowed through hurt and betrayal. "Persephone," she whispered to herself.
Suddenly she knew her target crystal.

With the department store a lost cause and the hostage situation scattered into the night, there was little point in lingering around the area. Crippled though the city might be by the power outage, Ganymede expected personnel would be set in to deal with the charred remains of the store soon enough, and she didn't care to be anywhere nearby when that happened. She felt a brief concern for those hostages still in the Negaverse's grasp, though at this point she was fairly certain they hadn't truly been Senshi, but even that passed quickly.
They hadn't killed any of the hostages as far as she'd seen. The one girl Buddingtonite had used was still alive, and the rest seemed to have scattered in the retreat—perhaps to safety, or perhaps they'd never really been hostages at all.
In any case, the collection of Chaos signatures was difficult to ignore when one was as well practiced in sensing them as Ganymede had become in her three and a half years. As soon as the department store was behind her she steered her motions in the direction from which the auras originated, sensing the kinder, more familiar aura or other Order signatures heading in the same direction. She felt slightly winded from the use of her attack, as well as the quick sprint to the department store and now her active run over the rooftops on her way away from it, but that anxiety-ridden keyed-up sensation she'd been battling for a majority of the evening remained. The rush of adrenaline remained swift. It urged her forward and, unknown to her, issued strange fluctuations in her own aura.
Had she been aware of it she may have fallen back, left this matter to her allies that were likely more capable of handling it, wary as she always was of drawing too much unwanted attention to herself.
Buddingtonite was one thing; she'd handled him before, knew she could handle him again if she had to. She had history there, and leverage on him. But the rest of them... she generally knew better than to engage head-on.
So with Valhalla clambering around behind her, weighed down a bit by all that silly—though admittedly useful—knight armor, Ganymede approached a small group of familiar Order faces that had already gathered at the scene, jumping to gracefully land amidst them as if she'd been there the whole time. Leda, a red-head she thought might be Gunn, and Ida. She arrived just as Ida darted forth to issue an attack.
“Three Generals, two corrupted Eternals, a couple of Captains, but most of them are Lieutenants and base level Senshi,” she announced without ceremony, rambling rapidly, though with Leda moving forward as well most of it ended up being directed toward Gunn. “I saw them from the rooftops. Feel them just as well. There's more of us on the way. You think a straight up charge for the crystals is the best way to go? What if we wait for the others and split up, take on a group each? I've got one good attack left in me before I'm out. Figure I should make it worth it. Anyone have any ideas on who should be the lucky Nega?”
Quote:
OOC Note: As in the previous Tier, Ganymede's aura currently feels a little weird. Not any stronger, but particularly pure. It isn't completely obvious if you've never sensed it before or aren't very good at differentiating auras, but anyone is welcome to sense it or react to it if they'd like to! It's particularly attractive to youma! Additionally, if anyone would like to take a stab at draining some of her energy, toss me a quote, a PM, or poke me on AIM! <3
Empressite managed, somehow, to make her way to the second meeting spot. Her ankle was throbbing, even through the pain killers and the splint, but she made it. She only hoped that this part of the operation went differently than the last. She really wasn't feeling up to confrontation. But energy draining? That she could do. And in fact, there was a civilian right there. Perhaps bringing a 'gift' of energy harvested on her way might improve the impression on her superior... one called Persephone.
God, how she wished orders came with pictures for those of whom had never met them before. She was seriously going to start bringing a camera and taking pictures of everyone and starting a file of information on each.... But that was a thought for another time Now, she should be focusing on harvesting energy and getting it to her superior.
And speaking of harvesting energy, there was a likely target. A civilian just standing there, completely oblivious to everything going on around them. Just asking to have something terrible happen to them. Not that she was particularly terrible. After all, all she wanted was to steal a little bit of energy. It's not like it would kill them. Moving out of the darker shadows she had been using as a cloak or shield from most eyes, she walked up behind the oblivious older woman and reached out a hand, stopping just shy of actually touching her and concentrated, pulling forth some of her energy. Energy collected, she continued hobbling along cradling the ball of energy like the precious thing it was.

Two Eternals had suddenly become a whole lot more than that, and Astrophyllite turned to Kerberos in alarm. (Still no word from Aurostibite - was he even following them?) "There's too many," she said, trying to count signatures and failing - her mind's eye was too busy, and they all blurred together. Sulphur and flowers and fresh dirt and burnt marshmallow and pure, refined sugar, so strong that she had to open her mouth and wipe her tongue on her sleeve to see if it would make the taste go away - it didn't.
She dipped her energy crystal, draining from a civilian as she and her senshi companion hurried past. "Avalon said to take them," she said uncertainly, trying again to count the senshi. There had to be at least six of them massing, maybe more. Astrophyllite wanted to be good. She wanted to win and to make Avalon proud of her and she wanted a good report sent back to Bischofite so that he'd stop looking at her as a burden-
Astrophyllite did not want to die tonight, but she had her orders. She peeled the energy sphere off her crystal and tossed it back to Avalon with a shout of, "Catch!"
One of the senshi (the flowery-tasting one? It was hard to tell, now that so many of them had massed) shot an arrow towards the transformer. Astrophyllite was not smart, but she had enough worldly experience to know that would cause an explosion and end their whole escapade rather quickly.
Ouija board held high, the lieutenant leapt, intercepting the arrow with her weapon. She didn't know what she'd been expecting it to do, but it exploded, and the resultant blast sent her tumbling backwards in a backflip an olympic diver would have been proud of.
The ground, unfortunately, was not proud of her, and was very quick to object to her making contact with it by ripping holes in the elbows of her coat and scraping up her arms. "Ow!" exclaimed Astrophyllite, followed very quickly by, "I'm okay!" as she scrambled to her feet.
Mintaka was a bit slower following after the chaos signatures, mostly because she had lost Pen and Chariklo, two she had hoped to join in a way to figure out what was going on. Hostages had turned out to not be hostages, and this was another ploy from the negaverse to what? Destroy the Dark Court? Destroy a faction of the order court? Or something bigger?
She had no idea.
In particular, she noticed a chaos signature close to her, moving to it's location. She should engage, her mind told her. Maybe talk the negaverser out of what ever they were doing. Yes. Sound plan. She hoped she didn't die.
"Hey!" She called out to the form, and noticing the closer she got, the more she recognized it. "Hey, you should-.....Aurostibite?!?!?"

The darkness wasn't particurally hard to hunt, in this case. Almost all of the auras, Order and Chaos alike, had seemed to be floating in this direction. Cybele arrived just in time to see the first attack fly across the plaza. She had paused in a pretty well hidden alleyway to get a better look at the situation, which was pretty confusing. This was the power plant, she was pretty sure, and some strange crystals seemed to be hooked up to it, so this was probabally what had happened to the electricity... but why?
"Cora?" she whispered to the cat in her arms. Since they'd been traveling at full speed, they hadn't managed much more than basic introductions on the way over. Now, they could maybe talk a little. "Do you think you can get somewhere safe? This doesn't look good..." The Negaverse's intentions didn't matter too much. This was definingly going to be another fight. "I think... I'm going to have to fight soon." Usually she didn't hesitate even this much about charging into battle, but she was still pretty shaken from jumping off the roof and not quite ready to risk her life again. Plus, she was genuinely concerned about Cora's saftey.
Athene hadn't gotten very far from the scene of the blazing department store when his senshi phone suddenly pinged. He kept moving as he pulled it out, noting as he opened it up that the message was from Ida and then he read the contents and frowned. He turned to look at Shangri-La "My team mate Ida just messaged me" he explained even as he started shifting direction. "Looks like the Negaverse were up to more than targeting civilians by that department store. Ida says that they're draining the power plant."
His pace had been brisk to start with, but as he spoke he shifted to a flat out a run, the satchel he was wearing slapping against his side "And I have a feeling that that's prob'ly the reason why the power's out." As he ran Athene kept his senshi phone out, Ida had asked him and Tsui to pass the word on and even though he wasn't the greatest at typing on the move Athene was going to do his best to pass the word along.
The message he typed was briefer than his usual messages, but pretty much all he could type whilst running.
message 1
Negaverse officers are draining the power plant, need help to stop them.
And then hitting send Athene sent the message to his phone's contact list and then he typed up another short message this time sending it to just Ida and Tsui.
message 2
Got your message. On my way, have Shangri-La with me.
He hit send and then realised that Ida and Tsui might not know who Shangri-La was, but it was too late - typing two messages on the move at speed had been hard enough - Athene wasn't going to try for a third.
It was easy to tell that they were heading in the right direction as Athene started to pick up on the mixture of Nega-auras all clustered together, some strong ones amongst the mix and then he reached the source of the auras, his feet slowing until he eventually came to a halt by a building looking onto the plaza area and spotted spotted the crystals near the fountain and the Nega-officers clustered by them. Then he spotted a familiar magic arrow from further up from where he was standing wing its way towards one of the crystal, managing to get out "That's Ida's magic" before one of the gathered Nega-officers, a pink-haired officer with what looked like some sort of board (Astrophyllite), blocked the arrow by pretty much walking into it.
He looked up at Shangri-La "I think those may be the source of the blackout" he said. "But we'll need some sort of plan if we're to get to them." Especially given that it looked like getting to them would mean having to go through the gathered Nega-officers. "And we might want to join up with the others here" focusing he could sense more than one Order aura about.

More and more Order auras poured into the area, and Avalon sighed. If she weren't so sure she could do this--and she would do it, Avalon had ways--she'd be getting nervous. Okay, maybe she was a little nervous. She didn't want Babylon to show up, or any of them that knew her from before. That'd just be too unsettling. She reached out to snag Kaydrelite's energy orb from the air and feed it to her crystal, which certainly looked a lot brighter than she had expected it to be this soon into the game. Astrophyllite, she decided, was going to get a ******** hug after all this, maybe. In private. Not that kind of hug, though. Just a wow, look at you taking one for the team hug. That fall looked like it hurt.
"Come back," she ordered her team. The first-level Lieutenants and the little senshi did not need to be picking fights so far from home. "Grab as much energy as you can and then close ranks around me and Jarosite." Because with the way they were massing, and the arrows shot by one of the Eternals, Avalon thought she wanted as many meat shields as she could gather.
Seriously, could she have done any worse? The energy orb she had collected was more than pathetic. She had handed off her meager orb to the team leader, and seeing all the order auras around hurried into the shadows in an attempt to stay unnoticed as she sought out other targets to drain.
It was not as easy as it seemed, the whole injured and still walking around and participating in activity that would like end up leaving her on bed rest until the damned wounds healed... but perhaps she could use said injuries to her advantage... surely there were those so-called good samaritans who would be willing to help out a poor injured soul. It would be a wonderful ruse, requiring little in the way of charm. They would practically be handing her their energy, if she could manage a decent drain.
She winced at the thought of how pathetic she had been so far. Serpentine would surely be disappointed in her fighting abilities - and she foresaw many bruises and injuries coming her way from training. Perhaps he or someone else might be willing to help her improve her energy-draining skills as well... though it would be embarrassing to ask...
Out on the fringes of the fighting going on here, Empressite noticed a few civilians hanging around. Perhaps one of them might make a useful target.
She hobbled out of the shadows of the alley towards a kindly looking gentleman. Who immediately saw the effort her actions took and moved to help her. With a false smile on her lips, Empressite placed a hand on his outstretched arm and focused on pulling some of the vibrant energy she could feel.
The energy seemed to flow from him into her palms. Easy, effortless, like a pet answering the call of their mistress. Why couldn't it always be so simple? With some vague words - she didn't know exactly what is was she said but it seemed to appease him, and allowed her to slip away, returning to her squad leader. Though this time her burden was actually worth handing off.
It was still dark out, which made travel feel even more clandestine. It also made it tricky -- resulting in more stumbles that the dark-skinned lieutenant was willing to admit. Still, since the Negaverse knew the location in advance, it was at least easier for her to make it there than it would be for the senshi. Kyanite only hoped it hadn't been too hard on Empressite and her ankle. They were even assigned to the same team leader, which made her feel a little better.
Once she arrived, Kyanite quickly made her way over to the corrupt eternal, Persephone, would be heading up her group. "Checking in," she said, hands a little shaky. She already knew her role: drain energy. In fact, she had done a little bit of advance work, taking a page from Empressite. On her way to the site, she had stumbled across a homeless man asleep on the street. He didn't even blink as she passed the energy orb over. It was a decent size, at least!
"I'll get more where that came from!" she said to Persephone. Did she sound dependable? She sure hoped so, especially after her utter failure at the previous site.
A senshi seemed to be communicating pleasantly with Persephone -- some tiger girl. Kyanite felt her hackles rise, but since her leader didn't seem phased, she tried to play it cool. Hey, sometimes senshi wanted to be corrupted, right? Maybe this was a future recruit?
Purple eyes shifted between the two... and then she awkwardly jogged off into the distance, calling, "I'll keep working then?" over her shoulder.

"Sure," said Gunn. But there were more Negaversers this time, more Generals, and high-rank corrupted senshi, and two Eternals, a Super, a base-level senshi, and--oh. That blonde was probably Ganymede. Gunn hadn't ever really interacted with Ganymede before, except as far as she'd talked to Tallulah about her, and then there was a knight following her too… "To be honest, it looks like their higher-ranking officers are hanging back. I haven't seen any of them move more than three feet away from those crystals." And she'd been watching. The green-clad one had gone maybe four, five feet forward to catch a pitched ball of light, but she'd gone right back to her Crystal. The green-haired one (Persephone) simply continued to be a disgusting waste of White Moon power and ability by her own crystal.
"It'd be easier to pick off their more mobile members one at a time. You can get them alone, and--" She looked at the groups assembled, then to Ganymede. "What the ******** wrong with your aura?" It was weird enough that Gunn, who had literally less than no ability to really differentiate auras, had noticed it--only because of the proximity of Ida, whose aura was blissfully normal… ish. "Whatever. It doesn't matter. We'll talk about it later. The green one--" maybe Avalon? "--that general's got her Lieutenants all spread out. I don't know if she'll move to intervene if someone gets attacked, but… I'm going to try for the orange one. With the ruff." She looked over her shoulder to Ganymede, and said, "If you think you can take one on your own, go for it. Otherwise, you're welcome to back me up."
With that, she dropped back to street level and sprinted for Kaydrelite.

Avalon could hardly miss the movement of one of the Eternal signatures. "Jarosite," she said, "Move to intercept, please, we don't want to lose any of our baby Lieutenants."
