Well that sure was an experience. Didero tried not to think too much about what happened last night. He should have anticipated such rough treatment from a primarily lowblooded town.
Didero had more important matters to concern himself with. Specifically, filling these tiny cups with water and hemming the edges of these tiny towels. His gerbils had a plain old water bottle back home, but from what Didero had seen of troll marathons, paper cups seemed more appropriate for the occasion. The towels, if nothing else, were cute. Did gerbils even sweat? Didero figured if the gerbils couldn't figure out the cups, they could at least use the towels to dry off.
Didero accidentally poked himself with his needle and yelped.

Back again! Sinter gave a shy nod to the employee behind the counter at the gym. Immediately after, he set off to go set his gerbils on the wheel again. Maybe they'd have better luck tonight.

After last night, Sinter's gerbils seemed to have gotten the hang of running without letting the wheel get the better of them. Sinter was impressed.

If they could run this well on a spinning wheel, a static track should be pretty easy, Sinter figured.
EDIT: Well with that mindset, his gerbils' immediate and simultaneous trip-up was a little less tragic. Sinter scooped them both up and hurried to make sure they weren't concussed.

My volunteering total: 4+?
No way Nervit was going to do the digging. Admittedly it was a proper, lowblooded thing to do, but the thing was, well…Nervit wasn’t very strong, and she was wearing quite warm clothing – she’d get sweaty and gross and dirty – which just, just, no! And um, decorating the cages seemed a bit counterproductive? What if the gerbils ate the decorations and got sick or choked and died! Plus you know, she was a ltitle shy about putting her own creative work out there – not like some of the other participants who had flocked to the glue and the glitter. So instead nervit made tiny cups of drink and picked up tiny towels.

My volunteering total: 3
Vitula sat down on a nearby bench reflecting the work he had done last night. He felt bad that most of the trolls hives he went to slammed the door in his face. Though he never got discouraged from this, and was able to pass out the rest of flyers he had been given. When he returned to the event ground he quickly went to one of the event organizers to ask what else there needed to be doing. He listened carefully to each of the options he was given. From all the ones listed he knew only two were possible from him to do. Carving out the tracks for the gerbil race sounded like one of the most important tasks needing to be done, it was to bad Vitual had a thing about getting dirty and such. He decided that setting up cups and towels would be the next best things. While it would be nice for the gerbils to have a trailer with a star to make them feel welcomed, keeping them refreshed and healthy during the race seemed to be a top priority.

Quick addition: I added a grand total section to the code for the dailies to help keep track of your gerbcurrency!

^ Your totals from each event are not separate from each other, and you're welcome to purchase snacks/corporate sponsorships at any point! They will be available to purchase all event, but sponsorship sign-ups will close on Friday.
(example: 10 gerbcurrency from cyoa, 10 gerbcurrency from training, 4 gerbcurrency from the ORP = 24 total gerbcurrency!

purchase corporate sponsorship, 1 gerbsnack = 24 - 15 = 9 total gerbcurrency!)

There were three options again, but Dictys went for what was tried and true. Also, it required the least supervision: all ey had to do was wait by the tubes' exit. Drop, pickup, done.

Well, Dictys would never. It was such a pity that Chittentown lacked actual social hotspots. How did lowbloods party? Where did they watch large projection films? How did they enjoy high-definition television? Could they watch sports or - or, Dictys didn't know, high-profile FLARP matches in peace like this? How did people network, or climb social ladders?
Dictys picked up the next task from the event organizer with a little highblooded pout. At least ey knew exactly what preparing for a race meant: pampering. How would a gerbil be able to perform well without a proper bath, and sleep, and being well-fed? Ey started by ordering gerbil baths, of course, and then...it was to eir own supply of gilded little baubles, now. For what would a star athlete want other than to be surrounded by beautiful people and beautiful things?

I chose option: #3
Volunteering wasn't normally Lunear's thing. In fact it was like his anti-thing, his not thing. He preferred to be paid in hold hard chitinous beetles for his work. But in this case... His little 'pets' or 'minions' or 'followers' or 'Things he kind of adopted and had grown fond of and would not admited it but secretly really did like'? They did deserve some of his precious time. Plus losing was out. And getting them treated as anything less than fabulous? One was perfect, the other doubly so. They deserved to be seen as just what they were: Amazing resilient multi-limbed cute rodents that could zig zag and dash their way into any troll's blood pumper.
Going and helping set up a trailer, sure to be seen by many trolls of low and high blood alike was right up Lunear's alley, and, it was also a double win.
He wouldn't have to risk hurting himself digging.

He wasn't sure exactly how tubes worked. Marian and Gabiel were kind of confused at first but seemed to...enjoy it? It was hard to say. Mostly Lunear just wondered why they kept going around and stopping just to wiggle backwards on occasion.

Vremea was so content what she had done turned out to be a great success!! Even though it was slightly annoying. She was glad she didn't live in the city, but from what she heard, that flooding problem was a mess! She remembered, walking on the way to work, seeing thousands of her posters all over the place. A small sense of accomplishment slid through her as she stared at what she had done, but she felt slightly bad-- She was contributing to the dirty, polluted streets of Chittentown...
Oh well. She guessed it did not matter now. She eyed the options for the second round of volunteering, and walked over to the area-- of course, the gerbils needed their own little pedestals! They needed to look fabulous to the others-- Needed to walk around with a certain style and pizazz to them, otherwise it would all be for naught! Looking from side to side as she worked on her own, Vremea eyed the nearest troll before wincing and deciding to look away pointedly. Ohgodhighbloodthey'dkillherthey'dkillherAAAAAa just don't pay attention to them Vremmy you can do this yes yes yes....

DAY 3 OF RACE PREPARATION!
New tasks have been posted for volunteers, and gerbils are refreshed and ready to train! Additionally, there is BRAND NEW NUMMCORP TRAINING EQUIPMENT IN THE GYM!
WHEEL OF FIRE: Each roll begins to accumulate a combo score that increases with every reroll. The first roll gets 1 extra gerbcurrency, the second gets 2 extra gerb currency, etc. Cap on the combo is 4 extra gerbcurrency per roll.
SUPERBALL: Roll 3d6!
KRAZY TUBEZ: If a 20 is rolled, 20 gerbcurrency is gained!
