Otto slowly blinked. Molly... Molly was... just... how..
"Y... you know.. that people don't always use their own picture... right? I mean.. Dwight isn't a pair of boobs, and Jan isn't really a cat either.." Was he blowing her mind right now? Was she really that simple?

“But…the eagle…and…freedom and…America.” It just happened to click really well for Molly in that case…
Still, she was red now with embarrassment.

Otto was dumbstruck. Until finally it gave way. Molly was just so taken aback by something so simple. To think she had assumed that Otto regularly talked to and hung out with an eagle...
"Wow.." He snorted, smirking. "Just wow, Molly. You do know eagles don't talk or use Twitter, right?"

"But that's what made it so amazing!" Molly exclaimed, staring at Otto with wide eyes. "I thought America was an eagle who could talk and use the Twitters! Special little...eagle keys so she could type!" Molly's mind was blown right now...from the truth.
"I mean...we're on an island in the Bermuda Triangle with portals that can take us anywhere in the world and be back in time for dinner and mythological weapons from the movies and mini-pets like unicorns and flying cats!" She sighed deeply.
"I didn't think a talking eagle wasn't possible." Molly had a dazed look as she stared at the tentacles far off in the distance.

Oh no. She was disappointed. It was funny and sad all at once. "Aw, c'mon Molly. Just cuz she ain't an eagle, you don't gotta be all sad n' stuff. She's damn cool as a human too."

"OH, I'M SORRY!" She cried, looking horrified now. "I'm not sad!" Well okay, maybe a little, but she wouldn't say that out loud. "I'm sure she's wonderful!" Molly insisted. "She was really nice and polite over the Twitters!" The trainee wrung her hands a bit before she lowered them to clasp them over her stomach.
"...Is...she a friend of yours?"

Molly was therapeutic to be around.
"Yeah." He answered, rubbing his neck as his gaze drifted off elsewhere. "I mostly know her through Kostya. You'd probably like her." Molly liked everyone. "She's a little weird though. She's putting together some kinda singles database so she can help people hook up."

Molly smiled. “That’s good! I’m really glad to hear that!” It made her happy that Otto had friends. She was about to comment that she probably wasn’t weird, but then Otto told her what America was up to, and she nodded her head. “Oh! That sounds wonderful!” Seems America was a go getter! “Such good and motivated friends you have!” She then resumed walking, idly thinking.

Of course she would think it was wonderful. Otto thought it was intrusive and weird. Then again, he was a private kind of person. She was right about America though. She was indeed a go-getter. She'd helped him sort out his feelings on his future somehow, even though all he'd wanted to do was break stuff.
"I have a lot of good friends..." And some not so great ones.
Which made him think of Maebe. He'd done something with her, and somehow, he felt no guilt over it. He felt odd, and out of sorts. But not guilt. It wasn't cheating on Nevada's memory, but he worried for his morals if he'd let himself get so heavy with a girl he didn't even like so soon after his girl had died.
It didn't feel like something he ought to bring up with Molly of all people.

Molly looked over at Otto and smiled. “I’m glad.” It was these people, she thought, that would help Otto out through this tough time. It was sad to lose someone you cared about…but other people kept her going…and maybe it was other people that’d help Otto carry on. It wouldn’t take the pain or sadness away, but it’d help…right?
It was weird for her to think she wouldn’t see Nevada again. She wondered if she felt any better about how others perceived her after their talk…she hoped she did. Rest her soul.
