magnadearel He gave a chuckle and nodded. "Yup." M'bad wasn't about to mention that he'd looked for an egg himself. "It's kind of hard not to hear that gold squawking isn't it? I haven't seen anyone else looking in here." He wondered how many eggs might have been hidden in here after all. It was a dangerous spot to eggs that needed warmth. "M'bad of Blue Rievegeth. Not rude if you don't know someone's name. Good luck in your search Hineni. Do you have a flit yet?" The girl stifled a titter behind her hand. "No kidding. She's certainly getting her point across." Hineni blinked. "Huh. Really?" She looked around. Well, Ista was certainly a large enough place, people were bound to be looking though perhaps not so here. A little smile was offered up to the rider. "Nice to meet you, M'bad." At the question posed of her, the candidate shook head. "No. Flits weren't allowed in our house. My grandparents thought they were pests and filthy." Toeing the ground, she bobbed her shoulders. "I've always thought they were cute and seem really useful. My master in Crom had a couple. They were really very nice and sweet." After another shrug, Hineni crouched down to look under the chairs nearest her. "I wouldn't mind one, though I may have to ask someone on how to take care them properly. If I do get one someday, I'd want to make sure I treat them well."

Rowan continued to look, but neither he nor Nimbus were having much luck. How many places were there to hide here? Maybe there weren't any more eggs after all.

Z'fer had hardly put any effort into the task, but it honestly wasn't perking his interest much. If anything, he wanted to find an egg just to show that that girl was nothing special.

"I hope they find her eggs soon so she stops." Not that he was really bothered by it. "A pleasure." Flits not allowed? Well there was always someone who was complaining about the creatures. "Good luck getting one."

There probably weren't any eggs. That weyrling had just planted the one she found to fool them all and he was getting caught up in it.

Hineni gasped upon spying the zigzaggy shelled egg. Carefully reaching under the chair she withdrew the egg, cupping it in her hand. "Oh! Oh. Here's one." Running her thumb lightly over the shell, she looked back up M'bad. The girl chuckled . "Thank you. I gotta go find what to do with this. Keep it warm, I know."

Rowan turned to the other man and shrugged. He called Nimbus to his shoulder with a sign and a mental command. He was giving up. Maybe there were other eggs hidden here, but since they had no way of knowing, they could look for hours and still not find anything. He wished him luck, though.

What?! Someone else had found one? Well shaff! Z'fer looked a little harder iritated now at both girls and at Iacauth who was chucking at him from a distance.

M'bad had to chuckle to himself. The girl had lucked out and found one. He nodded as she excused herself. "Of course, I'm sure the mother will be happy to have it back."

At least now a couple people had left and Z'fer could look a little more thoroughly without people watching him. What's got you so grumpy mine? You aren't usually so anti-social?
I'm not being anti-social. If I was I'd be hiding in our weyr. Z'fer grouched back.
Uh huh. Sure. You're being anti-social. It's unflattering.
Oh shaff off. Z'fer felt a wave of cold trickle from the top of his skull down. Oh great. She was now giving him the cold shoulder. Delightful. At that moment he saw an egg nestled in one of the hearths. Half hidden by a coat of grey ash, the tiny egg was only noticably by the obnoxiously loud pattern of paint. Were people taking these somewhere? He wanted to keep it for himself at this point even if it was tiny.
If people were taking them somewhere though, he might have a chance at a larger one instead.

Since Nimbus seemed hell-bent on finding these eggs, Rowan went ahead and told him to keep looking. He himself flopped down in one of the chairs, already exhausted.

Nimbus flew up to the ceiling, watching the room from above for anywhere an egg was likely to hide.
