Waffles. Made sense, Evan mused as he retrieved his coat and scarf, holding them rather than putting them on. She seemed like the type who might enjoy dripping the batter into all of those tiny little holes. He would put money on her going so far as to get them all even, too.

"Peanut butter and sausage, almost definitely," he replied as he held the door open for her. "Pecans, maybe--there are a bunch of people around here who bake, and they may have left some in the kitchen. Otherwise, that kind of stuff you're best off buying once you get some leave, and hiding it if you're not using it." Then, it hit him. "Peanut butter and pecans? Like, together?"

Evan wrinkled his nose in mild disgust at the mere thought. Maybe it was some British thing--they had all those weird foods, didn't they? Still, if she felt like making it, he wouldn't judge her too much. It would be nice to have someone to cook with, instead of just for.

"They didn't tell you about any of that?" Evan asked as he moved around the kitchen, collecting the flour, eggs, and milk. "You, sit," he ordered, pulling bowls out of cabinets that he could find blindfolded. "I'll mix this...stuff together and tell you all you need to know about the benefits of joining this outfit."
