Oh, how Buddingtonite loved getting such attention. He craved it, like the alcoholic craved the liquor or the addict needed the hit. To Buddingtonite, this was his drug, and with the medical care, as unprofessional as it may have been and how the cloth may have clashed against his red lining, Buddingtonite was getting his fix for the moment. There was so much that Buddingtonite wanted to say to Azurite and maybe if he hadn't have been in the position he was in, he would have worked his charm on the senshi. She was beautiful and far more valuable than she or anyone else gave her credit for, and he would have truly loved to have told her that. But it wasn't just Turquoise's arrival and the fear that he'd trigger more drama during such a setting, but the fact that this little act of theirs had already done so.
Zinkenite's word and tone were like cold, pointed daggers being jabbed into him again, and Buddingtonite physically recoiled from them as though he were physically struck. That meant that Zinkenite did bring Turquoise here and that she would be punished, and that frightened him more than anything else the General-King had subjected him to thus far. She had done nothing wrong except tag along and had everything gone his way, the two of them would have simply sat back and observed. And he would have gladly explained that to him, but his throat clenched and he couldn't speak. He could feel bile threatening to come out, and finally, finally, he wised up and held his tongue, only when his words might have actually been useful for once. He didn't want to abide, until he was certain that Turquoise was safe, but now he simply had no choice. He pulled himself away from the two ladies with the intention of approaching Zinkenite and talking to him, but he managed a single step before falling into a half kneel, half crouch. He could only hope that the way he presented himself could come off as an obedient bow as he focused all of his attention on Zinkenite's words and not decorating the floor with bile.
'She didn't do anything.' He thought to himself, looking up at the General-King as he carried out his punishments to the rest of the assembly. He did not mean to think little of Aklaid's punishment, but his mind refused to let him think of anyone else but Turquoise. What would Zinkenite do to her? Was the punishment truly for her, or was it an added mark against him? 'Punish me for giving the order, not her...'
Yet, as single-minded as he had become in his pain and anxieties over Turquoise's impending punishment, he could not ignore Wolframite's fate. Even now, he held little anger against the one-eyed general for what he had done and he suspected that he had been suffering, long before Zinkenite had turned his full attention to him. This was part of the punishment, leaving him for last, and as pained as he was, Buddingtonite did feel his heart weep for the poor general... or, lieutenant now. He watched as for a second time, an officer was drained of their gift and reduced before his very eyes, but unlike the last time, there was no pleasure or sense of joy beating within his heart at the sight. No, there was anger, rage... dizziness. Maybe Wolframite deserved this, but Buddingtonite's resources were spent. If he had any scrap of strength left, it would be spent on Turquoise' defense...
'Sorry, Wolfy...
Which now brought the last phase of this ordeal, and Buddingtonite wasn't sure what to make of Turquoise's punishment. She was to work alongside the newly demoted Wolframite and make their reports... perhaps it was the blood loss and overwhelming sense of agony, but that wasn't too bad. Buddingtonite couldn't stop the relieved smile from stretching across his face, even when it almost sent him crashing down. Hopefully there would be no pain for her... it would mean being separated from her for the time being, but better than than luring her into danger again. At least that's what he told himself.
He was also telling himself to stay awake a little while longer as to not scare poor Azurite or Turquoise, but that... wasn't working out too well.

So, he was alive. What a relief.
There was a silent sigh and there was a small smile but those were present only for a moment before he asked his question. What she was doing here? Why was she here? She wasn't sure. Her guess was the same reason as anyone here. To receive punishment. But why she hadn't been here from the start? Only the General-King knew the answer.
Her attention turned to the corrupted senshi as she spoke. He had defended her? Why? Why did he got in trouble for her? Somehow, it felt in a way.... painful. She wasn't sure why but it did felt like it. And that made the lieutenant feel rather uncomfortable. Her fussing over him didn't help her feeling better either. Neither did the comment about wrist, it was almost like lecturing.... For a moment she just watched them, the white-haired corrupted senshi tending and fussing over him and he accepting it, even enjoying it. What about me? Don't I mean anything to you?
Oh, how badly she wanted to separate them, tell her to stop and take her place as his main attention. But she knew that if she would say anything it might turn against her. He might get upset to her and that wasn't what she wanted it to happen.
In a way, Zinkenite's interuption was like an answer to her prayers.
She turned her attention to the General-King, ready to listen him... But suddenly her attention was drawn to Buddingtonite who fell down. And when he did go down, so did she. She didn't say anything, just moved her arms to support him and tried to pay attention to the General-King and punishments he gave while making sure her general's condition was not getting any worse.
To her, Alkaid's punishment was understandable and fair. She didn't know what other punishments were but to her, that wasn't so bad. And it gave her some hope. Maybe her punishment wouldn't be so bad either.
Wolframite's punishment, however, was something she hadn't expected. She didn't even know such thing was possible! It looked painful and while she felt sorry for him, she was also glad she wasn't in his shoes. For a moment she watched his new form, his new rank. He was equal to him now.... No, she decided. Even though his energy signature might be weaker and uniform changed, he was still a general in her eyes.
And then, the General-King addressed her and handed out her punishment. Which was, in all honesty, such a relief. She had expected worse, she had seen worse in this room. "Understood, sir," she said from the floor-level, next to Buddingtonite.
And when it seemed Zinkenite's attention was elsewhere, she turned her own attention to the red-headed general. He looked oddly happy, silently Turquoise wondered where did that smile came from. Was he actually glad she was here, beside him? He also looked tired, ready to pass out. But that couldn't do, not until they were in the hospital.
As an instinct, her fingers moved a little, giving him a light stroke. She pondered what could she do to keep him awake. He needed something to think about, preferably something he could talk about. Something pleasant....
"I could bring something for you to the hospital," she mused aloud after a moment. "What would you like?"

Azurite flinched when Zinkenite addressed her again, shrinking against Buddingtonite before he ultimately slipped from her grasp.. She had to cover her mouth to quiet the alarmed noise that threatened to spew out of it when the General suddenly fell. And she found herself beginning to move before her gaze flew to Zinkenite again and she went rigid. She wouldn't move. Not this time. Despite how much she wanted too. --- Lellouch had fallen silent, just watching the General King interact with everyone else. She wanted to rub at her neck, her chest, and all the abused parts of her body and work out the kinks and twisted muscles in it. But there was some small part of her that knew doing so was more trouble then it was worth right now. She just wanted this to be over with as quickly as possible, she had loose ends to tie up after all... So instead, she'd be quiet. Her eyes flickered back and forth between Zinkenite and Wolframite as they spoke and she had to blink a few times before cringing when the General was suddenly demoted. Ouch... That had to suck. When it was all over and done with, Lellouch pulled her eyes from the newly demoted Lieutenant, lest she get yelled at for something as simple as staring.

It was becoming increasingly difficult for Buddingtonite to keep his eyes open, much less keep himself in that half kneeling position, but if he were to die that that moment, he was certain this would be his finish position. What a strange position to die in, half kneeling, half bowing… completely a bloody mess and utterly broken, though not beyond repair. And yet, as miserable as his existence had been in the last ten minutes, at least Turquoise would be alright and the worst seemed to pass.
For now, anyway. He wished he could have told Azurite that he’d be alright and he made a mental note to thank her for all she had managed to do for him, but he was simply too tired. So tired that he could feel his limbs start to turn to lead, and the only things that kept him up were Turquoise at his side, and his chin resting comfortably on his locked knees.
She asked him a simple question, but even that took great effort. Who the hell would be thinking of food at a time like this?
“... strawberry shortcake…”
Buddingtonite would.endejester And quoting you for good measure. He’s probably done for the evening. XD
