A'zam's fist hurt as much as his face and foot now. Well, not surprising, though, since Bass was a robot and A'zam only had himself as a 'weapon'. Still, he wasn't wanting to give up or give in. Maybe if he irritated the bots enough, they'd just give up and leave? He could hope for that, right? He winces from the new pain in his hand. At least it seemed to help dull the pain in his face and foot.... Getting to a safe place to sleep if he managed to get out of this with the ability to move on his own was going to be a nightmare. He hears Martin whisper a thanks and gives a small nod in return.

"Look... Why don't you go find a robot to harass then and leave this guy alone? Pick on someone who'd be more of a challenge." He hisses between grit teeth at Bass. He'd heard the conversation between Proto and Seven, even if he hadn't acknowledged it yet. In his mind, Bass was the problem now, not Proto, since Proto didn't seem to be doing much else, for the moment at least.

....Well that was -new-. A citizen actually thought to thank him! It was certainly a shock, but now the guy was leaving and...well huh. Proto would just have to think on that one later. He offered the other a snort as he left, but he -did- lower his shield.

This lot wasn't going to try and pull anything on him anyway.

"I don't 'swap out' for spare parts."
There was a message there, he knew. Robots were sturdier than normal Audio was what the little citizen was trying to get across. But Proto took offense to someone saying such a statement..if only they knew the amount of grief he gave Wily whenever the scientist tried to repair him. He preferred self maintenance, alright? But some things he couldn't handle on his own unfortunately and that is where maintenance day came into play. And he hated it. Every. Damn. Moment. Of. It.

"At least -someone- realizes the propaganda for what it really is."
Proto grumbled, gazed shifting over to Bass. Of course, the other was...clearly bored. Bored Bass was not a good thing. And really Proto was not looking for a confrontation to begin with. He had just wanted a nice quiet walk through the city. Was that really too much to ask for?

"No speech, let's just get out of here. I'm tired."
Really he...wasn't tired. Well he -was-, but not to a point where he couldn't keep going. But Bass was an arrogant little s**t and Proto figured he'd never admit he'd rather leave than continue to fight. At least this way the blame could be placed on him.

The General cast a final glance around at the citizens before throwing his cloak back on and walking off.

"Sorry, I just ... sorry," Martin mumbled, aiming the apology more at his feet than at anyone in particular, the tiny remaining bit of bristling defiance draining rapidly out of him. "I didn't want to get in a fight, I just wanted to go home and eat dinner." Which was now well ruined. He'd been minding his own damned business and things had just happened. Wasn't that the way it always was? Maybe he should start actually starting things, since it seemed like he got all tangled up in s**t whether he wanted to or not. He resented it.

He edged out of Proto's way as the bot stalked off. He'd offended the guy, he was pretty sure, but he'd also been threatened over an accident and told he was lazy and no good, and he had all his own share of offended to worry about. He'd already apologized. Twice. If the bots wanted to be offended, they'd be offended anyway. Just like everyone else.

There as still someone who hadn't been an a**, though. Once Proto and Bass had gone, Martin looked to the male who'd defended him and taken extra crap for it. "Thank you," he said apologetically. "It's my fault you got hurt. I'm sorry."

A'zam kept glaring at Bass until he and Proto were gone, then he allows himself to just... drop to the ground to sit, everything hurting at once. When his vision cleared a bit, he saw Martin still there. "It's fine. Not your fault. They started it in the first place. And if it wouldn't have been you, it would have been someone else they'd have started something with." He offers the other his left hand, since his right was still smarting badly from that punch to Bass' face. "I'm A'zam. Sorry your dinner was ruined."

When Proto said that he was ready to go, Bass just shrugged casually and hummed. He would have stuffed his hands in his pockets, but that was the thing with a skin tight suit that was basically your skin. You didn't have pockets. ...At least he didn't think he did. Maybe he could get Wily to put pockets in his cloak.

Bass thought about these things randomly while he ignored the flesh bags that weren't living up to his respect. No, the ones in The City were bad. The bad kind of flesh bags that needed to be eradicated. "Hey, tomorrow night, we should bomb something. Blow them up, yeah? Teach 'em to mess with us."

Nope, he didn't care who actually heard him. He just continued walking off with the other bot.
