Shun glanced at Amrita out of the corner of his good eye. "Should have known, yes. But.. perhaps there some purpose to this madness," he uttered. This didn't seem like a trap laid by the hunters. Maybe Merlin had set this up. Wait, no that didn't seem quite right. The Legacies needed memories, not FEAR. Hearing a little bit of discord behind him, he glanced to Lan and Amrita. "Let's try to avoid killing one another... for now," he mumbled. That wasn't to say that the temptation to try take the fear he needed wasn't there. Especially with all the first year students. Their fear was so weak comparatively. They would never survive this anyw- He quickly cut off that line of thought.

The torches proved to be un-helping, but he did grab one of the torches so he could take it with him. He wasn't sure if he wanted to summon his own fox-fire in this jail room, so he would make due. Remi?Blinking he turned around, a voice he had not heard in ages appearing behind him like a ghost. The torch followed his movements, casting shadows around him. "Pachua...? Is that you?" He walked towards the first voice, ebfore he noticed a second mingled in here as well. Oh good lord. "Amrita is that you too?" He was trying his best to ignore the hunger that was creeping up on him, trying so hard and afraid he would fail. Stamina: 13

"Is there ever a purpose?" She murmured back to Shun, sighing quietly. A lot of the suffering seemed senseless, though she supposed it did have a purpose for something or another, at some point.
"I'm right here, Aisha." Amrita replied, from down the hallway with the trap door. It was good to hear that her fellow Undead was still alive...for now, at least. When she heard her name again, she turned once more. "Over here, Emily~ Sorry about this." She called back, to let this other ghoul know where she was and, if she wanted, to come over. Like before, she resisted the urge to say I told you so - to be fair, she had warned the ghoul that it likely wouldn't be safe.
"Drop it, Lan." Amrita growled next, trying to keep her voice as low as she could to keep their minor clash to themselves. While the Horsewoman's words hit very close to home, she certainly felt that this wasn't the time. Yes this door radiated with a very familiar old energy, and it was also true that the feeling resonated with her very core, which was an odd feeling to be sure - but that was it. The Kingdoms were another world, and were nothing more than the memories of a bad dream. Still, under the line of fire, Amrita straightened, unintentionally standing with a regal pride she didn't know she possessed.
"I'm not here to quarrel about stupid other worlds. I'm only here to get out, with as many others as possible." Her gaze followed the line of shadows that cast over Lan's extended arm, down to her hand. "We're all on equal ground here. No titles, no divisions. Just you, and me, and them. One group." Nobody was better than anyone else. That seemed to be the condition the laid down for Lan, but she reached out to shake the other woman's hand anyway. It was symbolic, at the very least.
She let the woman's hand go, and turned back to try and work the trap door, until, naturally --
"...Remi?" She gasped, followed shortly by a sigh. "I thought you were supposed to be the sensible one..." Wasn't she the one that was supposed to run head first into trouble? Wait...

Even though Aisha had a burning need to care for poor Llyr, he seemed in the capable hands of another ghoul. With the torchlight they were all providing, and the size of the group, things got a fraction better. Just a fraction. She moved back into the hall, towards Amrita who had responded to her call and apparently was quite popular judging by the people gathered around her. Perhaps she was an upper classman or student council person? So many bodies. So much FEAR. The zombie moved away, afraid of what she could do, what she'd be moved to do with the gnawing hunger and so many FEAR filled students. She swooned momentarily as the sickness of hunger hit her like it had in the cell. "I feel like.." her voice came in a cracked whisper to anyone who could listen. "like I'm about to die." "Command not, unless you feel you have the authority to lead." She said, looking at the undead woman. Amrita was someone, perhaps one of the few Lan would hold distaste yet a level of respect for. A halloweener who had proved herself, dream or no, willing to match Lan's own will, who was willing to lead and wanting to lead. The hand taken, Lan gave it a small squeeze before letting go, smiling a false smile. "You hold yourself like a queen would halloweener. Dreams are no less a part of us then reality." Closing her steps to run her gaze over the door, she did not touch only look, eyes moving upwards to the ceiling. "Allow me then, to share what I would offer a leader should you chose to be one." Her arms laid bare, black nails ran over the runes in the light. "They are not of my kin, nor, of the insects that plague us and would change you into tools of mockery. They are of another make. I do not recognize them, but they carry a threat. They bind. And as is, we are not the threat little filly." Lan's voice had losk it's mocking tone, setting for a colder formal one. "They seal us here," her gaze lifted to the ceiling then back to Amrita. "But it is not us they seal alone. They seal something greater than what we are." A bow of her head, Lan stepped aside, offering no other assistance, nor, making any more to harm. Anyone near the door Feel free to have heard Lan's claim of the runes and just what binds them.

"There is always purpose, even if we can't see it. Or if it isn't a beneficial one to us," he shot towards Amrita.
Shun listened to Lan's input in silence. That confirmed his suspicions that this wasn't Hunter related. Their runes usually were blue from what he recalled. From what she said, there was a great possibility that something else apart from the students was lurking in this dungeon. And whatever it was, it could very well be just as hungry as they all were. He gritted his teeth a bit at the thought. The Legacy of Revenge, perhaps?
Hearing Aisha comment about being close to death, his gaze shifted over towards her and his fingers twitched a bit. He soon turned away, however. He wasn't really one to comfort.
"Very well. We'll just have to keep an eye out for any unspeakable evils that might be lurking in this place as well," he grumbled.

Scies carefully opened her eyes looking around to see where she had ended up and to see that the door she had chosen led her right into a prison. Then she couldn't remember on how long she had been here and she looked down at her arms to see strange symbols on them. When had she gotten these?
Then suddenly the strange feeling hit her and she was aware that she was so very hungry.
CLANK
Seeing that the door to her cell had opened did Scies struggle to her feet. So much effort in walking and keeping her wings tucked in that she let her tail drag behind her as her belly growled for Fear. For now she just concentrated on walking to the opened door.
Slowly Scies walked to the opening of her cell to find others there too talking with each other. Carefully she walked closer to the others as she was unsure of there reactions to her since she didn't know any one there as she looked around. Curiously she did listen to what was being said but unsure what to make of some of what was being said. But she keep quiet but watching biding her time as she wanted to know more.

He glared sharply in Piper's direction as she called out for him, swallowing and trying to smooth his expression again when he realized who it was. "Yes, I'm here." He left the ghost ghoul's side to move closer to the reaper as the unfamiliar undead moved on, comforted by the torches they held if nothing else. It was only a small comfort, but every little bit helped.
"Do you think we should get closer to the others?" The boil she still lingered near received a curious look before he asked, "Who's this?" He was pleased he simply sounded conversational rather than jealous, but any satisfaction he might have felt was quickly overridden by the hollow ache of hunger as it spread from his gut out to his limbs. He wanted to touch this other boil, to press his fingers into his neck and squeeze. He knew that if he did it just right he wouldn't be hungry anymore.
Bren hugged his arms to his stomach instead. "Maybe it's best to stay here until they make some sort of progress. They all seem to be getting rather... agitated."

"Alright, good. Stay put, younger ones." Gene called out, hoping that they'd heed her. Probably not, though. She never listened to the older students when she was a Snot. Still, if this landed them in danger...
Consume.
Another shot of hunger slammed her thoughts to a No consuming, not harvesting. FEAR could be gained without killing - she shot a look at Lan - and shook her head to quiet the voices. Approaching Amrita and the Horsewoman, the Doppel set her hands on her hips. "So, what do you think it was meant to cage? Was it so poorly designed that it'd trap anything that held any sort of FEAR?" She mused while questioning, lips drawn into a thin line. "An ancient, maybe? One of the old gods?"
Yeah, she'd done her homework, completely out of sync with her player.

It had crossed her mind to just stay there, for them to leave her there to die or something. To give up because it was so much easier. But deep down maybe she didn't really want that and perhaps that was what actually got her off the ground. Or just obeying a request or something from the older student. Because she couldn't fathom how useful she could be (and she was so hungry...)
Slowly but surely, Maple got herself out of the cell to the main hallway. There she got a bigger sense of where they might be even though it was still difficult to tell exactly. There seemed to be a door or two, torches which were beginning to be picked up by the other students. Something seemed to be on the wall with one piece missing. All in all the ghoul remained quiet as she joined where Amrita and the others were standing around. Many of the options she could think of to get them out had probably already been tried, so it was no use voicing anything for now.
Maybe it was also not a good idea to look at them directly, her dwindling amount of FEAR was giving her some weird ideas...

Jove began to growl. And growl and growl and growl. He paced the area, walking from one end of the hall to the other, completely ignoring most of the other students who had been trapped there. When he walked past Llyr, he offered his student-pet a reassuring pat on the shoulder. It's okay, he had FEAR to share, you don't have to worry Llyr. Jove takes good care of his pets. Having ceased his growls, the pup once again walked up and down the area they were being held in. Amrita got a wry snort in passing, they had totally expected this result, hadn't they? Still, as graduates they had to put their best feet forward. When Jove noticed Remi taking a torch, along with some of the other students, the pup's ears perked. Then he promptly began looking for something to burn down.HP: 14 Enoh Love How are we all gonna protect the snots?

Her smile was feral, the mask of conquest's refinement giving way slowly to their baseline nature, to the desire to consume, eradicate, lay waste to any and all- To dominate. "A good train of thought to begin, yet a poor line of questions to be asking when none around you posses an answer. No- runes are intricate. They are varied and co-dependent, they do more than seal. They can create. They can heal. They can feed. They can consume." She brushed her hand over Gene, siphoning FEAR as she could. A taste, just a taste. "The ancients are not so easily bound with crude things to cage unintentionals. The old gods are dead. So why is a better question-" She smiled still, pulling back. " Why cage that which it is not meant to contain?" Her eyes flickered over to the dogs and their fires. "Cute." She actually sounded like she meant it too. Stamina: 14+

He did not recognize the ghoul that came up to him. "No," said Llyr delicately. "No, it's not cool, I don't like this at all, I don't want to be here, and I would very much like to go home now, if that's all right." He turned beseeching eyes on her. "Can I please go back to my room now?"
His stomach hurt. Or, to be more precise, his stomach felt as though it was trying to eat itself from the inside out, which was a terrible, terrible sensation. Llyr's eyes moved sideways towards the ghoul beside him and involuntarily he licked his lips, trying to alleviate some of the dryness that had settled on them.
Or maybe he was just hungry.
The dark skinned boil from earlier - what had been her name? Aisha, that's what - appeared, and Llyr gravitated towards her automatically, his fingers curling around her arm in an almost childlike grasp. "I would like to go home, please," he said to her, because she had been the one to come up to him first. "I decided I don't like this very much after all, this isn't very fun."
He didn't know the boil that came up, Llyr looking at him with shadowed eyes, but Jove received a silent stare, Llyr's unhappy expression clearly evident. He let go of Aisha and drifted aimlessly a few steps, his stomach twisting, and then sat down on the ground. His head felt as though it were going to spin right out of his head.
"Let me go home," he said quietly.

"I don't know what you're talking about." She insisted, resisting any hints or teases about her being regal in any sense of the word. She was a patchwork, and a ghost inside of that, and that was it.
"That's helpful, thank you, Lan." As much of an grudge she felt for this woman - a grudge spawned from something Amrita continued to pretend had not happened, and did not exist - she was still very capable of showing gratitude where it was due. Knowing they weren't dealing with the usual threats was unnerving, but it was a start, at least.
Though she would have been lying to say she hadn't come to that conclusion. This energy felt too familiar, too close to home, to be Hunter or Horseman. It was something she wouldn't ave voiced to anyone, in the off chance they'd ask her why.
"--And hope they're not as hungry as we are." She added to Shun's comment. In her mind, it was safe to assume that they all felt it. The hunger, the need to consume. All of it.
"How about we don't worry if there's something else here, why don't we worry about getting out first, and just keep our senses open for--Lan!" Amrita hissed, wincing as she felt the shift in fear, the one thing her body craved so intensely. This was not the time for that! Her hands clenched at her sides. "Gene, are you okay?"
"Let's just search for a way out - some of you look at...whatever they are." Amrita offered the group, pointing to the strange doors on the ceiling, hoping that having something to distract them would leave less of a chance for them to turn on each other. It was tempting, so tempting, but she held back; so much could go wrong.
"..I'm sorry." She murmured to Jove as he passed with that snort of his. "But hey, at least we're not alone." It was a small, tiny blessing, but it was there.

Gene nodded along with Lan, understanding her until-
She snarled, hoarse and feral, angry and full of fear. An open hand found its way across Lan's face before she could think rationally, then she backed down near Amrita. "S-sorry. That's really not appropriate in the situation we're in. she said more to Amrita than Lan. "I'll go look into more of the cells, see if there's anything hidden."
