Ceres... Davey does't think he's familiar with that name. But if two other Hunters are immediately looking to her for guidance, she must be of an advanced rank. He's fine with having an experienced voice and set of eyes in this situation. "There's a hospital - sort of," he adds to the other Hunters' explanations to Joy. "But anytime I've been past it's been more of a here's a bandage, now be on your way sort of thing." "What do you mean by "in our clothes"?" Joy asks. "The coats," Davey says absently while keeping his attention on the 'living' body. "It's a kind of uniform. The symbol tells us which division people work for - Moon is rescue and defence." He has noted that one of the two newcomers is Moon, the other Sun. Defence and attacking, can't go wrong there. The mysterious Ceres appears and is more reassuring about the situation than Davey and the other males have been. Not far behind her is the other candidate Davey talked to in the assembly. The guy has the worst luck because no sooner does he show up than the not-quite-dead Hunter speaks up again: "Run." Thumping. Something was attacking the wall. It seems like only seconds pass until the wall crumbles, revealing an army of grey bodies. They stumble forward, slow but unstoppable. ... It seems the candidates got their zombie army after all. "Joy, run!" he snaps, moving between her and the army. He won't leave her defenceless. (( Davey is defending Joy from any auto-damage from mobs. ))

She's momentarily stunned at Ceres' arrival, this is the woman whom she owed her life to! This is the woman why Joy ever considered the offer. And this is also the woman who doesn't remember who she is. Not going to lie, it stung somewhat. But that sense of professionalism Ceres exuded is reminiscent of Davey's on a battle field, and it tells Joy not to take it personally.
Maybe when this whole thing is resolved and the poor survivor- starts wheezing and warns them to Run. Her body is moving on its own, instincts causing her to rise to her feet just as the thumping begins. Her mind catches up and she's reaching for Zac because she owes him an ******** earful.
"Aye, aye, Cap'n!" Joy barks out, her hand grabbing at her fellow non-Hunter's clothes, yelling "You got your ******** zombies, what are you gonna do with them?"
To the others, all Joy can think to yell is, "Does this place have any sort of anti-zombie bunker!?"

"Go on and get them out of here!" He gestured towards the two initiates and Davey, hoping that he would be able to get the new people out of here. "Inoke, you should probably go with them; bring up the rear and keep anything from following. Ceres, you think we can get this one," he gestured to the survivor who didn't look like they'd actually be with them much longer, "between the two of us?

"Back towards the assembly," Davey says. It's central and all the Hunters should be spreading outwards from it. They have the most chance of encountering reinforcements along that path. "Someone with a spare arm grab the survivor!" He'd do it himself, but he's only got the one and needs it for defending Joy and himself from the oncoming horde. Joy's started to run and Davey's glad, because the first zombie has reached him. He needs to dispatch it before he can follow after Joy, buy the Hunters some time to remove the wounded. [Mob Fight]

The zombie is missing an arm, lost at the elbow. Davey has the fleeting thought that it's almost a fair fight before dismissing it. If he can't defeat something mindless like this, then he's not worthy of his coat.
Nails rake at his arm. He hisses at the sting. It throws off his swing and he misses the zombie. It's only by a centimetre but it might as well be a mile.

He's trusting the others to do what needs to be done. He won't wait for backup or even ask for it. They're all Hunters here, with battle experience - except for the two candidates. Joy, the unnamed candidate with black-and-blue hair, and the survivor of the first attack, they are the priority. At least for the three Moons.
A thrust and Azrael strikes true. The zombie stumbles, half-bowed over. But it continues to move forwards.

Bent, the zombie makes a smaller target. Davey's blade slices across a shoulder, but it doesn't cut deep. 'Tis merely a flesh wound, he hears in an outrageous accent. He smiles as he centres himself, ready to attack again.

She follows the instructions to run for the assembly, managing to avoid the slow-moving hoard. It takes her a while to notice Davey was staying behind. "Can't someone help him?" she asks, resisting the urge to turn back if only because she knows she can't do anything.

Maybe he's too distracted. He misses again. Irritation surges and he pushes it back. It's not in regards to this one - it's because the longer he takes, the closer the rest of the horde comes. He can't afford to waste time. But he also can't afford to let anger make him sloppy. Those emotions, he pushes aside. Azrael helps to squash them. They need calm now.

Another miss. It's unnerving. The enemy seems slow, like it should be easy to hit and to vanquish. But it's shuffling movements take it just out of the path of his sword time and time again.
He checks for Joy - she's almost out of the area. That's good. He breathes a sigh of relief. He turns back to the monster, determined. He can do this.

His blade finally connects again. It's less glancing than before, but still not a killing blow. The enemy is almost dead, though. One more hit ought to do it.

"CAPTAIN, DON'T MAKE ME COME BACK FOR YOU!!!" Joy yells, hoping it would distract the zombies enough to head her way or serve to encourage Davey. She's not picky with whichever result happens, though is leaning heavily for it to be the second. Damn it, she may not have had much time to imagine how their reunion would play out but she was ******** sure it wouldn't be like this!
Though she has to admit, she misses this life-or-death thrill and the rush is so much more real and potent than it had been in Wonderland. Now if they could only do something about the smell this would have been ******** awesome.

He hears Joy's voice calling out to him. It reminds him of Wonderland - in the dungeons with her, slicing through the boss monsters like they were nothing. The thought gives him extra strength, and a small smile on his face. He steps in, half turns, slices... The zombie's head falls from its body.
He's free to try and follow Joy away now.

The rest of the horde is mercifully not on him yet. He trusts the other Hunters to have their own affairs in hand, and to have grabbed the survivor while he fought. There's not a shred of shame or guilt in him as he turns on his heels and runs.
"Right behind you," he yells at Joy with fond anger. Of course she didn't listen to him, again. "Don't stop!"

He sees Joy's back disappear around a corner. It's a free, easy run back to the gym hall from there. Something tight in his chest loosens, finally. She's safe. There'll be a lot more Hunters between her and the zombies now.
Besides, he's hot on her heels, longer stride catching up to her. He'll continue to protect her. She may not want it, but it's his job. For however long she remains awake and unpodded.
