The problem with calming down and grounding out from terror levels was just how much Olivia realized she didn't like this. Not one bit. Andrew was at least not telling her to go away but he seemed... she couldn't think of the word. But it didn't seem any better than just moments ago when he was trying to scare her with fire. Like he planned to ignore her, which she was used to from other creeple as she watched them from her favorite spots. But not like this.
She was probably not going to smile for a while it seemed. And Olivia let out a small dejected little sound as her eyes traveled to the chair he had pointed out. Well, she could sit there, couldn't she. Mobility seemed to be an option finally.
But first, she went to go close the windows. A little odd. It was something she had wanted to tell him to do though and it was the only thing she could think of doing besides taking him up on the offer to take over the chair and sit. And stare at him some more until he finally said they were friends again.

She still didn't leave. Still here. He watched as she looked at his chair and then shut his windows. Why was she doing that? It would get rather warm in here... At least for her. Though who knew with their natures working against each other. He was glad he had removed all the fire minis from his room before letting her in. But he didn't know what she was aiming for by staying. Yes he had hurt her, but he didn't understand why she stayed. Usually people went away when they were hurt. It was a great self defense system, just irritate the Jack out of people till they left, but it was rendered ineffective against this ghoul. Then again he didn't bring down the hammer hard enough. He didn't want to now. The fire should have been enough but it wasn't. But yet she was still afraid, what was she doing?

It was because she was clinging to the hope that he would refute his own words to her, that they could go back to how they were when she arrived at his door. That this would be a nicer visit again even though all of that had still happened. Even though she would want to forget but couldn't. But he would say he was sorry or something and then everything would be okay.
And maybe her closing the windows would help. It would be like her putting his room back the way she had found it or something, Olivia did like to clean after all. This was kind of like that. And the warmth would return.
Andrew had told her to do as she wanted - even though leaving just seemed the better choice. But, "I want us to be friends." She finally said after some time. Now doing as he suggested and sitting in that chair. And staring.phantompanther13 Wondercon is over, I do tags now~ have stubborn Olivia.

Throughout her little dance he watched her even as she returned to the seat and finally sat. Curled up under wings, he didn't let himself heat it up too much. He had a decent nest there. She was still on that? Andrew stared at her for a long moment. He wasn't sure how to respond. Friends was not something he had a lot of. He never did. Most found him too annoying or on fire as was his recent experience. But he wanted to be Olivia's friend. He wanted to just say yes and maybe magically go back to at least that 5 foot difference but it wasn't really enough anymore. She had questioned the adjustments he made, and... strangely asked that he not make them. He didn't understand. "The answer is simple then. Don't be afraid of me. Then we can be friends." It was a demand. Really he hadn't ever intended to demand anything of her but this, was the one thing. He knew it was ridiculous to demand she simply not be afraid it would be like asking him to stop being afraid of water. Still, he demanded it. chirigami Yay! You have returned! And we are still treading water on this. *pokes them both*

Not like she could really say she understood her actions either. But, again, that clinging hope. That she was holding onto as she sat in his chair with her feet dangling off the side a little and her hands neatly in her lap. Hugging her knees might seem more appealing now, but Olivia wanted to give Andrew her undivided stare.
"I can't... just not be." The ghoul replied softly at first. That fear wasn't something she could just not have and not give up so easily. Like him. "But... I can work on it. Like you did. And then we can be friends?" Olivia asked him with earnest hope in her words, her lips curled in a soft smile. One she could finally muster because he had offered at least something that wasn't the end.

She didn't resist as much as he thought. Instead she just stared at him and he resisted his urge to curl up tighter, to pull his tail into the center and use it as a small heater. It was better over there away from her. In all honestly he had never expected her to just stop. But she smiled at him, a smile for him like his demand have been a gift and not a dagger. His will to resist broke down. She wanted to try. Maybe if she tried, he could get a little closer, and not have her break down just because he moved beyond the gap or let his flame show. She had already stepped pass it earlier. She hadn't run. He bit his lip thinking on this. Like he did? He didn't really understand how he had stopped fearing anything. He hadn't. But she wanted to try, she wanted to stay close. "Then we could be friends. But..." there was a thousand buts. But when was it going to be good enough? But weren't they already friends in a way? But what if she feared his fire again? But they couldn't really get near each other. But fire and zombies did not mix. But Fire demons and Ice zombies did not mix. But he didn't really want to stay at just friends. Really a friend could manage the gap just fine. They could be 5 foot friends. If he wanted to be just friends this whole problem would not be a big deal. "But... once I have you, I will not let go." he said finally, wondering if she truly understood this.

Then we could be friend. He said, and instantly the soft glow of her eyes brightened. Even with the but that followed. Because it was once again something and he wasn't pushing her away again. It was something she could work with, as she had been trying to since they had met and she dared not let go. Those spare glances at flames and that small closing of distance. A go ahead to continue to try to look at the flames without flinching or looking away. Getting too close would still take time, she was still vulnerable but she could find a way around that as well. Like he had done to control it all.
"I won't either." She told him as innocently as ever, her smile spreading. No, she didn't truly understand what he meant. That would be something else that might come in time.
"Will you also explain the conversation you had with Mia when we're friend again?" Because she was still curious about that.

His tail glowed a bit more than he intended. Even though he had let it fall behind the couch, the flames suddenly became very visible when she said she wouldn't either, matching the small smile he gave her. For a moment he didn't even notice that his tail had gained some vigor. She was smiling at him and that made his core feel warmer. And that was exactly what she was afraid of a small voice whispered. But the feeling in his core died down as if water were thrown on it at the next statement. Where to even start with that? Where to even start? Clearly she did not understand what he meant not one bit. His flames fell defeated once again. "I... I will try." if he could. He just didn't know how to explain. But Jack if he wanted her to ask Mai.

Obviously his little burst of flames didn't go unnoticed and Olivia felt her body push back against the chair, her eyes shifted to get them out of sight. To look away but still sort of look at Andrew. She felt bad but she had told him it wouldn't just go away.
He had looked as happy as she did at least, giving her hope that things would get back to the way they were. But better because they had promised each other and now she had an explanation to look forward to when things were set back into place. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long. (Though, Olivia was going to have to figure out how to go about it).
"Can I stay a little longer?" The ghoul asked.

The recoil did not go unnoticed. She was terrified of him still and he had done nothing. Nothing but felt a little happy. The little voice whispered in the back of his mind. She will never trust you. She will never accept your fire. It will never work. He ignored the thoughts for now. "Yeah. Sure." he didn't make a move to turn the heat back on. It wasn't that bad. "I can turn on the scaryvision... we can watch a movie or something..." he didn't really know what else to do with a not friend in his room. Honestly he was still treating her like a friend. Jack he didn't let half his friends into his room. Yet there she was, unaware of how much he gave her. He wasn't even aware of why himself. chirigami yeah sure lurk around his room. Olivia if you want it you can have it.

This was going so much better now, even though Andrew was saying they weren't exactly friends. But her glow was returning, almost in full when he told her she could stay. That they could watch a movie. It was like they were back to normal, hell she might even be treating it as such. But, she kind of knew it wasn't. Though, it was a little different, since they've never done this before.
"I don't have a scaryvision in my room," Olivia informed him, intrigued, "a movie founds fun."

Olivia you poor ghoul... no scareovison. Andrew pulled himself up and scurried over to his entertainment center. His tail fallowed landing itself on the floor. He did not hide it. He refused to hide it. He did peek over his wing briefly to watch Olivia's reaction. The Hexbox grumbled loudly as he pulled out the Scarestation. Cables nearly flew but Andrew waved a small fireball very briefly over them both, a warning. They had better behave. Behave or they would receive the same treatment as his Eii. He pulled out his binder of discs and flipped through. No too much fire, too much fire too much fire. He had forgotten that most of his movies included lots and lots of fireballs being flung around almost everywhere and explosions and fireworks. He did have plants vs zombies... the movie. But he wasn't sure how well Olivia would like it. She did seem to like the human world movie well enough. Finally he landed on a movie that have been given to him. Reapunzal. It was a mostly scarling movie about a reaper who had incredibly long hair and used it to climb into towers and spook the humans in there. Occasionally she would use it as a Lasso or some such and help the monsters of the world get set up for their little bit of spooky scaring. That would probably be ok. There wasn't much fire in that one. "Ok, I got Plants verses Zombies and Reapunzal. Any preferences?" he held up the discs an the hexbox let out another hisss before Andrew shoved it away from his scareostation with a wing. chirigami No chickflicks in his movie collection.

It probably didn't help Andrew's interest that Olivia's eyes were elsewhere when he turned around to check on her. Not for avoidance but mostly with him up and occupied, it seemed like a good time to actually look around where she was sitting. Taking note of that collection of little boxes on the bookcase, and the bookcase at all, there was a door over there that probably lead somewhere else - she only had one door which was the closet. Not that she needed a whole lot. But she was seeing more of what she seemed to lack in her own room. Things maybe she needed to get.
Like the things he was currently fighting, which she finally settled in to watch. Olivia leaned a little, to see what he was doing - avoiding looking at his tail as usual - and curious what those devices were. She had seen at least one of them before in class, right?
"Are those the only ones?" The ghoul asked, a little confused when he presented her the options. She looked up at him, tilting her head slightly, "you had a big book." Olivia went on, to make herself more clear.

She didn't seem bothered at the moment... There was at least two doors over there. One that lead to the bed and closet and the other that lead to the bathroom. If she were to listen at one she would hear the gurgle of boiling. in another corner behind the couch she might notice a desk with books, a computer and most strangely scattered papers on it. Paper did survived in Andrew's room. "Ahh no. Half of this is Scareo games and... well most of my movies are like explosions and action type stuff. I have Dragon Fight, Monster vs Monster, Train Wreck... you know. Lava filled Caverns. Aliens from Strange Places..." he sort of had the whole series of Dragon fight. He liked dragons... not so much the water and ice ones but a lot of them. So it was worth owning it all, and he had seen it. Water on the scareo screen wasn't that bad. "But most of those have fire in them." he said simply. He didn't register that he had admitted to doing it again, hiding the fire. In his mind he was simply tying to think of something they would both enjoy. chirigami tons of action/fire movies.

"Oh." She replied, shifting slightly in her seat - and then noticing the computer. Yet another thing she didn't own. It was nice of him to consider that a movie with too much fire might not be the best for her, though hadn't he wanted her not to be afraid of it? "What movie seems like it would be fun to watch? Or maybe we can play a game?" As she didn't get to play those types too often.
