Behind the avatar there's not much to tell... My name's Jeff, I'm 14 (turning 15 in less than a month), I'm in the 10th grade, I live in Tennessee, I like all kinds of music, but mostly rock and everything that goes with it (Hard rock, soft rock, squishy rock, etc..), don't ask me about my favorite food because I never have an answer neutral

Hmm...
My real name is Arielle. I am 17 and I currently live in Texas. I say currently, because I'm going to get out of here as soon as I can. If I can't get out of here, I at least want to move to Dallas. I want to live in a big city, not here in the middle of nowhere.
I have two ugly dogs named Nola and Tracker, and I hate cats.
I enjoy writing about vampires and embellishing on my sorry life. I read just about anything I can get my hands on. Right now, I'm reading Eats, Shoots and Leaves. Sooner or later, I'm going to start on Queen of the Damned. I also play paintball, DDR (even though I'm not very good yet), and I'm a reality TV show junkie.
Even though I'm 17, I don't have my learners permit, mostly because I'm lazy. I'm going to be the only senior in my high school who doesn't drive.
I'm in the school band. I play the B-flat clarinet, and I also like the E-flat clarinet. I also know how to play the alto saxophone, the piano, and the marimba. I hate marching season, but I absolutely love concert season. I enjoy sitting and not getting all sweaty and whatnot.
I like to listen to rock music and my favorite band is Linkin Park, but I like Blink-182 and Yellowcard too.
I guess I'll add more later...and a picture once I find one that isn't really huge.

I don't deal with idiots and I'm opinionated and judgemental. I tell my friends to ******** off when they're whining.

I'll be 18 on August 14, and am looking forward to it, if for no other reason then that I no longer have to be sneaky with my cigars. Yes, I smoke, but only cigars. Cigarettes are incredibly pointless, as they kill and look stupid. At least cigars look cool.
I lived for almost fourteen years in North Carolina, being quite the social outcast, and damn proud of it, too. Once I moved up to Louisville, Kentucky, I actually became somewhat popular. I attribute it largely to my newfound lack of worry for my own image; as long it made people laugh and feel good, I was up for it, including dropping trou...in public.
So, my life has improved vastly, I just went to Warped Tour, Jr. which owned large amounts of soul, and I love my current avatar. In the words of our targets and rivals: w00t.

Hi! Oh-mi-kaze here. Meaningless name, meaningless existence.
My life is currently dedicated to frivolity and wanton hedonism. But let's turn back the clock to when I didn't eat tacks for breakfast and rocked your individual worlds.
Born in a remote corner of the Bible belt (Central Texas), I was spawned from a hellish union of first cousins, but surprisingly was born without any noticeable defects. We were to find out later that all the defects were psychological.
As I grew, with only a strange name and glasses, my childhood wasn't particularly easy, socially. I had always associated myself with children two years younger than myself, and my maturity was, along with my sanity, stunted and repressed. Introvertive, loathsome, and bitter, my parents did not know what to do with an anti-social child of ten years, so like every caring parent with a child of a wandering mind, those rat bastards sent me to India for school.
I have issues with being hit by adults, especially strange ones. I bit a teacher who sought to discipline me with "the board of education" and was subsequently sent back to America, in order to complete the fifth grade in a private Catholic school. I began my teenage blues in that school, and very nearly committed suicide by jumping off the church roof. I got off with a broken wrist and a few cracked ribs, and luckily never had to read about it in the papers. This sent me back to India to begin my freshman year of high school. At a new school. Where administration (and the syllabus for each course) changed three times in one year.
Skipping over that year, I returned home and graduated from the local high school, and now attend college.
In all of that time, my taste in music has never wavered from German industrial rock, although it has often included some techno genres and metal bands. I am a Japanophile, but not in the way you think. I tolerate certain manga up to a point, and anime is right out. I read strategic treatises ("Go Rin no Sho," Hagakure, Bushido Shoshinshu, etc.) avidly, read as much as I can about the mythos and folklore, and am learning the language. I am also trying my hand at German, Sanskrit, and I'm hoping to begin a personal translation of the Vedas in about eighteen months. All this aside from joining the local dojo and making a kendoka out of myself.

 Greetings, I'm PhaseBurn... Some people call me "pb" or "Phase" for short... Others call me "Davy"... Few people use my real name... To my knowledge, I'm the only "PhaseBurn" on the internet - if you've heard of my screen name before, it's probably me. I've been with several large gaming websites, including VoodooExtreme (I ran their IRC network), GameStats News Network, GamerzEdge, GamesNET, GameSurge, The Westwood Underground, Dune2k.com, RedFaction.org, CnCRenegade.com, HeavenGames.com, and GameLordz. I get around. I'm a big nut when it comes to Linux - I gave up on Microsoft products years ago... I'm not your usual zealot, though, as I believe that everybody has different needs, and that they should use what's best for their specific situation. I only get zealot-like when they fail to consider linux as a viable option - I'm perfectly fine if they consider it and choose something else. My major goal is just to open people's minds and educate them to what linux can possibly do for them. I try to contribute to open source projects, and can be found on several mailing lists and wikis/bugtraqs to help developers squish programming nasties that pop up, as well as helping new users discover the potential of open source software. I also program a very little bit as my job requires of me, and have worked on everything from routers to bandwidth monitoring software to websites - some of my best examples are on my own site, phaseburn.net. I"m also a fan of anime, manga, and other forms of Asian culture. I play Ragnarok, listen to JPop, JRock, and drink a lot of Japanese soda. I also am a big fan of sushi (except the database here *g*), love a good cup of saki, and rice crackers called arare. To the left, is what I'd look like as an anime character... Here and here are 2 pics of me, one with blue hair, and one with glasses. Oddly enough I don't have one of both - the glasses are a new thing (I usually wear contact lenses), and so is the black hair (usually it's blue). I'm rather new to Gaia Online, having only registered a week or so ago, however I already feel at home here. While I haven't dropped in on the Chatterbox too often, I've actually found a good psuedo-family in the Computer and Technology forum, where I've been helping people with networking, software, and hardware issues, as well as answering random questions about various things. I'm not a stranger to on-line communities, however, as I've been on IRC for the better part of 10 years now, and currently am an IRC Operator and network administrator for GameSurge, one of the larger IRC networks on the internet today. I've worked for several internet service providers over the years, and have a career in network administration, with a focus on security. Past jobs I've held include several large ISPs, including Earthlink, and I'm currently the Sr. Network Engineer for a medium sized ISP in California, where I manage 10,000 accounts across 30 servers. Uhm, what else? I'm going to be a senior in high school, I'm going to be in Japanese IV - I actually was hosting a Japanese student for the past two weeks, she left this morning. Something that I'm sure you all will find amusing is that within the past two weeks, I only had Japanese food once, and that was while she was in Yosemite with the rest of the group. I've been to Japan once, and planning on returning next summer.
I'm fond of Japanese music and used to be a crazy-go-nuts anime fangirl, but now I've calmed down and have migrated into the shoujo manga. Wee. Hello everyone. My real name is Amnesty but I prefer to be called Amnesty on this site, tyvm. xd I'm 15 years old and I will be a sophmore in highschool next year (starting August 18th).
