sodium I completely 100% approve of Alana and Hannibal. Their faces look a lot better smooshed together then Alana and Will. Aesthetically speaking. All the hate on Alana for "splitting up the ship" makes me sad. She's such a great character. crying Well my hate for Alana has nothing to do with the ship splitting. It's her character I hate. She is sooooooo hypocritical and snobbish this last season.

I was a big fan of Alana in season 1, I still am but I'm upset with the direction her character has taken. Basically I see her being manipulated by Hannibal and I think "No! Get away from her you monster." I mean, I hate that she's sort of being put in the middle of a triangle, I hate those. Even though I am sort of getting vibes that her time is limited. When it does come out that Hannibal was the ripper she's going to be hurt the most because she has placed such high trust in him.

In season 1 she seemed kind and understanding and wanted to put her faith in Will. I don't even mind that she likes Hannibal. (Though, I'm sure she has an expiration date.) She is just SO easily letting herself get manipulated.

This last episode made me give up on her COMPLETELY. emotion_facepalm Why Alana tell Hannibal you're paranoid about him. All these things. . . And then just. . . YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF SELF-PRESERVATION. There I said it.

This posing of the corpse is the murderer's benefactor trying to honor it. YOU THINK WILL IS THE MURDERER, SO ALANA WHO HAS HE BEEN SAYING IS HIS BENEFACTOR?? Ugh.

Well.. 1. She's easily manipulated. 2. She's very fickle/indecisive on what/who she wants. 3. She went from very easily turning away from Will, to very easily giving in to Hannibal. 4. She seems like she'd have a breakdown if she found out what was really going on.. So, she's pretty weak minded/willed in my opinion as well. All in all, a very weak female leading character.. Who tries too hard to act like a 'strong woman' type. Still, she's not all bad, at least we got some fan service scenes involving Hannibal from her. lol

Combination creates the strong independent woman that still needs a man to save her cliche. Well she has a gun. Might be useful (The next episode proceeds with Alana emptying her gun into the wall next to Hannibal and Hannibal finding God. rofl )

angel_of_joy exclaim How do you feel now after how they ended the season finale? I almost feel sorry for her but at the same time I liked how that happened! Well let's see. Abigail was secretly alive and she didn't think too maybe hold the gun to her until she decided it was safe. And she kept blindly shooting through the door at Hannibal. Those points aside (Will wasn't suspicious of Abigail either emotion_facepalm ) I like how Alana handled the confrontation with Hannibal. Even if she didn't stop and think to check if the gun was loaded. Seriously Alana. Anyway, she held her ground and became serious about stopping Hannibal. When she was on the ground dying, it would have been nice if she told Will Abigail was alive inside and pushed her out the window, but hey I ca see how it might have been too much trouble. I don't think she's going to die at least. But at least now the police and FBI officially have Hannibal on their radar.

I don't feel like the finale redeemed her in any way, but I don't think she's going to die either.
