Trex wasn't sure where he had wandered, but somehow he had stumbled across a large group of players fighting what first looked like a giant, menacing hedgehog. He pulled out some cards to protect himself, but his foxfire happily leapt forward, perhaps mistaking the creature for another tree.
The kid suddenly saw the creature begin to glitch, just a little. And what he saw was even more frightening than the monster itself.

Another hedgehog? He hadn't seen hedgehogs before this moment, and he had to wonder if they were being glitched in with all of the - oh, no, he remembered where hedgehogs showed up, however momentarily, in the book.
Eesh, that explained why they were so mad.
He flung down his cards (and his wedding card, because it just felt right now), and started to attack.

His final attack might have taken a lot more out of him than usual, if it weren't for the comforting presence he knew was right behind him, ready to claw the hedgehog to shreds. He wanted to weaken it as much as possible, before Mimsy had a go - just to keep her safe.
And so he did, with cards and fists and anything he could hurt it with. All in all, he might have overdone it a bit - he was huffing by the time he hit the ground again.
"I think I softened him up for you, Mimsy. Aim for the underbelly!"
