Oh lord, he definitely made it worse, He was almost folded over to one side and that did indeed make it hard for him to try and stay calm. But he'd never make it through, or even be able to get the mushrooms if he just went angry on them… mushroom mash didn't seem like a helpful option all things considered, and if he got angry and started stomping and kicking them…well he could -really- be in a mess.

Making his way out of the dungeon and discarding his disguise (except the fez, he kept the fez because fezzes were cool) he tried to find his way around and stumbled, quite by accident, into a field of mushrooms. "... fungus is so not fun anymore." It all would have been well and good except for the fly ... rocking horse ... dear god ... that landed in front of him and explained what he had to do. This place was so screwed up.
