The male listened to the delightful female that made his gypsy soul sing with deep emotion. It was of course too late to really determine the depth of his feelings because they just met but in this journey Relik hoped to find out more about her.
Smiling fondly at the mention of his mother the stallion nodded. "Yes. My mother is an incredible mare and the apple of my eye." He was perhaps a mother's boy but independent and wild like the gypsies because...that is what they were and they lived by it. Moving closer to Cerys, Relik kissed her cheek lightly.
"Dragi, I am not asking you to join my troupe but to meet them and see my world. There are no promises to be made except of course that you will enjoy yourself with me." Relik nuzzled her ever so tenderly.

Cerys smiles as he tells her that his mother is the apple of his eye. That is such a sweet thing to say. She has to admit that she is looking forward to meeting his mother. With how her family is mixed in two different herds.. well she isn't as close to her parents as she is with her aunt. Sure she can go over to the other herd and see her parents and such, but it isn't like she ever really fit in with the good herd. She just.. could never really let herself get close to a human. She can be around them somewhat as long as they keep their distance. She doesn't want to bond or be touched by one.
"I am looking forward to meeting her." Smiling at the kiss on her cheek she giggles. Listening to his words she nods and looks at him fondly."i think I will enjoy myself when around you. How could I not mmmm? Your world seems to be too good to be true sometimes when you talk of it.... Do you think.. that your family would like me?"
Her voice sounds slightly hesitant at the last part. She does care about how others think of her. She knows that sometimes one can't always make good impressions but she can always try. She doesn't know why, but she feels like it is important for his family to like her.

Relik smiled at Cerys, nuzzling her cheek the motioning for them to be on their way at a easy pace. "You will meet her soon enough. She is in the desert with father visiting my grandparents but they said that they were to be expected soon so I can't wait to see what gifts they bring. You'll meet my father too.....and grandfather!" He was so incredibly excited about Cerys meeting his family.
Raising a brow at his lady the stallion shook out his luxurious mane. "No for many the idea of living among gypsies is not something to be connected with but really it's a liberating world that only wants peace with other groups of people and creatures. "Yes my family will like you. Just be yourself. Only among my family are humans." Relik frowned slightly. "What are your views on humans?"

Cerys chuckles at the nuzzle and bumps her hip against him gently. Nodding she listens to what he says. She can't help but wonder if all other families are small like his. Is her family not the norm? Are they the only family to have enough members to make two different herds? Getting lost in her own thoughts for a few moments it is only by his shaking mane that brings her out of her thoughts." Yes.I will be meeting them soon enough. Do they usually bring gifts from their travels? Sorry.. My mind wandered for a few moments. I guess not all families are big enough to make two herds from."
Following him she picks up her pace to walk beside him as he tells her more about the gypsy way of life. When he tells her how there are humans among his family she shivers slightly. So just like in the good herd there are bonded. Well really she had been expecting that..But that doesn't make her relax. "I can understand why many Azerin would hesitate and not want to try it.. I just hope they do like me though..From what you say.. I am a bit different in appearance than everyone in your troupe." Sighing she tries to think on how to answer his question."My parents were bonded.. I can be around them.. but I like to keep a distance between me and them. Don't like to be touched by humans though.. I just.. never have been comfortable enough to let them... I would never consider bonding with one.. I like my freedom. I wish no ill will to them though. Just as long as I can remain untouched and have some distance then I am fine around them."

Relik blinked a few times then chuckled softly. "You could say that we are smaller but that depends on where you look at it from. Perhaps my troupe isn't as nearly large as your family from how you described them but for sure we can be considered as one big herd.
Everyone has their own caravan which are wagon homes that the normal horses and we the Azrein that live with them help pull. Then we help make camp and stay in the area for a designated amount of time. Smiling at Cerys he nodded. "Yes they do bring things especially for the humans to use for themselves or to create things for their merchant class. Don't worry Cerys, my parents are going to love you and so will my grandfather."
Listening attentively to her answer about humans Relik looked forward, his jovial expression turning serious. This could be a problem. Relik was bonded...or bonding to Cam the future king of the gypsies and bethroal to Kali, his grandfather's bonded. Licking his lips slowly he nodded and looked at her. "Then if it will be alright dragi that when we reach the caravans that I go forward and give them a heads up you are coming and not to be approached from humans? I.....I do have a bonded, Cam. He's really wonderful but he will respect your wishes to not be touched and to keep his distance. I promise you that. If you feel uncomfortable then tell me and I'll take you away from them."
Will this be the deciding factor of their budding relationship? Will him having a bonded stop what Relik's soul was feeling towards this female? It would be a crushing blow both ways if Relik couldn't have his bonded Cam, who when you meet the gypsy man is similar to Relik in his outrageously flirting ways, and lose the potential female that made his soul feel at peace which could mean something incredibly big?!
No...no Relik had to keep calm and let her digest this information first. One step at a time. Besides they had a good long ways to go before entering the gypsy lands to really figure this out. "You will never be asked to bond." He whispered quietly afraid to scare her off with the full baritone of his voice. "The gypsies are about keeping their freedom. Why else would they not live like anyone else in those things that surround them as their shelter or conform to a profession or laws? They respect the King and adore him for the good he's brought to the land, as well as his laws so long as that respect can be returned by they don't live like the rest of the humans do and they like it that way.

Cerys laughs gleefully."Believe me.. I have yet to meet a traveler that has seen as big of a herd as my families herds combined.One even had the audacity to compare my family to rabbits! I just think that they aren't used to the fact that my family sometimes have very large litters. I am one out of six siblings. All of which have names beginning with either C or D."
Listening to his words and on how he talks on the way of life she wonders if she can pull these things. Pulling things.. isn't really her forte.. balancing and climbing up what others would seem impossible is her forte. Goats.. especially mountain goats are her teachers in that area. She knows how to cling to a sheer rock face and climb up. She can head butt and defend herself.. but pulling.. strength.. She isn't the strongest mare out there.
" I don't know how much help I would be... Strength isn't really something I am good at.."
She relaxes a little as he once again reassures her that his family will like her. Though she will still have to make a good impression.. after all she is a stranger that their family member is bringing with. Blinking she is caught off guard with his words. He is bonded? Listening she has to muse over this newfound information. She doesn't really know how to feel about this information.. She likes Relik. She genuinely does.. Things grow quiet again for a while before he speaks again. Walking silently she tries processing this information. She doesn't want to make a hasty decision. And she needs to figure out how she feels about this.
"I think that would be best for you to go ahead and speak with them before I come in. I am surprised to hear you have a bonded.. but I don't think that will hinder any relationship we have.. Just as long as he doesn't try touching me.. Later I might get used to being around them and might get comfortable to let someone pet me.. but not around my horns.. I don't like them being touched.. Even as a foal and blanket. My parents bonded would run their hand along my siblings and I.. Mama always said that was when I was most violent was when the hand went to touch my horn stubs and then my horns.. It just feels weird.. I can't promise that I will warm up or get comfortable with having your bonded near.. but I can try."

Relik chuckled. "Well my family is going to get there some day." Which made him realize that if anything more than just friendship grew between them indeed a large family was going to become huge! There would have to be a herd created officially in order to accommodate everyone in bridging a distance. Perhaps that was something his grandfather would be interested in....Something to consider especially when Cerys expressed her mistrust of humans and her desire to keep that respectful distance. It would be nice for her to be away from humans while still part of his world.
"Oh no dragi you aren't going to be pulling anything. No, no. That is for the normal horses and often times myself, father and grandfather. My mother tries to help out but since she is father's princess he refuses. So my mother spends her time playing with the children to keep them entertained or allows my bonded to ride her but otherwise she follows happily. My parents are not bonded so....I don't want you to feel left out.
Listening to Cerys' words he nodded. "Surprised? How so?" The only thing that was surprising about his bonded state was that Cam found a kindred spirit in him and vice versa. "It's going to be alright Cerys. Cam will understand and will do everything he can to make you feel comfortable, even from a distance. But in time he will hope that you will let him touch your neck or mane. Those horns will keep him very, very wary. It's keeping me wary too since I don't want to upset you and earn them on my side." Winked the flirting gypsy. "Hopefully me and him singing could soften you up just a little bit, dragi"

Cerys chuckles and listens to everything he said. Walking beside him she nods. So his mother doesn't pull either... Well at least she wouldn't be the only one. Though she would want to be helpful in some way.. But nothing that would mean she would need to be around the humans.. well not close anyway. "Well I guess I can find another way to be useful. I know how to climb rock faces which others couldn't."
Looking at him she shakes her head."Are my horns really that scary? I won't hurt you with them! Well if you remain good that is.. Treat me badly and that can change." Grinning she picks up her pace."Surprised that you have a bonded. With your personality.. I would have thought you wouldn't have.We will see about the singing."

Relik grinned and nipped at her cheek gently. Dragi, you don't have to do anything if you don't wish it. The others all have their tasks and wouldn't want their guests doing any of the work. Especially when you are visiting them. I don't want you to feel that you are obligated to be with them because you have a task." The gypsy male said and then chuckled. "You can perhaps be a look out? There are times when the men would go up steep hills and not be able to go all the way up or on rock faces that are too sharp even for their leather shoes. You can help and maybe teach them better ways to go up?" That would be very useful for the humans to have and even for his family since they weren't sure-footed climbers.
The male shook his head and kissed her cheek softly. "No. I respect them and you for being gifted with them. But I want to be naughty for you!" He teased and smirked thinking back to his bonded when Cerys mentioned his personality. "You know I thought the same way. Even Cam before my mother was born and me, had wanted to bond but just couldn't. Cam all but given up until I was born and grew up. We are kindred spirits. Plus I had hoped to have a female human as beautiful as my grandfather's bonded but I got her mate so either way it's a win." Relik laughed then shook his head.
"You must be tired of hearing me talk about Cam. Do you want to take a rest before moving? The stars are winking at us from above. Perhaps we can enjoy them together."

Cerys blinks and smiles."I would like to be helpful. Though I don't know how well your humans would be able to cling to a wall and climb up a rock face like mountain goats and I. Though I guess I could tell them what to do.. but even then.. would be risky.. "Even her parents didn't want her to do climbing. After all some of the ledges get really small. She tumbled and fell often when first starting but never for long distance.
Walking contently she listens though she admits that she is indeed getting tired of the talking about humans.Nodding she takes the suggestion eagerly."We can continue, though dropping the subject would be appreciated. For now at least. You have talked a lot of your bonded. As for being naughty.. You have your ways and I hardly think my horns have anything to do with them." Chuckling she nudges him and grins.

Grinning wickedly, Relik nudged back at Cerys then trotted around finding that the spot they entered was rather suitable for their stay. It was cozy in appearance with shrubs all around, trees up for extra protection and of course soft grass.
Stopping the stallion turned around to look back at Cerys. "Yes well I am naughty as it is and therefore....I'll try to be a good boy just for you." He winked and moved over. "Here dragi, we will stay under the stars. Though of course their beautiful can't compare to yours." Relik said with sensual heat in his tone.

Cerys laughs delighted by his playfulness. As they stop she shakes her head grinning."You are so bad!" Giggling she finds a spot and lowers herself to rest. "Such a flatterer. It is easy to tell that you are a proud gypsy stallion. Now how about you get yourself over here and rest. We got more traveling to do tomorrow." Eyes sparkling with mirth she looks up at the stars twinkling in the sky's. They seem to shine only for them. Yet she knows they stretch further than she could ever hope of going.

Laughing the stallion reared up with his legs kicking in the air and his neck arched beautifully until he dropped down to the ground, walking over to Cerys. "I'm wounded you would call me a flatterer when I speak the truth!" Silver eyes twinkled with laughter while the white and silver stars above them twinkled with their inner light.
Brushing his muzzle against Cerys' cheek he whispered softly in her ear. "As my dragi commands." Moving around he settled down next to her and brought her closer to him, then looked up at the stars with her. "I am a proud gypsy stallion. Incredibly so but that's because I have the right mare with me."

Cerys watches and the sight of him rearing with the night sky behind him almost takes her breath away. Scratch that. It did take her breath away. Smiling gently at him she waits til they are both settled to speak. "And I have the right stallion beside me to protect me from harm. Along with making my day happier. What more could a mare ask for? " Nuzzling him she sighs as she starts to feel the first signs of sleep."The stars have a different kind of beauty. A beauty that will last centuries. While mine will last for however long I am alive.I hardly think I could compare. "

Relik smiled at the mare with this growing sensation in his heart. It was the kind of sensation of warmth that blossomed and seemed to wrap it's tendrils of eternal joys around the organ. It was because of Cerys. Nuzzling her mane gently he sighed softly. "No dragi. There is no comparison because you are the brightest star among them all." Murmurs to watch slumber take over his mare. Relik's ears flickered forward, curious to see what she looked like while in a deep sleep. Was she peaceful? Or did she have a fierce expression like he had seen his father have whenever he spied on his parents sleeping near the caravans. Or would she have an expression of supreme happiness like the one his mother wore while she slumbered?
He'll know soon enough that was for sure.
