It was starting, he could already see the way that the two lines were charging toward each other, could hear the impact as the two sides met, and he found himself scanning over the battlefield. There were many prime targets, many soldiers that he could take down, but he knew that there was danger in shooting into the midst of the battle. Besides, it wasn't the footmen that he should focus on. Someone like him, someone who could attack from a distance and used a precision weapon, there was another target that he needed to be taking care of.
Notching his arrow, lifting his bow, and taking aim, it was all things that he had done before but now it was so much different. Not a dangerous Witu that needed put down for the good of the village, not a delicious Aldabuk that needed cooked up for dinner, not a person he was dueling with. No, he was aiming aim at one of those who were giving orders. Just as with their side the Obans had those with rank, higher ups that called the shots, taking them out would cause dissension in the others... or so he hoped. He couldn't say that he knew anything at all about the Obans after all. They weren't a tribe he knew jack about, not even really paying the south any heed until now. Still, if it was him and Enki was attacked, he felt it would shake him up a little if he was looking to him for orders.
Jacin's eyes flicked for a moment to the side, looking at Takoda, then away. A part of him felt a bit on the guilty side. He didn't want to let Takoda see him do something like this, a little fearful that the Healer, as a Healer, would feel resentful toward Jacin. It couldn't be helped though, could it? Turning his attention back to the battle he finally picked his target and fired. Even as his arrow flew toward its target he was already reaching for another arrow, preparing for his next attack.

Rishima Post 9
There was a moment as the Obans charged toward them that he found himself praying to Aisha. He would like to make it through this, to see the mother tree one more time he thought to himself before he turned the whole of his focus to those that were coming at them. He couldn't let himself be worried or afraid anymore, all the sleepless nights filled with those feelings were finally over. He could see the enemy before him, a tangible thing instead of a nightmare, something he could fight. He would use all of his might to hold them back, to keep his fellow sisters and the Earthlings around them safe! The Alkidike were a warrior race, they were meant to be the strongest, not these invaders from the south he thought to himself as he drew back, then attacked.
He didn't allow himself to hold back this time, he couldn't use the blunt end of his spear this time, couldn't just knock his opponents out. If he did that they could very well come to and attack others, kill others. He couldn't allow his weakness to be the death of those around him. He could only hope that he was still worthy of approaching Aisha after the battle was over and he found his hands stained in blood.
The sensation of actually using his weapon against another living person, it was an awful one. The way he could feel his weapon sinking into flesh, it sent chills through him... but he couldn't reflect on it. There were too many warriors around them to do so. He'd save that for later, provided that he was lucky enough to make it through this battle. For now he lifted a foot, kicking the Oban warrior off of his spear, giving him a once over to make sure he'd finished him off, before lifting his weapon once more for the next strike. He hated this already, knowing that he was ending lives, something that he didn't feel was his right, but knew it had to be done. At this point it was kill or be killed, there was no room for any sort of mercy on the battlefield. Not a thought process he enjoyed but one he knew he had to abide by if he wanted to keep himself, Gerraden, and his sisters alive.

Sending Volle to meet Kelina too.
Duke Edward Drake
Volle has found Sauron with Kelina :3
Ray post 8
Rayolun waited until a few ranks had passed beneath him and engaged the main army before dropping down silently from above to spear one as he landed. His fall was cushioned by the body and he ruthlessly pulled the trident out and shook the gore off in a quick movement. Spinning it around, he cleared a space for himself and slashed the trident at another as he vaulted back into the canopy. If he could just make some of those out here nervous about being attacked from behind, than it'd be easier for the army itself to fight...
Volle Post 8 Vollerei stepped around the archer in front of her just as the army's met. Her bulk and size meant her spear had a longer reach and strength behind it than her foes, and she found herself able to keep those with no spears of their own at bay. Her antennae switched as an archer near her detached from the main group and entered the swirling melee. Growling under her breath at the idiotic move, Vollerei followed as soon as she could, not liking being so surrounded and standing out so much, but she felt that since she'd been put with the archers to help guard them, she should do her est to keep this one alive even if she had moved out of position.
As the girl hugged a guy, Vollerei shook her head and cleared the area about for a brief time with a charge and wide sweeping jabs from her spear. "No time for lovey dovey stuff, fools! Get back on your feet and back tot he main area. Archers should not be in melee!" She growled at them, "You can follow her too boy if that'll keep the archer back were she needs to be!"

Kadriye post 7
Magic thrummed in the air and as blade met blade and the first blood was spilled Kadriye shivered. Still the mystic stood resolute and focused the magic within her through the lengths of the sacred spear she wielded. Things were too clustered to use a proper fire spell from range, sparks could hit her allies upon impact and harm them if she just flung a fireball out there. However, that did not rule out using the powerful element all together. Casting the magical flames upward she could set alight the arrows of her allies that rained down upon the enemy, making them all the more deadly.

Sauron watched with tortured, anxious eyes as his feisty valkyrie got closer using his spear to dispose of those that separated her from him. If he was honest with himself it was damn sexy, but she shouldn't have had to rescue his useless butt. How had he not seen those pests with the ropes! He felt a bit like a recalcintrant child and struggled to help her. She got him loose and hugged him, which made the angsty part of him relax "...thank you.. but you really shouldn't be over here...what is that? Is that a scratch? THEY HURT YOU?!" He snarled and his vision turned red. He overheard a grouhy Alkidike comment on their love, it wasn't her fault she was right but Sauron didn't have to like it. He growled and tucked Kelina under his arm, no more getting hurt for her. He did steal a quick kiss just to spite the observant female, and to prove his claim and DISPLAY his love any darn way he chose. Safely esconsed in his non-fighting arm. Sauron shredded and tore his way back to the archers, getting the most precious woman on the earth back to her archers. By the time he got there he was quite splattered with the evidence of his effort but Kelina was safe. He released her snarled at the melee which had hurt her, kissed her cheek then her hand. He then stared into her eyes, saying without words what he would do if someone should hurt her again and stomped off to the melee. The Obans were in big trouble now. He lay about with his spear, rage giving him an energy he was unused to.

Aminah (Post 10)
Aminah tried to keep her position in her tree, but she was spotted by an archer much sooner than she was ready. With one last jolt of electricity towards the archer, Aminah let herself drop from the tree and landed on the forest floor, letting herself breath for a second before getting back up and into the battle. She retreated back to the other mages and magic users, letting herself catch her breath.
Her heart was pounding in her chest, aching to get out of her body and away from here. It was like a blur of motion around her and she was nearly stopped in time.

The battle was in full swing, the sound of clashing weapons and the cries of the fallen filling the forest air with pain, anger, and grief. Those that were healing pulled the still living from the fray and hurried them off towards the camp, avoiding arrows and other weapons on their way out.
The Obans pulled back their forces, more and more of their foot soldiers falling. It would seem that the rest of Tendaji, despite their inexperience, was pulling through and worrying some of their enemy. Enki led their group forward, pressing the Obans further and further back from the forest.
The other leaders followed his lead, all pressing forward. The magic users and long range attackers were told to press onward, throwing themselves farther into the thick of things and further into advancement against their opponent.
Things were looking good.
Before long they were pressing the Obans back to the forest edge, but as they reached their clearing between the Jauhar and Oban borders something dangerous came into view.
There in the clearing were three large, almost impossibly large beasts. They towered over the people, their armored bodies reaching nearly twenty feet in height and over forty in length. They were colossal and seemed to be waiting, as if this were the plan all along and the foot soldiers had just been bait to goad them out there.
The three beasts bellowed out, scraping at the floor with their feet and shaking their heads, ready for battle with their four carriers on each of their backs.
Battle System This fight will be using almost the full extent of the battle system. Rules and how to's can be found here. While in the battle system, all characters will be working toward earning a battle req and not their RP reqs (RP post counting should be paused until the battle system is over and regular RP has resumed)
Allowed: You may use all full actions and all half actions with the exception of charge, retreat, and trip Magic users will be able to inflict all status ailments You may use any special attack that you have learned
Not Allowed: You may not use familiars in battle You may not retreat out of range from attack You may not use items in battle
The Three Beasts Each beast has 250HP. They will be able to attack individuals or the group. Each beast will use one attack per round of attacks. The beasts do not have the ability to dodge or counter. They will just continue to attack. When attacking more than one person, they will target random zones of players. (Dice determine which zones and how many per zone)
You may only attempt to attack once between the beasts' round of attacks. However, you may continue to RP as frequently as you wish (though this will not be counted toward an RP req count, it is purely for fun). You must name which of the beasts you are attacking. If you run out of HP, you have been knocked out and may not continue to battle. You will be rushed to the medic tents, and will be able to continue to RP there. Please note! If you do have been attacked by a beast and do not reply before the next attack (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) it is counted as a full dmg attack against the character.
(For those who are new to the battle system: It would be easiest to roll first, and then edit your post with an appropriate RP response.)
The three beasts reared back and threw their feet down on the earth, causing the ground to shake and moan beneath their feet. The tremors crept out, cracking the floor and shaking earth loose into the air. Shards of stone came out, launching itself at those in its way.
Full Attack rolled: 20 to hit :If you roll a 20 to hit your opponent (only your dice roll, no bonus added), you hit your opponent WELL. Increase your overall dmg 50%
rolled: 12 for damage:: (12+8 )/2= 10 X 1.5 (for 20 to hit) = 15 Damage dealt to Beast 3 in Zone 1
Rayolun moved about, dropping from trees to attack those he saw running, or those he saw charging, then returning to the trees to avoid the arrows and to pick his next target out. His eye's narrowed as he and the army entered a clearing to reveal three large beasts. He smirked: beasts, now that was something he excelled at fighting! He ran forward, not phased by the size of the beats. The sea held larger beasts than these! He slashed at the back of the beasts forleg, behind where the armor didn't cover as much.
Aminah attempts to dodge. Rolled: 16 (+7) = 23, no dmg Aminah retaliates! (16 + 11) /5 = 5.4 dmg to beast 3
The beasts thundered through the forest and Aminah had to stop short. Her breath caught and she could feel herself shut down. This was too much. How were they supposed to beat these things? She looked around, hoping that there would be a command to retreat, something - anything - to get them out of here safely.
One of the beasts thundered forward, stomping his heavy feet and sending shards of earth splintering from the ground. Aminah tried to remain calm as one of the shards came her way, but she panicked and fell to the floor, letting the shard hit a tree behind her. She launched her own spell of earth, hitting the beast in its chest before receding to find safer ground.
Kelina had followed the press of people when the Oban's started to retreat. She smiled slightly to the alkidike who pulled out from protecting the ranged attackers to make sure she safely rejoined her group. "I saw something I love getting in trouble, I had to do what I could to protect him, even if I had to go down too. I know its selfish, but he's one of the only things I have left. I'm sure you have some of your sisters or even an earthling you care about in the fray. But don't worry, I'll be going back with the archers now." Kelina wasn't mad at the Alkidike, actually, quite the opposite. Her voice was pleasant as it could be in the middle of a battle and held no venom towards the Alkidike. As the cleared the trees, there stood 3 great beasts, how intimidating they were. Where had Lasarra gone?? This was her area of expertise, how had she allowed her sister to get out of her sight? But she had no time to think of that as one of the beasts rushed towards her. It was well armored and quite scary looking, but thankfully Kelina had enough time to jump and roll out of the way. Taking as long as she dared, she found a c***k in the armor and fired an arrow and had it successfully lodge itself in the beasts flesh.
Ethelfleade had followed much of the same strategy as the shifter she had followed had done, but it soon became too tiring to continue to launch herself into the trees and soon just started staying on the ground and fighting. Her advanced starting position had her be one of the first to see the giant beasts. She couldn't help but smirk, at least until one of the beasts rushed at her. Her eyes were wide as she and an archer dove out of the way, both were lucky enough to have dodged. Following the other's immediate attack, Fleade leaped forward to land a few sword slashes on the beast's legs, a satisfied smile as her swords came away red with blood.
Tahigwa tries to dodge! (Being attacked by beast 1/Zone 3) Rolled: 18 (+4) = 22 NO DMG Tahigwa retaliates! 18 (+5) = 23/5 = 4.6 damage to Beast 1!
Tahigwa wandered away from the strange woman's side at the sound of the beast's bellows. What in the name of Aisha were they? She leaned forward, just as a mass of rocks came bursting towards her, though missing her by several feet. WELL. It was now or never, right?
She raced out and jumped forward, slashing across the beast's side, before finding her place among the group again. She smiled to herself, at least Briella was nearby.
Yaholo attacks! (Going after Beast 2 from Zone 2) Rolled: 13 (+9) = 22 HIT (Needs 20+) 8 (+9) = 17/2 = 8.5 DMG dealt to Beast 2!
Yaholo tossed his opponent aside after a few more swings and turned to face the three beasts that had appeared. He paused, slightly unnerved by their massive size, before weaving through the crowds. These things needed to go down before he did anything else about the men he was battling!
He swung his hammer forward and slammed down upon a beast's foot, before jumping back into the crowd.
Ice lvl1 5/5 Health lvl1 5/5 Fire lvl1 5/5 (Using one this round)
Rastian casts a spell of fire! (Attacking Beast 3!) Rolled: 5 (+10) = 15 MISS (Needs 18+ to hit)
Rastian fumbled to the side as the ground began to shake, a snarl bursting forth as he righted himself. Ugh! Were they having an Earthquake? ...OH.
The three beasts came into view and he felt his blood go cold. ...They weren't friendly, were they? Time for the big guns! He summoned a mass of fire to his hands and chucked it forward, only to miss the beast's head by a mile. Well, crap.
