When the god commented that ladies always wanted to go first, Zaria giggled, as if confirming that. Eagerly, she finally let go of her brother's hand to skip over to the chair and set down her own challenge.
... Wait, Kheliot had the same wings as someone else? She frowned. The other nymph she knew, Mikasi, had totally different wings than Kheliot, so she assumed that either Kheliot had unique wings or Mikasi did. Maybe Kheliot didn't have unique wings, then, if his wings matched someone else? And what was a 'beau'?
No matter, she had an arm wrestling match!
Zaria felt herself getting some leeway, pushing back against the god's hand. It was exciting to her to get even anywhere, and perhaps that overexcitement was what cost her. Suddenly, her strength fell out and her hand was flat on the table.
"Aww." She glanced back to her brother. "Ah well! Your turn?"

Phaenman chuckled lightly. "You can always try again later." There were no rules against that. He just loved the challenge after all.
"Alright kid. Your turn next." He put his arm back up on the table, ready for the next challenge.

Beau nervously tightened his bowtie as he made his way to the table. Just for a moment of course, his eye still on the red haired hybrid. After seeing pae after pae losing, he had wondered...was it really all that hard? Sure, arm wrestling was a very physical sport, but there was some strategy. Conserve ones strength, wait for weakness, ect. Perhaps today brains could win over brawns. He patiently waited in line for his turn.

He offered a wan smile when Phaenman responded to him, averting his eyes both because oh god who was this and because oh god this was a god. It didn't really help when Phaenman stared at him, Kheliot acutely aware of the length of time his gaze stayed on him. Why was he staring at him? Did he have something on his face? He'd combed his hair, hadn't he? He knew he was clean and hygenic. Why the stare? Oh, well... "That's weird," Kheliot offered. "I haven't seen anyone else with wings like mine, before." But then Phaenman was instructing Zaria to come forward and Kheliot quieted. And she was doing so well, too, until that abrupt finish, Zaria's hand palm-up on the table. Oh okay, now it was his turn. Zaria was probably stronger than him, and she had been beaten, too, so he didn't really think he had much of a chance at all. But she'd given it her best and it wouldn't be right of him not to. So, taking a deep breath, Kheliot took the place at the table and reached for Phaenman's hand to begin. Okay, it was hard. His muscles ached, and he had the distinct feeling he'd need to ice his wrist after this, with how sore it got. His elbow didn't feel that great, either. But, looking down at his hand palmside down on the table, he couldn't really feel the pains. The shock of it was a rush through his ears and he didn't quite believe it. He turned to Zaria, eyes wide. "I... I-I won!" His voice was a mixture of equal parts triumph and sheer incredulity. He'd won. Scrambling to his feet with a hasty thanks and 'good game' to Phaenman, Kheliot rejoined his sister. "Zaria I won!"

"Ya, I haven't seen them that often myself. Which is why don't don't forget seeing them." He thought about it for a moment after Zaria's hand hit the table. "I think my niece is bring him tonight. Haven't seen either of them yet though. Might be fighting with their kids since they can't come." He chuckled at the thought. Abby DID have cute kids with her beau after all. They must be adults by now and telling an adult no was impossible.
Phaenman let out a laugh as the timid male beat him. "Hey you're stronger than you look kid!" He hadn't expected the kid to jump up like that. "Watch it you're gonna hurt yourself!" And he was gone. Phaenman shook his head. Kids this days. So excited. Oh well. At least he could brag to the ladies that he had beaten a god in strength. That was always a turn on with the ladies right?
Phaenman watched as a line started to form. Whoops. Better get this moving. Next was another bird thing. "Come on you. You're next." Phaenman put his arm down on the table and got ready to wrestle.

The feline figure wasn't really a strong one, but there would be no harm in trying for... fun, was it? Eh. It was more of a curiosity about this land's 'gods' and 'goddesses' than anything. She understood that she was a creature of bending and flowing, not of brute strength.
But... Eh... why not?

This birdy wasn't as strong like the first one. Phaenman didn't have much problems over powering her, her hand thumping on the table. "No luck for you today."
Phaenman beckoned the next challenger over, another one of those cat things. Where did they come from? Perhaps he should talk to mother about them later. "Come, sit down. Let the battle begin!"

This time, it was Hjortur who appeared by the male goddess, a few moments of confusion flashing on his face before he recognized her. "Oh, hello! It is a pleasure to meet you; I competed with your sister Thalia during the dance contest." He casually left out their being the first to be eliminated, however, and he moved to position himself and try.
This was the first time he was trying such a thing, so it took a few moments for him to properly position himself before trying to best him.

Finally another chanllenger. Did he really scare them all off? Oh well. It just meant he could take some time over by the punch bowl and drink as much as he wanted. Probably not the best idea but he was bored.
The naiad had mentioned his sister. "Which one?" he had four sister after all. It was hard to keep track in such a large family sometimes. He locked hands with the fish and the battle was on.

The punch bowl had been a bad idea. He had lost. He made a face before smiling to the naiad. "Good job."
After the naiad left a demon with a hat took his place. This was good. Hopefully they'd keep this up. He sadly didn't look that strong but looks could be devising after all. He smiled and took the male's hand and started the battle.

At this point, Sharazhad at thought that, maybe, perhaps she might have a chance to go at this god again for a rematch. Perfect idea, right? Maybe that bug bite of competition had got her going too much by this point, but she wanted to prove herself better than Naveed in something else.
Again.
So why not in this?
