Treasure Hunter felt his cheek turn a bit warm as the little foal across the room waved back at him. She was such a cutie but no one needed to know what he thought of her except himself. He looked at Nevermore as she looked at other phonies’ reactions, eyes all focused in hopes to get some laughter out of the ones in the room with her.
He grunted out loud knowing that he had faked his interest in wanting to make valentine cards just so he could fill his stomach with delicious food for free. Hastily, he took out a piece of sturdy white paper and wrote in it. Then he took the glue bottle, squeezed out a few drops of the sticky white stuff onto a piece of candy, and stuck it onto the paper. He looked at it for a second and quickly ran over to where Nev was sitting and threw the card at her. It looked a bit sloppy but that will do! It was, honestly, all he could do with those hooves of his.

Treasure Hunter looked quite surprised as he noticed a green foal, not far away from where he and Taters were sitting, work his way into making a small stack of valentine cards. When he saw the phony get up, he quickly stared at his ‘treasure box’ again and pretended that he was busy. Sure enough, that fella had slipped him a valentine card. This is the second one! Coolly, he swiped it up and read it out loud: “Treasure hunting is awesome!!” He grinned and thought that the card was worth getting curious over.
Again, he took another piece of sturdy white paper and wrote on it. This time he cut out a figure from a magazine and glued onto it before making his way over to where Swamp had sat back down. “Arrrr. This is yours!” He waited a bit and continued: “If ye like, I could show you a neat place to find some shinies. Reply back quickly yarrr. I can’t stand this place much longer.” and he ran back to his own table not wanting to leave Taters on her own.

“Yarr,” he nodded at her. “If she leaves me for me Cap’n, I’d have her walk the plank.” He was about to say something else, but laughed as Taters had a funny valentine card. He showed her the one he got from Nev and laughed again. “I am just as surprised as you are. I got two cards from just sitting here eating snacks.”
Treasure Hunter stared at her again as she started to make a few cards on her own. He stuck out his tongue at the thought of making cards again but continue to hover over the area where Taters worked away with some stamps, stickers, and whatever she could find. He watched her without saying anything. One of those cards seemed to be made for him... He sighed and sat back down and went to make her one too. In case she was expecting one in return.
He waited patiently for her to finish what she was doing before he slipped a card over her way the same time she gave him hers. “I’ll be honest with ye too. I don’t like valentine day or have any interest in making these cards. I’d rather stuff my face and this box full of treats and make a run for it!” he whispered to her. “And did you say treasure? I got lots of those! I can show ye them if you promise not to steal from me. Ever.”
