Good question. Colin wasn't entirely sure how much time he had before his mom got sick of having him around and started demanding he give up his room for her office, but he was fairly certain she wasn't going to boot him out on his a** before he was ready (no matter how many times she might have threatened to do so since he'd hit puberty).

"Yeah, but she didn't give me any set date or time. To be nice, I'd say probably a month or so. Less would probably be better for Mom...then she can stop working out of the kitchen. But it's not like she'd toss me out on my a** or anything." No matter when it happened, he would end up helping to repaint the room and set it up for her - Colin was a good son. Usually.

Duties. Now there was a subject that needed some attention on both their parts, but for different reasons. Now that Colin was back in Destiny City he figured he should start patrolling again; if his mother was to be believed, the dangers of the on-going war for the Earth still took quite the toll on the civilian population. Before he started back up as Sailor Aegir (man, he had not missed that godawful costume, at all!) it would be best if he did some research, see where things really were.

"I did while I was in Battlesea and I plan to start jogging here again, but I haven't the last couple of days...I've been enjoying sleeping in and being lazy." Being lazy was nice sometimes, but the dancer was high-energy and inactivity never lasted long. "What about you?" He straightened and reached over to poke one of Björn's biceps, "Do you still jog or is all your time spent training so you can bench press a tractor?"

Björn chuckled, rubbing where he was poked as though this was abuse. "I still take my cart out, ja."

"The end of March is the 2014 World's Strongest Man. ....I have been training a lot. I ..was thinking...maybe I would try this fall and winter to enter enough of the real competitions to get the awards to go pro. Maybe even qualify for 2015? It could be possible. Maybe. I grew a bit this year, so maybe if I bulk out the extra inches I'll have enough strength, stamina and accuracy. "

"I want to be ready."
"It was mostly a year off....I competed, and I have trained hard...but it has felt like a treadmill. Maybe more with you away- I am so proud. You are actually reaching your dreams. I want to see your name on a theater paper they give at the doors and bring you flowers backstage. "

"I'd like to be something you could feel proud to invite backstage. Not just someone off the street, but a real athlete with a name. "

Now there was another sound he'd missed terribly while away: Björn's laughter. So maybe it made him seem sappy or whatever, Colin didn't care and wouldn't have cared if someone had ever known to call him out over it. "I'm glad. I always liked your cart." Sitting on it while the strongman in training hauled it around Destiny City, watching Björn's a** and legs...yeah, he had some fond memories of that cart.

"I think you should definitely go for it. Especially now that I"ll be around to cheer you on." But he did know that even as strong as Björn was, it wouldn't be easy going - there were a lot of men (and some women too) that could do the same things the Swede could. He would really have to work for it, really have to want it.

"I have faith in you and your abilities..and if you want a wimpy work-out partner, I'm more than game, I'm there. Just don't expect me to bench like...three times my weight. It's just not gonna happen." He grinned and gave a small shrug at that; he was strong, but not that strong - he didn't need to be. Björn did, as long as he was going after titles as a strong man.

Björn's praise turned the dancer's cheeks a pretty shade of pink that slowly crept to the tips of his ears too. Damn his fairness and penchant towards blushing at any given thing. "Well, if I have anything to say about it, you'll be able to do just that." Oh, there it was again, already - that weird way that Björn always seemed to feel Colin was somehow above him; not something that really bothered the dancer, it was one of the few things the Swede did that could exasperate him (especially if he tried to reassure the other man it wasn't so).

"Björn...you're already someone I'd be proud to show off backstage." Colin leaned and stretched upward so he could kiss the corner of the strongman's mouth. Sometimes it was just easier to give in and give affection, really.

"The first time I bring you backstage, titles or no, I'm going to be fighting off all sorts of catty women and men. God forbid they see you wearing nothing but spandex or skin-tight lycra."

Björn smiled, leaning and enjoying the kiss. "It would be something new to have someone fighting over me. "

Maybe princesses in old fairytales were onto something.

But what was so special about lycra? "Most of my work out clothes are Underarmor? Lots of people see me in them all the time? I wouldn't wear those to a performance, though. Theaters are when a suit is expected, ja? I think I will need a new one. I have gained some inches in chest and arms, so my old suit won't fit."

"Maybe you have the same trouble now? Miri could take you shopping for a suit after you both pick her dress."

Björn 's smile and comment would get a little nudge from the dancer; he was amused by the idea that the strongman would want to be fought over, but only for a moment. Who wouldn't want to feel that special? Colin certainly would have gotten a bit of a thrill from it himself. "I hope it doesn't happen...I'm tough, but I'm a lover, not a fighter."

Most of the time.

"Oh right...I remember now." But he'd forgotten. And many of the costumes that dancers tended to wear were lycra - or lycra based, which sucked. Slowly they were moving to something a little less...obnoxious, but when he performed the damned material still crept into his a** crack and left nothing to the imagination unless he took steps to see that it did. "I wish dance would shift away from lycra...it's a pain in the a**. Literally."

He laughed a little, "You know, I was trying on some of my old costumes and it was kind of hilarious how tight and short they were. I need to get some replacements, soon. But I'd rather not involve Miri...she likes to suggest things I...no." She liked to try and put him in things that a figure skater might wear...or a prostitute. "I'll take her dress shopping, but she's not coming near me when I shop. I don't want to look like a sequin-covered drag queen." Nothing against drag queens, but Colin just wasn't interested in looking like one...unless you were talking about Halloween or a costume party. Then maybe. He'd had more than enough time "in drag" before and it had often ended badly, thanks.

"If you wanted to come along, that'd be one thing."

Björn chuckled, admitting, "I have no complaint watching ballet."

Maybe one. The lady dancers never have much to admire other than their legs.

Otherwise there was always plenty to admire. He liked all the tights.

But so far along in conversation, the drinks were getting empty. It was a good opportunity to suggest they move along to whatever was convenient. He got up carefully, so as not to knock over anything or spill Colin about on the couch. "I am happy to carry your shopping bags whenever you like. "

"We are ready to go, ja?"

Colin quirked a brow at him, expression quite mischievous as he teased the big blond, "Or watching me, either, if I remember correctly."

Björn would have been in fairly good company in that regard; most ballerina's were fairly flat chested...it came with the territory and there were a great many other males (and females) that found it a damned shame the girls weren't curvier.

But ballerinas - like most gymnasts, were small, compact and aerodynamic. Usually.

Colin untangled himself from Björn and let him up first before rising to his feet and stretching, one arm over his head, back arched. "I promise I won't take advantage too much." It was odd for him to sit still that long without fidgeting or shifting around, so the stretch was absolutely needed.

"Yep. More than enough caffeine for the moment." He'd toss his now-empty cup, loop an arm through Björn's and they could head out.
