Karter nodded as he spoke. She understood some of it, being a vegan and a vampire, but not to the extent that he was dealing with. There was the possibility that there was nobody at all like him. She bit her lip (immediately regretting it) as he talked about it bothering him not to know. Sometimes, Karter wished that she could know exactly what to say and when. But, she didn't.

His own family? Well... this would probably sound insensitive, if said aloud, but did stars have families? Well, maybe they did. All related somehow, however distant. That made sense... but she would never know, nor would she ever ask. "It's okay." Karter said quietly, walking over to the window. It was still raining, particularly heavily now. "It's hard, isn't it. Well, obviously you just said that... But, well..." She paused for a moment, trying to gather her thoughts. What were her thoughts anyways? "It's hard to put into words... but there are others like you out there. If it's possible for a star to become a human, then it's probably happened before. So... don't get your spirits down. Okay?" She said, turning around to look at him. Her cheeks had flushed very red now, embarrassed because she didn't know she could be such a softie. A worried look didn't suit him... and neither did a sad one.

Karter nodded thankfully, as he said he wouldn't. Her face had started to loose some of the red (or any color at all), until he hugged her. It went right back to where it had started. Heck, maybe even a bit worse. She stood there awkwardly for a second, then hugged him back. He was the one that needed this right now, not her. It had been a while since she'd been this close to someone... at least a year, probably more. It was strange, that was for sure. Karter would have said 'you're welcome' in response to him saying thank you, but it didn't seem like it fit right. "Just don't look so sad anymore." Was all she could think to say. It made her laugh a bit though, because it sounded so corny.

Karter noticed how dark his face was getting in the next 30 seconds. Priceless. Having never really been a hugger, Karter didn't really know if the hug was too long. She let go as he did, holding back a laugh as he attempted to leave the room. She couldn't hold it in as he hit the door frame though, but managed to tone it down to a short giggle. She waved him away, leaning against the wall. After she had made sure he wasn't in ear shot (For all she knew anyways) she started laughing. Percy was a weird person.

After taking a moment to let out her laugh, she felt surprisingly light. Karter figured that this was because moments earlier she had felt terrible about Percy's situation, but who knew. She walked out of his room, not really having any reason to be in there right now, and walked back to her own. Her homework was all spread out on the ground, making a very definite circle where she had been sitting earlier to do it. She always did that, but never really realized it until she stood up. It wasn't finished yet... eh, she could work on it later. Not really all that interesting right now.

Karter yawned as she felt her lip where she had bit it earlier. It had been bleeding... eh, it was just a bit. She had to be careful with the fangs. Once, a long time ago, she fell over on top of somebody, and drew a bit of blood with them. It was an awkward situation, but thankfully they weren't made vampiric. It hadn't fully pierced through the skin, thank goodness.

After standing around for a good five minutes, just thinking about random things, Karter looked at the clock. No classes yet. Good. Maybe she'd just go out and wander the campus... she seemed to do that a lot in her free time though. One can only explore so much.

Well, it was a circus academy, right? She should go practice for the shows, right? Yeah. That made sense. Karter looked out the window, then smiled a bit. Good. It wasn't too bright out, she could walk. Nevertheless, she grabbed a jacket off of her bed and put it on, before walking out into the hallway.

Smooth. She nearly tripped over Percy, not expecting him to be there. Karter stopped and looked at him for a moment. "...What are you doing?" She asked curiously. He was just kinda laying there. Not the weirdest thing she'd ever seen a person do, no, but still kinda abnormal.

Karter watched him curiously. He just got here... Well, that left out classes, because for the first day or so they let you get unpacked and settled in. He did that weird sitting-in-the-air thing that he always did again. By now, Karter was kind of used to seeing him sit like that. "Practice tent. I don't really have anything to do either. Thought I should practice, seeing as I haven't in a while." She said. Oh. Right. He was bored. Should at least offer, right? "Did you want to come?" She asked, stuffing her hands in her pockets.

Karter nodded, as he started to say that he would want to come. As somebody knocked at the door, Karter watched as Percy went to go answer it. She followed behind, waiting in the kitchen rather than the entrance hallway... thing. As he came in and sat criss-cross in the air, just as Percy did, she couldn't help but think 'Great, another one.' She nodded as he, Noah, introduced himself. "Welcome. I'm Karter, and this is Percy." She said. Wait... another boy? That was three, and there were four rooms... 'Oh joy.'
