Apparently, the techs weren't done with him yet. With a groggy movement, Kostya had tried to pull out a block, and instead went down a second time. grunting. Another dart stuck out of one, conspicuous area:

Leaning over, America stared down at the unconscious Russian and made a sympathetic sound. Then took a picture. Eventually she got up to pluck out the dart, absently giving his butt an affectionate pat, and resetting the game one more time.
Looked like they were both down to their last chance now.
"Yeah, you look super peaceful now, dontcha. Huh? Huuuuh? Yeah, that's what I thought."

He did, in fact, look extremely peaceful, considering that he was now knocked out cold.

With a small, condescending laugh, America picked out another peace and tossed it onto the tower with a skilled flick of the wrist. "Yeaaaaaah!" She crowed victoriously before standing up and doing the tootsie roll while chanting U-S-A! U-S-A!
Eventually she remembered that beating Kostya did not, in fact, mean she beat the game. Clearing her throat, she gave the Russian a stern, accusatory look for distracting her. Loosening her arms, she studied the tower with renewed intensity before carefully choosing her next piece, the perfect piece that would take her right into the next round and into true victory. The tower held, heeeeeeeld..
The room shook from a distant explosion.
She was out.
The next either of them woke, it would be very tastefully arranged on the observatory couch. America was transformed into a Very Dapper Pirate with what looked to be a room number scrawled across her forearm.

Kostya woke up decorated like a very poor imitation of a matryoshka doll, groaning.
"America?" he asked, groggy, and began to mutter horribly in Russian, incoherent. Syntax advised that he try 'turning it off, then turning it on again' with a flickering power light.
His attempt to stand was punctuated with another dart, as someone had left him devoid of a nice little bonnet.
