The words weren't as reassuring as she had hoped they'd be, but she nodded again all the same. "I'll worry, but I'll keep quiet about it and hope for the best," she promised, shifting her hold on Lovey again and fighting off a quick chill through her shoulders.
The next response was almost exactly what she had imagined, and she nodded, though her expression fell quickly, her words quiet and simple. "I thought so..."

Dove raised a hand to pat Thierry's neck as he approached, glad for the small bit of warmth on her hands. "Yeah..."
Again it made sense, and something in the back of her reaffirmed her feelings. She really should have known better, and as much as it hurt...she had to let him go.
Suddenly, a large part of he rwanted to cry.
Instead, she offered Flynn a smile. "Well... Hopefully he'll be back soon in any case."
