Kadentsu smiled widely at the mare. Most never truly understood why she would want to wander around the lands like a lost puppy.
"I see all the lands as my home. I belong where I am needed most. It's something my heart has felt for a long time."
She looked wistfully at the mare, then down at the ground a bit.
"Though yes... It would be nice to find a place where I belong. Someplace my loved ones are, waiting for me."
Looking back up at the mare, she let out a little sigh.
"What about you? Do you have a place to call your own? I bet it's beautiful."

Amaranth inhaled sharply before replying, "No, um, I mean, no I don't really have a place that I call home right now. I'm on my own traveling. Some part of me always wanted to see the world, I just never thought I'd have the chance to actually do it..." Of course now she had very little holding her back since she couldn't return home. "I guess," she continued bringing her thoughts back to the present, "that is why I try to take the time to appreciate the little wonders this world offers. There is much to cherish in this realm."

Kadenstu smiled widely at the mare. She could tell there were things that must have laid heavily on her heart, but she was sure that the darling could move up and past the things on her mind. After all, she seemed pretty strong for a delicate little flutter.
"Traveling is a good way to get rid of stress and worries about the outside world. And then you get to see so many wonderful things. The amazing things in this world certainly need to have time taken to appreciate them."
She dug her nose into the grass a bit, breathing deep and taking in the smell of it all. She always loved the simple smells of the grass and the waters. They smelled so fresh. She wanted to smell the snow capped mountains and even the sands of the desert.
"I think that seeing everything there is to see is the only way to truly live..."

"It is an enjoyable life," Amaranth agreed. "A solitary one too," she noted quietly. "Some times I can go weeks without seeing a soul, depending on where I'm traveling. If not for my companion Cydi, I might go for months in the more solitary lands. Though the more treacherous lands, are not the best environment for a little mouse." Not the best for a flutter either, she had to admit, but a little cold would not stand in her way or stop her travels.

Kadenstu nodded at the mares words.
"It's certainly true on that. I've been to many lands that are no inhabited by anyone. Even been to some that barley have animals. It's never much fun, but I still enjoy traveling. And it just makes me even happier when I DO get to see another Soquili!"
She chirped a bit, making happy little noises. Thinking on how happy it always made her just chipped her right up.
"Is there a particular place that you enjoy most?"

"No single place," the mare replied softly. "But I find myself often drawn to wide open meadows bathed in moonlight. I know it's cliche but I feel at peace there and I'm able to reflect, let my thoughts wonder, you know?"

Kadentsu nodded at the mare.
"Moonlight is some of the best to travel to in my opinion."
She smiled widely at the mare. The stars and moon were always something to behold on a clear night in a wide open meadow. So many stars. Many more than one Soquili could ever count in their lifetime.
"Though it's best to always use the light of the full moon if you are going to travel. Clear nights are better than most, but a little bit of clouds is good too."
She shook herself a bit thinking about how long it had been since she had actually taken a moonlight stroll and watched the numerous stars in the sky.

Amaranth giggled, "Indeed, without the sun and the moon we'd be left to stumble around in the dark. And that is no way to travel. Where do you go now?" Amaranth asked with curiosity. "What souls will be fortunate enough to have your aid in the upcoming days?"

Kadentsu thought for a moment. She hadn't been sure where she was headed before she met the mare. Though now she had a bit more of an idea of where it was she wanted to head. A direction to set off in at least, which was a start.
"I'm not sure where I will end up exactly, but I'm going to head East from here. I believe there are some smaller herds in that direction, if memory serves me correctly."
She smiled at the mare.
"Where are you headed? Anyplace you had been before?

"Into the rising sun," she noted thoughtfully considering the mare's reply. "A trail for beginnings and renewals, that is fitting, I think. As for myself, I am uncertain. I suppose I will go where ever my hooves and wings lead me, sometimes that is the best way. I wish you well on your journey Kadentsu, thought it seems you have your path well managed."

Kadentsu smiled at the answer. This mare certainly knew what she wanted, even if she ended up taking the long way to get to it. She wished her happiness in all things she put her mind to.
"Thank you very much. It was nice talking to you, perhaps we shall run into each other again. I feel fate might have a bit more in store for us than a simple meeting."
She bowed to the other mare, gently turning and heading off to the East. The sun was starting to set at her back, but she was confident it would be a good night for a walk. The moon and stars being her guide.
