Rishima's antennae twitched a bit when Gerraden said that he would have the house built in no time. Was he that good at building things? A bit of a surprise given his young age but he guessed this was what they meant when they said not to judge a book by its cover? Giving a smile he said, "Well then, once it's built I suppose we will see about who is available to help me to move. For the time being I think we should see about getting you home. I wouldn't feel comfortable just leaving you here in the middle of the forest when I return on my patrol." Especially since it was going to start to get dark soon. The last thing he wanted was for Gerraden to be at risk because he wanted to start the building project sooner then later.
"Come on, I will even walk you home if you like?" Or at least as far as the edge of his village. While Gerraden and his family were accepting enough of him he couldn't say he knew what the others in the village thought of him. He was Alkidike after all, by both his mode of dress and his manners, and he'd rather not start anything with the Shifter population when there was already enough out there to worry about at the moment. Escorting Gerraden to the edge of his village might be the best idea, then he'd return to his patrolling, making sure everyone was kept safe.

Alright perhaps he needed to now sound quite as confident as he did when it came to house building, but in his mind love could make you do anything. So a house shouldn't be any trouble right?...Never mind that is needed to be built in a tree.
Returning his attention to Rishima the hybrid gave a loving smile and small laugh. The way Rishima talked it was like he was leaving a baby to fend for itself in the forest. A baby with a really big sword.... "You fret too much. I do have this awefully big sword to protect me you know. And I intend on using it to protect you too, we are in this together." Gerr managed though he mentally added 'forever' to the end of the sentence.
"If you insist on going back on your patrol...then I suppose to the edge of the village ...will suffice..but don't stay away too long okay?"

"I might be a little overly cautious but given the situation at hand I feel that it's best that we act in a more careful manner." Sure, Gerraden had a sword of his own now but how well did he wield it? Had he dueled anyone yet? Would he be alright if he ran into an Oban or two? These were among the various things that he was worried about when it came to not only Gerraden but everyone that he cared for. Jerarda, his other sisters, his mother, Aisha, everyone he knew... he worried about them all as far as the Obans were concerned. He didn't want to risk anyone... but the way that Gerraden spoke, well, it made it seem as though he felt the same way. Flushing slightly he said, "Sorry... I just want to make sure you're safe is all." Gerraden was special, he was just like Rishima was in many ways, and it made him feel the desire to look after him.
Giving a nod of his head he said, "Yeah, I will need to return to my patrol soon. I am grateful for you getting me to rest but I can't sit still long, not when there is potential danger out there." Who knew when the Obans might attack again? Giving a smile he added, "I will try to visit between patrols, even if its just to say hello to you and to ask how your work is going." Maybe he'd stay busy building the house and stay far from danger? That would be something that Rishima would be all for so he'd do his best to encourage him as far as the building project went if it kept him out of harms way.

Gerraden could of smirked at Rishima's response, life was too short to be worrying about death around every corner. At least in Gerr's opinion, he'd much rather be doing other things than worrying about the Obans. Much more interesting things....
"You know you can always come back and I will always treat you right, you just need to do it more often..." Gerraden trailed off moving to walk closer beside Rishima in a rather non-chalantly fashion. It only took him a couple of strides to sync up with Rishima's and then the arm slipped out and draped around the other's broad shoulders.
"Don't make me go out and drag you back. Promise me okay? At least check in every other day? Please?" Turning his head to Rishima he gave his best 'puppy eyes'.

Rishima's antennae lifted up before giving a rapid twitch as Gerraden sidled up to him and wrapped an arm around him. He blinked a couple times as he was told not to make Gerraden come out and drag him back, something that might be a little embarrassing to have happen to him... so yeah, best that he didn't take too long in getting back to see Gerraden. He gave a little nod before he said, "I will check back in, to make sure everything is going smoothly, though I can't promise that it will be every other day. That is quite often after all and I can't say how far my patrols will take me." Sure, it was mostly the Chibale Isles and where Gerraden lived that he was patrolling around but one never knew what the elders might want to add to his patrol range.
"I will do what I can to come and meet you when I can though. I don't want you to be forced to come drag me back here after all." He said with a soft laugh. Best that his sisters didn't see him getting dragged about by someone so young or else they might think that he was going soft, which was the last thing that he wanted them to get in their heads. He was pushing himself after all to look ever strong in their eyes after all.

The young man frowned, wishing that Rishima would of been able to visit more often, though he could only pout. After all Rishima felt the need to patrol and he couldn't very well stop him from doing that could he? Well...beyond strapping him down or tying him to a tree....there could be fun in that...couldn't there..?
Shaking his head slightly as the perverse thoughts filtered through his mind he sighed and half shrugged. "ALright...I guess I can be happy as long as you touch base. I know you are busy....sorry I am being a pest." Gerraden apologized though he really felt that he should be more insistent on Rishima coming to rest... He tightened his arm around his 'mate' before letting him go slowly.
"The elders must really...respect you to give you so much work.."

"No, I don't think you are really a pest." Now overly friendly, perhaps. There were some out there in the world that might not appreciate his puppy like manner but Rishi wasn't really all that bothered by it. Sure, he seemed to be the sort that wanted to be in really close quarters with him at all times but he felt that it was something that he could get used to with time. He just didn't really have any others who were so hands on. Jerarda, she could be cuddly at times, but she was a rarity among the sisters, at least in his eyes. She was special, as was Gerraden, he would really need to see about bringing them to meet one another sometime soon he thought to himself as they walked along.
The feeling of Gerraden's arm tightening around him drew his attention from his thoughts to the other male, and he seemed to think on his words for a moment. After a moment he gave a smile and said, "Perhaps, there are some among them that respect me, at least Elder Yansa and Elder Eshe." He could only hope that with enough work that he would be able to win over some others as well, "Even if there are those who don't care for me I will still work hard." The more he worked hard the better chance he might have one day at being able to get more then just those two to respect and if not, well he'd still work hard to keep all of his sisters safe, even those that were the biggest fans of him. Even those who would rather him not be around, he'd still fight to keep them safe as well.
Before now it was only his sisters that he seemed to concentrate on... but now he felt the same desire to keep Gerraden safe as well. He felt it was a good thing, that his protective instincts were branching out to more then just the Alkidike. It was something that some of his sisters might not appreciate but he saw no reason to cling to old hatred when they had a real enemy emerging before their very eyes. There might very well come a time they needed help from the other tribes to deal with the Oban threat, something Rishima was more open to then a lot of his sister.

Gerraden unfortunately was a rather single minded fellow, though he had released Rishima from his hold he wanted so badly to scoop him up again and never let go again. Like how Rishima wanted to patrol to keep everyone safe, Gerraden was more selfish and wanted to hide Rishima away and just make sure he was safe.
"I don't know how anyone couldn't like you, I know I certainly do." Gerraden managed to say in a matter of fact sort of manner, as if that was a rather obvious remark. "But seeing you work hard makes me feel as if I need to work harder as well. I want to prove to our 'sisters' that hybrids will become the new blood, their way of thinking is very ancient..wouldn't you say?"

A soft chuckle escaped from Rishima before he said, "I am glad to hear that, I might not have guessed otherwise." He couldn't help but to tease him just a little bit, there was nobody in the world who would miss the way that Gerraden was follow around after him like a little puppy. Still it was nice to hear at the same time when he found himself dealing so often with his more prickly sisters. As they walked along he found himself lifting his free hand to scratch at his shoulder, finding it odd that Gerraden wasn't clinging onto him anymore. Maybe he'd gotten too used to it he decided.
Turning to look over at Gerraden he smiled, "It's good to hear that you want to work hard as well. I can tell you know though that we have a lot of stubborn sisters, though who want to cling to the old ways. If there are others out there though, those like us, who are willing to work hard for our sisters and for Aisha then they should be given a chance." There were some things that the Alkidike still did that he felt were quite old fashion and set in their ways. It was up to the younger generation to hold a hand out to those who would come after them, to those like himself and Gerraden.
"Seems like we have arrived." He said, looking the village over before he turned his attention to Gerraden, "Now, remember, you said that you were work hard so don't forget to do just that, alright?" Best that Gerraden worked hard at everything he did, be it building, impressing their sisters, and getting better with that sword. He wanted him to be strong even if he would rather Gerraden stay far away from the war that was coming. Better he just stayed home building, though he doubted it was an option in Gerraden's mind at this point. Not when he seemed so determined to look after Rishima despite their age and rank difference.

Gerraden wondered if RIshima had met Aisha and what it was like meeting something akin to a goddess. It was...a giant tree though wasn't it? He still wasn't really sure how Aisha worked. He wanted to ask Rishima about it when they arrived to his village. His face flickered to the village, a few people were milling about some even stopped to stare at the pair of them but Gerr just gave those few a big smile and waved to them heartedly.
As if they were caught staring the few who had stopped to stare suddenly had to be somewhere else in a hurry. Gerraden returned his attention to Rishima and looked at him with such fondness you'd swear he had a tail that was wagging behind him.
"Of course! I won't forget and when I see you next I'll show you how far I got on our house."

Rishima nodded, starring at Gerraden a moment, wondering if there was something that he should be doing at this point as a farewell. He thought on it a moment before he stepped closer, wrapping an arm around Gerraden to give him a hug, before stepping out, "Have fun with your building project." He said, giving him a smile before he turned and headed back on his way, away from the village. Given the stares they were getting it might be best if he went on his way, back to the forest, back to patrolling. As he did so he turned to give Gerraden one last glance before he headed up the nearest tree.
Even if he liked the guy he couldn't very well just stay here all day, it was a nice idea, sure, but it wasn't exactly something that could be done, not when they weren't enjoying days of peace. Maybe once the Obans were dealt with they would have a better chance at spending a peaceful afternoon together, one that wasn't taken up mostly by him sleeping. It was something that he hoped for at least as he returned to patrolling and keeping the area safe.

Gerraden was use to being the more forward one, and he was rather surprised to find Rishima hugging him. Not that he was stunned for too long as his own arms quickly went about wrapping around the hybrid in a strong embrace. Or...at least that had been his intention when Rishima stepped away. His arms scooping up only empty air. Blinking he tried to regain his composer, as that had been rather embarrassing. He instantly missed the others warmth, and strength wrapped around him....
A bit on the stunned side he gave an idle wave as Rishima left him..feeling more alone than ever.
